I already said this a few times but PLEASE watch live performances from Japanese Showcase 2019. There is a playlist of their performances on youtube and it amazing. They did Hellevator, District 9 and other songs you have heard. I think you would like it, the quality of the sound is also great.

Felix was still struggling with Korean and in general was not very confident with his singing/rapping, that's why he had very few lines in earlier songs. during the kcon performance when you asked if all of Bang Chan's rapping part was the back track - well, you hear very little Bang Chan live and very well Hyunjin back track. you are right, it was Hyunjin's hiatus, but they didn't want to re-do songs and cut Hyunjin's parts away - I guess they wanted to let fans know, they they expect Hyunjin to be back. I have seen some performances, where they just let Hyunjin's parts play as backtrack without anyone trying to sing on top of it... People love Hellevator, because it is the very first song SKZ did as a group, we have seen them doing it in the survival show and the meaning of the song is about their struggles as trainees going through Hell in order to reach the Heaven (debut). So the song is just very meaningful for the groups and for the fans. looking forward to more SKZ reactions :)
hyunjin's part (the backtrack) that channie covers were purposefully left there cause during hyunnie's hiatus they weren't even able to mention his name so it's one of the things they sneak over, like they kept it there and channie didnt even sing the last part to show that it's hyunnie's part
After Woojin left and they re-recorded the vocals the song became an OT8 classic. Thank you for your time. They all can't be a favorite. Reminds me of lasagna never bad but sometimes better than others.
The dance practice audio was actually the demo with only 3RACHA singing it! They hadn’t divided the parts up at that point. In fact Minho wasn’t even supposed to rap in that song but JYP made him rap on the spot (and ended up eliminating him for it 🙄) he only trained for about a month and he was the fastest to learn all of the Jyp basic dances and Chan picked him right away
I relate to you on another level because CHANGBIN also my bias. And also about HAN, he is beyond the bias, HAN is my no 1 ultimate bias among all of my biases in each kpop male/female groups actually. Like he always surprise me with his talents. Hellevator is the title track of Mixtape, their pre-debut album with all the musics from their survival show. The ones who covered Woojin parts are actually (or at least I think so) Han and Lee Know. The high note that Changbin does at the end of the chorus was always his. In the version without Woojin, Han does all of the highest notes, even though he already did the high note before the second chorus. If I'm not wrong it's Lee Know who choreographed the dance. At first Lee Know's rap wasn't his but Hyunjin's but during the survival show JYP asked him to do it, even though he had never rapped before.
Really enjoy your reactions! It would be fun for you to see Get Cool part switch ver with live vocal cover they did on LoveStay. Basically everyone was out of their 'comfort zone' (except Han lol) but they still did amazing and it sounded great. My personal highlights are Changbin covering I.N parts, I.N covering Felix and Lee Know as Changbin hehe

10:30 yes that part was loud back track cuz Hyunjin was on hiatus and I think they always tried to show that he's with us and he'll come back.
The songs where they didn’t adjust the choreography, and they just left Hyunjins spot open makes me incredibly happy and sad 😔 🖤🖤🖤
