He is definitely getting special treatment; he is being charged with things that a normal person would never be charged. If Trump wasn't running for president, he wouldn't be charged with any of this either. It is most definitely special treatment, just not in a good way that most think of as "special treatment".

You don't get a jury in a civil case. It's a moot point there. That said, the judgement was decided before the case even occurred. Liberal state, Liberal DA, Liberal Prosecution, Liberal Judge. They are fining Trump in this case on a crime that they made up. The witnesses testified favorably for Trump, and even claimed they would do business with him again. And somehow the Judge takes this and says the banks were victims of harm. Mr. Wonderful went on MSNBC the next day and said that literally everyone who owns buildings does this sort of thing and that the banks have adjusters for this purpose. It's definitely a broken system and a Kangaroo court.
But it's going to bite them in the ass because they have made an example of Trump. In trying to make him an example of what happens to opponents of the liberal establishments, they made him an example of what happens to big businesses in NY. That's gonna cause a MASSIVE economic shift in the country.

This isn't the RICO case. The state of NY arbitrarily decided that his properties weren't actually worth what he was claiming, thus all the loans he got using them as collateral were him unjustly profiting off of false appraisals. The banks who gave the loans who would presumably be the plantifs in this case actually defended Trump saying "No, we used our own appraisals, we're actually happy with Trump as a customer and want more business with him because he actually pays back these huge loans, please stop prosecuting on our behalf". NY ignored this, and because they actually didn't have any evidence other than "trust us bro" forced it through a civil court to personally sue Trump instead of taking it through a criminal court. And what's more they denied a jury trial and planted an anti-trump judge to give a verdict on it. Then after declaring him guilty set a damage number so high they knew nobody could get the cash together in time to post bond. A number they seem to have magicked out of thin air and not actually based on anything like its supposed to be. Both of which are violations of the 8th ammendment. And then while talking about seizing and selling his properties they are all magickly worth what he said they are again because the city would be profiting off it now. And in the process of all this they completely upend long standing buisiness case law for NY scaring off businesses from wanting to do any business in NYC less the state decide to randomly sue them and seize their assets over what is typical business practice.
And after all that they have the gall to cry and complain when an appeals court lowers the bond amount to something Trump could reasonably pay to file for appeal.

Literally nobody else would ever be accused of a fraud with no victim, or found guilty before the trial even happens, and have any penalty against them stand at all.
No one else would have been charged that much to begin with.
So if he said his property is worth over $100 million, and it's only worth $18 million, the state owes him all of the property taxes that he paid when his property was "over valued."
