Tony may have a gruff exterior, but he's a good grandfather, you could see how he was involving Eagan and making him part of what needed to be done, he didn't just leave him standing on the sidelines like a little baby he gave him a bit of responsibility and taught him how am important job gets done. Well done Tony, it's good to see a man who isn't afraid to talk to kids and who knows that giving Eagan and chance is the best course of action if he wants his business to not be destroyed by the 3rd generation curse that so many fall to because the founders don't bother teaching the youngest generation the honour, discipline and work ethic needed to succeed. My own Grandad could've done this but he didn't and my passion for the farming is gone

Couldn't you just block the end of the pipe that's in the pond and then shut off then replace the valve? Can someone explain why you would drain the pond?

I see a lot of comments saying a Cap the pipe but the pipe they were actually using went all the way to the bottom if you watch after they drained it you can see there 2 pipes one is much lower than the other
Ranges from 16-30 hr depending on experience usually, and how big the company you are working for is, most of the money is in the overtime (12-16 hour days sometimes if they don’t have nightshift) and if you get lots of gold out usually a hefty bonus at the end of the year
50 50 90..... If its the upstream valve it wouldn't help in this case... 50% of the time it will be the wrong one, except Murphy's law saya it's the wrong one 90% of the time.
All you have to do is put a cap in the intake of that water tube and that water won't leak out when they disconnect that valve. Even a piece of wood to cover the inlet should slow it down kinda like a big restrictor plate. These cats really aren't thinking scientifically.

Float the foot valve. So it draws water near the top say 4 to 6 ft down. After they get clean water.
