Seeing Larry bow his head and cry during his interview while saying he wished he could have an attorney explain this to him because he has no idea what was going on just broke me! 💔 Lauren messaged me back and said y’all talked-thank you so much for all that you do! I was wanting the same thing! He is so balanced and gives such good legal analysis that i wld feel comfort with his explanation of potential outcomes. He gave us three options but clearly felt that this wasn’t a prejudicial error and simply a typo. He was right and thankfully judge Boyce protected the record well with his judgement. ❤

It broke my heart when Larry told Lauren ‘ I wish I had a lawyer to ask’. She said she had reached out to a lawyer. So glad Judge Boyd denied the motion.

"Justice" is a construct, an agreement of contexts, terminology, guidelines and forfeits. The fact of that agreement to standardization is why a scrivener's error can thwart the exercise of "justice"; it is also why the appearance of "justice" can vary substantially, across populations.

Exactly. That would become an abused strategy, with lawyers accusing each other, and clerical employees of intentional sabotage.
I worked in a Law Office and clerical errors happen. They don't happen often but they do occur. It is not the end of the world in this case. Everyone is over-reacting.

And the Judge is all over it right away. I feel like with ALL the other days and pieces of info being accurate... plus testimony!! ⚖️🕊🤍 Justice for these victims.
That's because people interested in Trials love the drama.
I think what’s created the people to overreact (or those that are) is quite simply *THE JUDGE.*
He, *HIMSELF,* brought this info into the light.
On doing so… he waited until the *STATE RESTED THEIR CASE!*
What would happen had he waited until *BOTH* sides rested, and still *neither* side caught this error?
Also, the date error is *after* an amended indictment… the first indictment dates were in the *double digits* …I.e. the 23, or 24th. The amended dates are now in the *single digits.* that is a pretty big error…
@clarabow7077 - I waited 7 years to get my personal injury case to trial (Chicago) and because there was a clerical error - the entire case was tanked. TANKED.

Thank you for giving us some reassurance. It was hard to watch the attorney's reactions. Lindsey Blake literally put her hands over her face. Prior had this crazy smug look and Chad seemed pleased with himself. It felt like it was all over in that moment.
So gross that a defendant wouldn’t have enough respect, even SELF respect, to keep a neutral face during this error. Regardless of who Chad wants to argue caused the death, a little boy was murdered.. bow your head and show respect.
Lindsay Blake has been a star during both cases. 100%.
It felt like to me Pryor had this in his back pocket. He only brought it up when he did praying to god that if that count disappears Chad could get off. It was a honest mistake and Im glad the judge didnt give Pryor what he wanted.
I'm stunned! After the screw up in Lori's trial leading to the death penalty being removed. Hoping for the best! 🤞🏻
In Lori's case was it because the state was repeatedly late with things, missing deadlines to the extent that it prejudiced Lori's defense? Not sure if I'm remembering the correct case 🤔

@@AdallaceThat was a different error. It turned out at the last minute in LV’s trial, there was also an error in the charging documents. The court was not amused, but allowed the state to make the correction. But LV’s lawyer only put up token resistance, too.

The prosecution has been top notch on this case, what a shock & disappointment this error has happened😢
The State has reviewed thousands of pages of information, evidence, documents relating to this case - it was not INTENTIONAL- it’s a mistake
At least the female prosecutors has been top notch in my opinion
Agree to a 90% point. At times it seemed some of them were understandably burned out, or too close, or felt too confident. I'm grateful now that things are okay, and will move forward, but they need to get some fresh eyes on their paperwork.
@@TheSussa75 Yes, they were. Rob Wood cares, no doubt in my mind on that, he just seemed to lack passion this time around
They feel bad enough. I have great compassion. Sleep deprivation results in errors. This is a high stress job for EVERYONE including legal secretaries, paralegals, proof readers, and ultimately the attorneys. Give them some grace!!! We’re all in this together!!! ⚖️🙏✨

Prior said he knew the date was wrong, but didn’t want to tell the team of 4 prosecutors against 1 defense attorney!

Some defense lawyers on UA-cam think the Judge is wrong for going forward in agreement with the prosecutor, claiming Judges are against defense lawyers and biased towards prosecutors for agreeing with the prosecutor’s understanding of the rules to remedy this issue. Please help us understand this better.
The judge ruled in favor of the State and just have to determine how to correct the error. It was determined to be a clerical error; all of the evidence presented during the State's case pointed to the date of death as being between Sept 22-23, and not date of death Sept 9, which was Tylee's date of death.

If this case is appealed I believe Chad should be charged with more charges than he has now. Abusing corpes and illegally disposing of two bodies should be added.

The judge said it was just a clerical area on count 4 which was not to be amended at all. JJ will be ok!

Judge Boyce was obviously looking for any substantive reason to amend the indictment. It would not have been a good day for Justice if he had been aquitted for JJ's murder. Thank goodness it's sorted.
