I LOVE the soulistic shift.. i've been trying something slightly similar.. love it!!! I loved your face Mellow when Janna did it really fast!! And always refreshing to see amazing skaters who say a move has taken them 2 months to finesse.. gives me hope! Just SOOO many good steps to learn in this tutorial.. can we get some down in class please Mellow!!! The alignment graphic with the little dots on the knees and then straight line running up the body are a great help to see where the weight should be.. SUPERB video... thank you!!!
Thanks for the amazing feedback and glad you liked the video. And yeah that was fast, even for me! Happy to run through some of these moves in class. Also very happy to hear that the graphics are helpful. I will definitely be doing more! 🙌🏽✨✨
wow - wow - WOW -- this is an incredible collection of skatemoves..... I have six months of learning and perfecting here!!! Thanks soooo much Janna for sharing -- I'm thrilled !!
Glad you liked the video, it was a pleasure to collaborate with Janna on this. Looking forward to more collaborations and will for sure be doing a follow up video with Janna in the near future ✨
Thanks. I'm glad you found the graphics helpful! They take some time but get a lot of good feedback. I’ll be developing these further with the next batch of videos, which I will be filming very soon! 🛼🎥
Love all your videos and the breakdowns of each step, love how you have diagrams in the video to show another POV of where your footing should be. Also got so pumped to see Janna. I always see her on my IG feed and always love watching her moves! So exciting!
Thank you, it's always great to hear that people are appreciating the graphics, super encouraging. I'm quite new to animating so they take some time but i’m getting a bit quicker with each video 👨🏽💻
Thank you, trying to get a bit more consistent with output! I really enjoy making these, just fitting them in with life. Hopefully the series picks up so I can give it more time! 🙏🏽❤️
I'm so grateful for this excellent video no words --- great material to challenge me through the winter....thank you - I'm loving soulistic shift.. the technique really helps improve other areas.... been working it 2 weeks.... today there were moments of I got it !
Thank you! I'm very glad to hear that you're finding the video useful. It's always great to learn from other skaters and I'm really enjoying making these videos (although I do need to get a bit quicker 😅). Also definitely agreed that the Soulistic Shift is a really nice and intricate move that will help in other areas. Keep drilling 🙌🏽 ✨
Just found my fav new skate series🤩 Not only are they great tutorials but they also feature moves that aren't common where I'm at. LOVE!!! Thank you for sharing and helping us all grow 💕
Marvellous, thank you for more moves to practise that are challenging but look achievable from where I am now! Lots there to keep me going for a while!
Thank you. The subs are slowly growing. I will be picking the pace up this year and trying to get more videos out, which always helps! Thanks for tuning in ✨
I'm pretty good on in lines but just got a pair of Bauer Xlp quads. I've spent quite a bit of time on my arse finding out what my body knows on in lines doesn't translate to quads 😂😂 Love the video excellent work ❤
Thank you, I'm glad you liked the video. And yeah, the edges and balancing points are very different! There are lots of things to adapt if moving between inlines and quads. I also skate inlines but have been mainly quad-focused for the last few years. But I want to do some inline skating again soon, as well as ice skating for the challenge! I also want to make a video where I do the same moves on quads and inlines and reflect on the differences, hopefully at some point this year. Anyway, I hope that you’re getting used to your quads 🛼✨
Are these type of moves easier with smaller wheels? I'm rocking the VNLA 62mm wheels and am curious if they are more difficult. Thanks for any help with this question!
In this video I was on 57mm radar energy wheels but I usually wear 62mm wheels outdoors. I think smaller wheels in general are better for precision and agility but also the hardness of the wheel and the smoothness of the surface will make a big difference. Getting the right wheels is a bit of trail and error and it's also down to individual preference. Definitely worth trying 57mm wheels if you have not tried them before. I just wouldn't recommend small wheels for street skating - fine for dancing and staying in one location. Hope that's useful info ✌🏽
@@mellow_moves I appreciate the help! Nobody I know is experienced to help me one these questions I have. I had a feeling finding the right wheel wouldn't be so easy. 😅
In this video, I am wearing Radar Energy 57, which is quite soft at 78A. Janna is wearing Moxi Fundae Wheels, which are much harder at 92A. As you mentioned, I found the Radar wheels a bit too sticky as the surface in this video was very smooth, so the harder wheels were much better in this instance.

Anybody know what roller skate brand she is wearing ?
She is wearing Wifa Street Xtreme. There is a skate breakdown at 17:04 in the video ✌🏽
@@mellow_moves wow thanks
What is the hardness of your wheels please. I guess mine are Little too sticky 😊
