I saw these two girls are really good, how do I pick up the basketball at the right position after those combos??? They did pretty good and I wanna know how do I it!
I'm not going to lie, my son and I started studying Phil Hardy's teachings, and we have seen major major improvements in his game. The movements create major muscle memory that once you get down, you don't even realize you are doing it in a game.
The only problem is that if you doing moves without thinking and their not perfect it might be hard to learn from mistakes that you realise only after you've made the play
I'm 50 years old. I played street ball and some local tournaments back in the day. Nothing major. Just loved playing. Watching Phil Handy workout with players has opened my eyes as to how much a lot of coaches were NOT teaching players! Salute Coach Handy!
True but the game was mote inside out back then now its put your best 5 on the floor positionless basketball and I actually love it and I'm Lil older than you
@@Mark-xr6qr right , some of us that played back then would actually fit in better playing now. I know I would. Because back then I'd get taken out the game for taken certain shots and doing certain moves
Phil is a great Coach. Angles is one of the key components to any sport. if you learn the fundamentals incorporating angles and balance in your game everything else will come together.
This brother is a straight jewel!! Fundamentally awesome a straight pro wit it!! Check the footwork I mean he drillin'em on how to get the defender on that back foot. That's everything to me and only because when I was younger this guy back in the day told me "I'm always watching you feet to get falling back to change direction in you. Dragged me everytime
9:42 I like how she had that subtle flinch to the right before the crossover to the left. That's natural stuff right there. She has natural rhythm with the rock.
Blessings Mr Handy, I’m stealing some of these! Haha. Your ball handling drills are some of the best I’ve ever seen. Very talented young ball players you got doing a great job s/o’s to them
Excellent. I have a 7 year old daughter who is showing interest in basketball. This video illustrated what I was talking to her about fundamentals. Thanks.
Dayum Phil dropping truth bombs and truly knows how to unlock the students full potential. Hes just giving them the tools they need, to build confidence to do it on their own.
Give it some time i fell back to let my boys enjoy other things now they won't put the basketballs away we played one day on the courts it was 20 degrees out...wish you the best
On the second drill, behind the back, they need to continue reading the court, as opposed to look down at the ball, while the ball comes back to the opposite hand from behind; that fraction of seconds will get you off the eye-flow, while reading the court. Eyes up all the time! Thanks for your hard work.
First time seeing you, unbelievably impressed with the coaching…no surprise I guess. Encouraged by seeing it paired with the talent those little sister already bring. Loved this post!
Awesome drills. Wish someone could have tought that when i was young playing. We are so far far far behind i Denmark and that's why we still do not have an NBA player. We came close with Christian Drejer in the early 2000's
Thanks a lot coach, I’ve always been a post up big man, I’m 12 and I’m 6 ft but if I can develop a bit of a point forward game I’ll be deadly, thanks coach you are really helping me out
At the 5:00 mark when you said attack the back foot, what does it actually mean? Always thought we should attack the lead/front foot to open up the defender and make him change angles (e.g. defender’s left foot is top foot, you attack his/her left side). I’m thinking it’s the same thing as you meant on the video, just cued it differently, but do correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks Coach Phil!
They got tired around the half tho, these girls have quite impressive shoot touch…! I’m totally agreed with you coach Phill, “quality than quantity”. Hope young me had a coach like you…!
This is better than any ball handling workout I’ve ever seen and it’s supposed to be helping you with pull up jumpers and switching gears to get your shots off 😂😂 this why you can compare nba players to anybody else. They got the best trainers on earth lmao.
The Chinese on the coach's chest→活出你的伟大👍(Live your greatness) By the way, I want you to know that it would be nice if the film had Chinese subtitles, because your course has fans from all over the world, including the Chinese community.😁🙏🏻
@philhandy Love your videos! Incredibly helpful for me as an aspiring coach. Thank you! I wondered if you could make a video about the hook shot? It's my favorite post move and I think, a slept on move, yet super unguardable. I've done my own work over the years developing the hook and I'm curious how it may differ from your methods. Thank you again, and I wish a healthy year to you and yours. -Nash

Hey Phil, I appreciate you. I am having signing up on your app
I saw these two girls are really good, how do I pick up the basketball at the right position after those combos??? They did pretty good and I wanna know how do I it!
Is it “ put in front on me” after the dribbles???
But what happen after I did the cross? I thought I supposed to keep the ball on my side instead of my front .
And thank you so much!!! “ attacking the back foot! “ so much help in my skillz!!! Love u hero!

I'm not going to lie, it's really reassuring when you say you're not going to lie...
The only problem is that if you doing moves without thinking and their not perfect it might be hard to learn from mistakes that you realise only after you've made the play
Great to be exposing him to this!
Phil Hardy is a special coach. the way he teaches makes total sense.

You didn’t mention high school or college. Who has coaches if you only played street ball?
Idk if it’s fair to compare those coaches to a guy that’s coached in the NBA tho lol
This was Mamba Sports Academy
🙏🙏🙏 2 , 8 , 24 always remembered.....
Lil kobe and Giannas
This little girl has better handles than 80% peeps at the park 😌😂😂
You mean 99%
Duh they dont have a professional coach to teach them
80 percent of ppl in nba
Phil is a great Coach. Angles is one of the key components to any sport. if you learn the fundamentals incorporating angles and balance in your game everything else will come together.
I tried out for the canton charge in 2015 and met this man once and learned so much in just a day, legend!
First off Phil is a goat with this and that young girl is amazing. Also shout out to the taller girl working on her handles, very impressive.
The information u give between drills is priceless...💎💎💎
There is no doubt that Phil is legit competent coach. He learned his craft well.

I can’t play basketball for Shiet but I like to increase my vernacular and understanding of the game. Phil is fun to watch!
I watch Coach Handys videos, take notes and teach my son. His game has improved so much. Thanks Coach.
6:45 is great advice. I do this too. Would be an honor to train with Phil tbh.

He’s telling them to attack the back foot at an angle 🦶 first, *THEN* go over the top of the defender’s lead foot. This creates space to execute
In the LAB with Handy baby!
