William Sadler's performance was majorly underrated. I think it's because there were SOOOOO many villains in this film for good ol' smart-mouth John (BRUUUCE!) to tangle with. But anyhow... wow, where has the TIME gone?!
@renj6531 In a way, it *was* really dumb, but I guess the director wanted a way to set up the villain's martial superiority over McClane's "cop only" abilities. The remote thing was wacky too, but... whatever. 😁
Bonnie Belelia was absolutely stunningly beautiful in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Vastly underrated compared to better remembered actresses of her era. The film nowhere near as iconic and legendary as the original, but it did kickstart that decade of great action films just as I was entering college. Great memories watching this at the cinema in 1990.
I flew through Dulles on my way home from being stationed in Korea and asked a cop if they filmed there, no. He did let me use the shower in his police station and for that I'm super grateful.
I agree. It's horrendously undervalued. I can see why some would prefer the first one but I strongly disagree with the idea that the third film is better than this one!
The third film is great up until u realise the villains rwal plam,to rob the gold reserve, lost intrest its great until then. Its like he dont really wanna kill mcClain for killing his brother its like oh well I use him as a pawn if he dies ok goid. 2 for me my fave but obviously the first I love too,its the daddy.lol
@@rosemaryfarell5264 Agreed, plus John and Holly separating for no reason! And all Simon really wants is to steal gold. Hans wanted to rob the vault yes, but he was going to kill all those hostages and Colonel Stuart was the most dangerous villain in the series.
Robert Patrick credits this small role as what got him into Terminator 2. He said he spent his whole earnings for the movie in an engagement ring for his fiance.
Love this movie Classic William Sadler as Colonel Stuart ,Franco Nero as General Esperanza to the late John Moss as Major Grant ,Bruce Willis is Back and more explosive as ever to Bonnie Bodelia as Holly ,William Atherton as the most annoying character The Reporter from the original.Always Christmas with the Die hard Trilogy 🥃🥂🍾🌲
The Boeing 747 used was Evergreen Airlines N473EV. A former passenger aircraft delivered new to Pan Am in 1970 as N753PA. Last name she had with Pan Am was Clipper Queen of the Seas.
William Sadler is under rated here. It was this role which made him stand out as an actor to me. I’m my mind he’s similar to Bill Paxton (rip). They are very good at what they do in that they tend to enhance their fellow actors.
Yeah he was not only a great villain in this but also stole the show everytime he was on screen. I also liked him in Shawshank Redemption and Tresspass.
@@cockerpoodles1238 I don’t either the 2nd I feel is better then the 3rd and definitely better then 4th and 5th. I always have had liked the first 2 movies.
There was a lightheartedness and sense of comedy in this film that was completely absent from he films that followed it in the franchise. They never should have removed christmas or mcclean being in the wrong place at the wrong time from the other films in the series.
The only issue I had with this movie is when the crashed the British Airways plane, the fuel tanks were empty.. So what caused it to exploded ?? Great movie though !! I Love It !!!

Rest in Peace, John Amos
A nice bad guy in this movie
You know, there's something about his line "No, not anymore he's not!" that always made me laugh. 🙂 R.I.P.

What a era of the 80s! Movies, music like Def leppard, Whitesnake, Queen... Syntheway as well. Oh, Boy. I wish it come back.

I totally agree! And I am Finnish like the director. But still, the first and the second are the best!
It is my favorite besides the original and can watch the first two over and over especially the 2nd. I like the 3rd to wasn’t a fan of 4th or 5th
I dont know what to say but i think this is my favorite movue thanks to post this
I love this movie!
I still like the first Die Hard.

When the director is better looking than the actors 😂
I hope Bruce Willis is doing ok with his medical condition.
His dementia is progressive so it doesn't get better or stablize.

A+ for environmentally friendly snow. I would imagine its easier and cheaper to use less friendly materials.
On his last comment about doing a Movie of saving the Planet, apparently he did - Armageddon 😉
and now his brain is jelly
RIP!! JOHN AMOS ART EVANS BOB BRAUN!!
Great action film!
He's not in DC, Dulles airport is in Virginia
Yeah but it’s still considered a Washington DC airport cuz it’s only 25 miles away. It’s even called Washington Dulles International.
Could be better than the original Die Hard. And the original Die Hard is my all-time favorite movie.
What I don't get is why the third film gets rated above the second so much.

Ahh, a classic movie from 20th century when they used to film real movies
Renny Harlen the Jurgen Klopp of directors.
I SIMPLY LOVED ALL 5 FILMS!! I HAVE THEM ALL ON 📀 DVD!! I HAVE THE 3 ORIGINAL FILMS ON VHS TAPES!!
had no idea they filmed in MI
Yeah I always thought that was cool.
Well, he saved the plane afterall 😂 👨🚀💥🚀🌠☄
So how did they do the army captain falling into the jet engine?
I know as it looked so real . He was spliced and diced 😅
I miss the 90s

The fuel vapour inside the tank. Apparently its even more dangerous at low fuel
It was a mythical British plane not exactly branded a British Airways plane.

OMG BONNIE BEDELIA marry me! stunning. OUTSTANDING MOVIE.
Best die hard in my opinion
10:46 go back down. let the plane pass. then you go out...
Will DIE HARD 6 DO A CROSSOVER WITH DAYS OF OUR LIVES?! stay tuned to find out!! 😂😂😂😂😂
