The Asheville show which was the opening night of "The Final Campaign" sucked because it was in some indoor place where they couldn't use their pyro which completely killed the atmosphere when they played Hell Awaits. Demmel is a great, great rhythm guitar player, but his leads are very questionable and most definitely not clean nor tight. I mean, Slayer 2.0 doesn't need a virtuoso, so he's still a great fit. I just do not understand how a professional musician could not progress in his field of expertise.

I fucking love Paul Bostaph!!! super pumped to see him playing agian, he is a super solid and very hardworking player, and you can see that in all his work. It also must be nice to have a fresh start where you dont have to hang in the coat tails of other players.
Honestly I think his drumming lacking feel or swing. It just feels so mechanical and overly technical to me. He is a good technical player and has speed but that's not everything

I think Dave Lombardo's drumming fits Kerry's riffs much better. Paul is not a bad drummer by any means; I just prefer Dave's drumming a lot more.

@@ashkanmathers2957 fair enough, but i would say kerry was lucky to play with that caliber of a player honestly. i also love dave lombardo too, but this isnt slayer anymore, and i think dave is better in mr bungle nowadays, seems a better fit, especially with daves strong punk undertones.
