Yes Im Familiar with all that, actually just got back from a crazy huge quartz outcropping in CA found a nice amount of nuggets, chunks of quartz setting the detector off have lots to crush up. Just got back into town. I'm heading up to black canyon and lynx area this week.
There will be good days and bad days .No insurance or retirement benifits etc. However, if you truly know what your doing, yes I believe a guy could make a living finding gold.

With research and knowledge you found a quality deposit then to top it off karma upped it with incredibly beautiful gold🍻. Hopefully that's where you started and there's miles to go! It doesn't seem to have traveled too far...fingers crossed you find a nugget trail leading out of the wash to the source 🤞.

Lots of black sand in the creek at the end. There must be a lot of fine gold as well. Definitely worth dry washing.
