I avoided mentioning the recent Joe Hawley controversy as to keep this video as lighthearted as possible, I do not condone transphobia and other acts Joe has done in the past year but I ask you to make an informed decision before coming to conclusions.

What I really like is the lead singers, Zubin, Rob, and Joe are primary colors lmao
How did i go 15 years without noticing this?
They are also all guitarists
Green... is not a primary colour though...
@@mmgmagic Andrew is green.
@@mmgmagic it when talking about light, the 3 primary colors are Red, Green and Blue, RGB. Yellow is what we see when there's no blue light, just red and green.
Ironically this was posted just before the Ruler of Everything meme became a thing... this video is already out of date.
Haha that's actually how I found the group, and they ended up becoming one of my favorite musical groups
I discovered them through the meme as well, (about a month ago) but they're already one of my favorites.
Remaster it or update it please. I am literally begging you to do this just so I can have a little more new Tally Hall content
i know, sometimes it just feels like there's a god who wants to make sure the comments are filled with "but what about the troll meme tho lol"
@NixComp true
would've been better if you let bora scream for the full 15 seconds

i can't believe a scott the woz edit of ruler of everything was the thing that got me to discover tally hall
yeah i'm really happy that the trollface memes have gotten a lot more people to discover the band. those only started showing up after this video was posted but i would have brought it up if i had the chance haha
Its how I was reminded they exist lmao
I can't believe a northernlion edit of ruler of everything got me to discover tally hall
@@sagewdasauce it was scott the woz, not trollge
It was a Morshu meme for me, lol.
The Shia LaBeouf video was the biggest in-joke in my family when I was a kid. I found Tally Hall last summer and spent so much time listening to and learning about the band! I remember the exact moment I made the connection between the two. Dude, my mind was blown. I’ll always love Tally Hall.
Same
Something similar happened to me! When I was learning more about Tally Hall e members and saw one of them did the Shia lebouf thing I was like WHAAAAA
Dude tally hall's so unique and i really hate how underrated they are.
They're funny and stand out and every has kept that vibe in their solo projects.
Nice video btw aleays wanted to make a video essay on them but never got around to it, so this is beautiful to me.
This video will blow up that's for sure.
it took 2 months to hit 400 views and it went from 450 to 1k in like 2 days idk why youtube is randomly deciding to reccomended this to people now lmao
@@LukePlayz-gf2is that’s how I found them
I am one of the people who does see Hawaii: Part II as one of the greatest and life changing pieces of music ever written, mainly because I know that there will never be another Hawaii: Part II. It's possibly one of the most irreplaceable projects ever, nothing can ever be as amazing as Hawaii: Part II
Tbh, I know a lot of people don’t see it that way, but I truly believe Hawaii pt.2 is one of the best albums ever written. Idk if it’s because I listen to so many different genres so I can appreciate all of the sounds or what, but I really just love it. It’s near total perfection.
I agree, it truly is something never seen before and never seen again.
Its so fucking good
I love this album and one night I decided to show the whole thing to my gf(she had heard some of the songs from me playing them before). We listened to it on acid and I can confirm that it is the best album ever written.
Agreed. HPII is one of those albums I can have on repeat all day and it never gets old. There truly is something multi-dimensional and magical about it.
Zubin: out here doing actual medical stuff
The rest of tally hall: hahahaha funny
Andrew, Joe, probably Ross: We're getting the band back together!!!!
Rob: what
Rob working at Disney be like: WHY
Hearing the word ‘poggers’ in 2024 is surely something 😭
I first found tally hall in 2012 and the first song I heard from them was “Turn the lights off”. I was 7. Those were great times. I’m so glad they are getting recognition again, even if it’s from TikTok or memes. 😄
Love the effort you put into this video
Same! Edit: I first found Shia LaBeouf and then found I’m gonna win on a playlist called “Nolan’s Bizarre Playlist” on Spotify in case you wanted to listen to the playlist. It’s Awesome
My brain cannot comprehend that I’ve been listening to like half of these guys without even realizing who they are
Ok so this....this was INCREDIBLE, dude I can't believe all the effort you put into this, the little details like the color of the subtitles when they say something being the same color that represents them, all the music and the transitions, the bits of you put, O H L O R D the research you must have done, and all that stuff, every moment of this video is incredible both in editing and on the way you presented the content, I loved the poggers part and actually the whole rest of the video too, you are amazing, this video is amazing, keep up the good work and thank you a lot
ill make another video *eventually*
Where it at chief?
i have no ideas ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@sagewdasauce I dont know man, normal youtubers when they run out of ideas they make a podcast or a second gaming channel or smth.
indefinite hiatus 🥲
nice, also why do you have so little subscribers
I seriously hope they regroup soon, I'd love to see another album!
What a bunch of absolute legends
Wooahh you're here?!
nice to know that one of my favourite content creators knows about one of my favourite bands :D
found this video expecting much more than only 547 views... now with the modern trollface edits I'm glad they are reviving this band! great video and keep up the good work!
This is the same vibe as the quinten reviews neil ciceraga
Video you spend 10 minites just going "WAIT THAT WAS THEM?!"
i just realised now that my 2 favorite songs (dream sweet in sea major, and ruler of everything) are connected :D
Sad that they're not making music together anymore, but happy that they're all living the lives they want.
I was introduced to Tally Hall through the banana man video, and was inspired to buy MMMM because of the Internet show, which I watched as each episode came out each week.
But I never listened to good and evil.
First it was because they only released it as digital and I wanted to wait until a physical copy was made, but one was never made for release worldwide.
And now I don’t know if I can bring myself to listen to it knowing it’s the last thing they all worked on together.
I know that it might be a stretch but I am pretty sure Jack Stuaber's buttercup is the reason for a lot of people getting into more unconventional music. The fanmade music video has 187m views at this point and was every where on tik tok.
That song has been around for ages and while they’re both unconventional they don’t have enough of a connection to each other
@@LucyWest370 it got people into more indie music. Like if you finish an album from Jack on Spotify tally hall will play after.
@@beastebeat4956 uh. No wonder my two favorite artists are Jack Stauber and Tally Hall…
Zubin just standing in the pool lmao... he was always my favorite...

Audio: Hidden in the Sand, a calming song with the only instrument being a ukulele
Video: Band playing guitars, drums, piano, singing
You just pulled my foreskin over my eyes because I couldn’t have imagined that any of them would go onto do any of this
ross is that kind of people who has seen a lot of poggers
i do think hawaii part 2 is a life changing worlds greatest piece of music, ive never heard an album i loved more
i think my favorite song on MMMM is banana man just because its so funny, and the band members themselves said it had no meaning other than "hehe, banana." that's what makes it such a fun song to listen to, and the fact that its just a banger
I'm not saying Hawaii II is one of, if not the best collection of musics created by humanity, but Hawaii II is one of, if not the best collection of musics created by humanity
the ending track instantly made my soul ascend into heaven
THIS IS AMAZING!!
Seeing any new tally hall content I haven't already seen on my youtube reccommendations is a treat
Really fun video. I’ve really got into them recently; you showed me a crazy coincidence. Hawaii: Part 2 was released on my birthday. I see it as a special birthday since it’s 12/12/12.
This video was for sure *poggers*
That's so cool, didn't know that they were the ones behind Hawaii Part II and Special, I have a whole new appreciation for them now.
lol I got introduced to tally hall through a bunch of ruler of everything memes
Same, but those are cringe and people think they are funny but it was funny when I didn’t know about them, now that I know about the band, they’re not funny anymore
It’s a very well edited video and underrated good job my friend
It's been really cool to see the new recognition that Tally Hall has been getting. I got into them a few years back and I've always felt that deserved way more appreciation. While it is unlikely, it makes me hopefully we might even get one more album from them or at least a reunion tour.
(Also It is super cool to see Andrew and Ross say trans rights!)
It's cool how basically all of them went onto do immensely cool shit, either continuing with music to considerable success, or getting into the medical field.
Just rad to see. Especially as someone who only just got proper into them like the last couple weeks, after being "introduced" to them back when the Ruler of Everything meme took off.
They've all are doing great things! No wonder each one of them individually had something so special that made tally hall so unique
I recently found out what the heck tally Hall was they’re my favorite flboo Rock band now
This video exudes an energy that can only described as V I B E
While I’ve just now started listening to their music, I technically found them over a decade ago because as a kid I used to watch Happy Monster Band where they sang the songs in it. It’s amazing how after such a long time I can still remember the songs from that show because I remember their style being so unique.
Kipling is a fucking what?
i got introduced to tally hall though old "memes" (not funny memes we know today but memes as in a short music video gag with an artists oc, which would be recreated by other artists with theirs ocs countless times) good times
Bro what a blast from the past…. I remember listening to these guys when MMMM came out. For some reason their live cover of Biz Markie is the thing that stayed most in my mind all these years..
Thank you for this!!
we love our musical fabloo fathers
Cant believe i've listened to a tally hall song before i've heard of tally hall
Sleigh Ride Invincibility Star is fire
Zubin saying Poggers is the best thing ever
I thinik we can all agree that they don't have to fully come back if they don't want to.
We just want one more album, an album that this new generation of fans can actually be a part of.
Dude thank you for making this I really want more people to listen to tally hall. I hope just out of sheer luck they decided to make another album.
I dont know what it is linked too, but Rob also had a bunch of songs for something called 'Asteroid Musical' which i think is a musical never released im not sure but the music is great
i discovered Hawaii Part II in 2014 and honestly it was and is my very favorite album of all time.
i found tally hall because i found Dream in Sweet Sea Major in soundcloud 3 years ago and found out that he used to be in a band
I was introduced to Tally Hall in 2018 with Turn The Lights Out. The instrumental just got all of my attention and liked the lyrics instantly.
Thank you for making this video ❤️
If you want to feel old, the band turns 20 in December.
Not the members, but the band itself
I wish I could have gotten into Tally Hall like 2 years earlier, I could have gone to the real Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum (I live kinda nearby, and my dad used to go to the real place called Tally Hall)
On November 20 2021, Joe posted a photo of him in the Tally Hall uniform he wore. This wasn’t an old photo either. He had his beard and glasses so…
Take that as you would…
Well it's been nearly 3 years since
I found em way back through the video where they ask someone for directions and break out into harmony
yo this is a great video and i havent come around to commenting on it until now, youve covered everything perfectly. i made the sleigh ride invincibility star cover so its also mindblowing to see my own artwork in it omg... people ACKNOWLEDGE it... 420/10 4 the content 💨
i remember getting a notification that joe released a song and my heart like skipped a beat LMAO but the cover art really suits the song, it's like a more distorded jhjh cover with mario and christmas themes! if only i wasn't blocked by joe on instagram
@@Ava-cf2bx BSJDBIHGS he blocks people for the weirdest reasons. a friend got blocked bc they commented "what a horrible day to have eyes" on one of his posts ironically. another one of my friends got blocked because he told joe he has no swag. reasons vary

"Rise and fall, then rise."
bora also made cojum dip thing, which genre instrumental were featured in some joe hawley and miracle musical
This makes me so happy. I got into Tally Hall around 2015, and there weren't very many fans still around. It makes me happy to see them grow in popularity. Though I don't listen to them as much as I did, they will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for making this ❤
WOW. I've heard so many of their songs without realizing they were all connected- I've heard some through meme culture, many just randomly, and I never made the connection. Some of their songs I have listened to a ton and then suddenly I watch the ruler of everything music video and this gets recommended to me and I hear all their songs playing in the background- What a trip. Thanks for the info!
Oh my god these guys are legends. For some reason they randomly showed up in my recommended listening on YTmusic, and I kinda hope they do some more stuff, but now I've got some more stuff!
"Go trans rights" is so funny to me like, yeah say it like you're rooting for a baseball team. Love it
its not about the money spider man its about the trans go trans yeah baby hit a home run woo hoo
Fantastic video encapsulating the history of such a cool band! Keep up the good work
It was resurrected with troll face/trollge, and so trolly hall was born
Troll face is a fiend that brings everything out of their graves as soon as he returns back to life
i'm definitely checking them out after this. i listened to hawaii ptII now im obsessed to know more about them :)
oh god the memories of finding tally flipnotes on flipnote hatena in like 2012
This video is amazing! It ties up a *lot* of loose ends of my time on the internet, I had no idea that so much linked back to tally hall
this is such a well edited vid dude! Great job!
Yeah my first experience to them was the bidding and I would only listen to the “I’ve been sleeping in a cardboard box” lyric and that’s ut
This so indefinitely my favorite band, maybe not my #1 favorite songs, but definitely my favorite band.
Ross, the grey tally hall member is the first one with grey hair
They went from good to forgotten to troll
Hell yeah dude, nice video!
I was big into Tally Hall around 2012 and even drew fanart of some of my friends+me in the traditional outfits of the members, and to realize that much of the music I listen to was made by the band's members after they broke up Tally Hall, alongside how many people have gotten into the band after then, really makes me feel old as hell lmao.

I’m still surprised that I listens to Hawaii part 2, not knowing they originated from Tally Hall
As a Michigan fan it's pretty cool they went to Michigan

Tallyhall just played one day while i was listening to music at work and i just really vined with their music it was nonsesical but nonsense with a flow
Good & Evil is a goddamn masterpiece.
God. I got into tally hall in 2013 riiiight after Hawaii Pt ii’s release (unfortunately) and the fan base was like ten, maybe eleven people online. Or at least it felt that way. But goddamn if their Vimeo skits weren’t funny as hell. Watching sxsw and the boralogues after going thru all the internet show episodes was an added treat. They’re dormant now but they’ll prolly be my favorite band till my grave.

Sleigh ride invincibility star was actually released a long time ago for a Christmas album with a bunch of other artists, and I think there's a free download link out there somewhere. It's just recently been added to Spotify.
Also you should check out Ross' DJ stuff, and Andrew has helped produce for a lot of really cool artists.
Tally Hall's Internet Show gives me serious BalloonShop vibes
