I did not know this however, I failed the challenge, and I almost cried cause I wanted the cool truck so bad and I had played that thing 12 hours straight for the whole event after I purchased it. I was so happy when I saw I had the BM-13 DX
I remember that too, it was rated as one of the worst challenges/events ever back then. This was before crafting events were even a thing. So comparing it to todays events, it is child's play.
You had to get like 5 kills in one match, and you had to either buy the bm-8-24 or activate a code to get a test drive for the duration of the event It was so bad that i got with a large war thunder group just to flood a match with like 30 of us so we could each get 5 kills, and even then it was complete chaos and a bitch to get that truck is still my prized possession however

I've seen someone flying the I-15 exclusively. Over 6k battles, never progressed out of reserve tier. Gotta wonder how many new players that guy chased out of the game.
2k battles in one vehicle is not even that many, I see many high lvl players with 5k+ battles in various low tier vehicles. Saw a player with almost 9k battles in the Pz II and 5k battles in the Pz IV C, I think his username is 'some1nebetter'.
Low tier players are just amazing to watch, so I want to give you a challenge, you can only kill the enemy at low tier when you touch them, so you have to drive up touch them then shoot.
@@sheeesssh646 Probably because there's a certain set 'amount' of pixels that the game needs to render an enemy plane with no matter how far away, so someone on 720p would be able to see enemy planes more clearly than someone on 1440p. I don't know though and this is anecdotal since its easier for me to spot far away aircraft without zoom than with on 1440p
Speaking of bad premiums: Try the Ha-Go commander's smoke launchers. Along with having a talisman, it is the only difference that it has with respect to its non-premium companion. You will laugh
The counterpoint is that this is pretty much the case with all the 250ge premiums, in fact the Ha-Go Commander's smoke launchers is the most material difference i believe between the 250 ge premiums and their tech tree's counterpart. And except for the t26s i think none of them are bad per se, its just the ha-go isnt good already. The thing is the BM8 is being sold for 3,850 GE Over 1000 more than the t35 which if you want to spend something on a t1-t2 soviet grinder, thats the pick. Its infinitely better than this, i should know since i have both.

I once ran into a nutjob clubber exactly like this while spading rank 1 France. he would rush to spawn camp in every game and had over 10,000 games played in the M22 Locust. on top of that he also had thousands of games in other rank 1 clubbers like the Stuart, Pz.II, and BT. when I called him out, he justified it by claiming that this was the only way he could farm SL to play high tier.

I encountered someone like that before too. I had unlocked the firecrest and was spading it out in GRB, when this total edgelord starts going off in the post game chat, talking about how I made a huge mistake and he was going TK me and everyone in my squad till the end of days, blah blah blah. But what was most funny was him acting like I'm a POS for playing low tier as a lvl 80, when he had about 10k more kills than me and hadn't even played a rank 3, ever. Their most played vehicle was the Pz.II C and they had an 89% ARP lol The irony of the absolute epitome of a seal clubber going off on me for killing them in a low tier match is quite funny. Apparently the only person allowed to play low tier is them 😂

Most of you forgot that this is NOT a tank destroyer and it was never meant to fight any armoured targets. This is a rocket artillery, simillar to BM-21 "Grad" which role is to cover large area and destroy infantry.
Add a tinny bit more boom boom in the rocket and give it 11mm - 15mm of pen, at the cost of some velocity and a steeper drop since it weighs more, it will pen most turret tops and engine bays and theoretically the workers being asked to add a tinny bit more explosives wouldn't object, at least to red army commands.
At a 1.3BR even 1mm (taking it up to 10mm pen) would be a massive buff to playability. I'd be in favour of that, but taking it past 12mm would be overkill and turn it into a sealclubber due to the number of tanks which have paper armour at that tier.
I bet the fast fire rate is better for removing planes than tanks. perhaps it might work at removing whirbles one shot, just follow a T34 around and try destroying annoying german AA

The silly pos was meant to perform area bombardment against things like infantry and trucks. Hell, I doubt it even had the ability to adjust the aim of the rockets fast enough to engage a moving tank. They really should pull it from the game and refund the GE.
At least some of the Stuarts you killed were actually what I call "Stewies" - M2A4s that look a lot like the Stuart, but aren't. They're the crap ones you showed at the start with only 6mm of roof armour, while the Stuart has double that. As for the "p2w" guy... christ, he was corner-camping the entire match! And he has the fucking gall to complain that he gets killed by something he had every ability to kill first given that his gun was pointed at you the moment you rounded the corner... If he had even the slightest number of braincells, he would've moved 20 meters off to one side and killed you when you peeked. Fire and relocate, how hard is that!
You'd think with a premium tank, you wouldn't find yourself in many situations where you have to back away from an engagement because you can't damage something, but you'd be wrong with this lol
Well the vehicle is meant to be used in groups to launch attacks into groups of targets en masse. It was never meant to be used like a "tank". It's technically artillery.
About the P2W guy, I once ran into a similar player who hadn't played over rank 2 and I want to say he had something like 20k kills to only a few thousand deaths in an M2A4. He had several other 7 or 8/1 ratioed vehicles as well.
WT should create indirect fire capabilities for vehicles like this one. Not only would it solve problems like we see here, but it would also allow them to introduce a whole new line of vehicles like the Hummel, Wespe, M7 Priest, Sexton, M12, etc.

It's not enjoyable in the slightest though, since most of it is either light tanks rushing caps and then just wanking off using half their brain and the space bar, and 70% of ground vehicles can't do shit to defend themselves, or it's you getting revenge bombed because someone got pissed that they got outplayed on the ground. Aircraft also don't do anything to protect/attack points, except for the few seconds there is a bomb in there (Okay some CAS can do sweeps with autocannons, but most don't cuz reasons), meaning aircraft, when spawned before you have a big ground advantage *will* lose you the game. The AA meta is pretty shit. At low tiers, AA is best used against directly incoming or directly outgoing aircraft, since the purpose of AA back then was volume of fire, and you're never going to get that level of teamwork in WT. The other use is against tanks, and since most tanks have far worse gun handling than AA, and a lot of the time armour doesn't matter, the SPAA becomes better at ground battle than ground battle vehicles for some strange reason. Up at top tier, the meta changes a bit. Now, extremely high altitude bombers dominate with choppers. The bombers stay above the radar, and since WT can't get their head around what they want to do with radar, you're more likely to invent a new form of penicillin than get reliable results with a radar. And don't mind the choppers, they just stay out of range of your radar anyways. The way they have designed ground battles does not cope well with aircraft, since the maps are either too small for a proper breakthrough, or the points are put in strategically disadvantageous places meaning they only matter at the end of the game anyways. If WT was more like Heroes and Generals, aircraft would have a perfect place in GB, but with how the game works now they only become frustrating, and often game-losing. It's 2022, give us a proper ground battles gamemode already. There is already an aircraft only gamemode.
Your shock at seeing someone only play the stuart over 1,000 times only. Earlier this year, me and my mates, faced off against a guy (and I sh*t you not) had over ~6,000 games in the I-16. They guy has a 2012-2013 account, and has next to no games above tier 3.
Check out the reserve Sweden reserve vehicles. Strv M 31 and the reserve vehicle Strv M 38. They both have a sabot round with 105 mm of pen.. Its a damn reserve tank lol. Great video my guy
it would be cool if they had some sort of randomly generated map systems like same map but all the building and routes are random, I also see how that could be a terrible idea.
You can actually figure out in which BR you are by checking the spawn points before you spawn. If its 150 that means full down tier, 130 means like 0.3 BR highter than yours, 120 means 0.7 BR highter than yours and 100 means full up tier
I bought this during the Katyusha event way back when and it was unironically the most fun I've ever had to date in war thunder. 10-15 of these things running around every match trying to get kills was hilarious.
I remember getting free test drives this thing in crates for ages, it was always this thing. You’d think the free test drive would be intended as a way to test the vehicle is good enough to be worth actually purchasing… Gaijin would’ve really sold more of these without offering the test drives lol
Playing low tier kills your faith in humanity exactly for “no one can be this bad not to able to drive out of spawn” reasons. And this guy with 1000+ low tier matches, still being bad at it… He is a living proof that humanity is done.
I remember recieving this thing as a test drive one day and absolutely loved it, I was a level 16 at the time and I had so much fun in it. I was even sad when the test drive ended. Now looking back at it I still would buy the damn thing.
That M8 that hit you may not have had you rendered on his screen. There is a bug that happens once in a while on console where you will spawn in and no vehicles aside from your own render in for a few seconds, I have run into many teammates by accident while playing on my ps4 because of it.
Map rotations been a bit wonky lately. The other day i got Karelia twice in a row. Went to eat. Came back and got Karelia again. And today i got Campania 4 times in a row.
Another great video. At one point you talk about maps. The other night I was playing at RB 1.3, just started the British line. Had 5 games on the same map. 3 caps in each battle. Only the side of the map varied. Looking forward to the next video.

Idk man, sometimes I'm put in battles that are clearly on Asian servers (based on player names) and there are many usernames that are just long strings of numbers, those are probably bots. There's no way so many players have just random numbers and letters as their username.

A mechanic I am pretty sure they will add in the future is armor plates getting weaker and weaker the more hits it takes. This would make HE vehicles more viable.. but yeah this thing will always suck.
I bought it for the lulz. It's basically a sacrificial cow to help the team. Everyone nearby on the other team races to kill it thinking it's dangerous. In 10 or so matches I probably have 3 kills (I've been playing WT for 3+ years) but 10+ hits per game. You'll get your hits in, but you won't kill much except for scout cars and AA guns.
I used to be very into World of Tanks before coming to War Thunder. We used to call people that never went above rank 5 stat padders. All they'd care about was good stats. In this game, who knows maybe they only like ww2 Era things and have 0 interest in newer vehicles. But then again he definitely seemed the type to only care about having good stats.

i think what it is with low br is its either new people rage quiting at rb cause its too hard and they get bots to replace them and use their tanks etc or they just populate with bots as less than 2.0 is freshies and the game isnt fun if you get wiped constantly so they make new players have more fun and stick to it more
honestly i think this thing atleast is alot better due to overpressure. i dont wanna imagine how bad it was when it came out. its a damn shame that most rocket vehicles are really bad as i like those things. I wish they added a mode where you use personal carriers to deploy trops to the points and then the points need to be cleared to be of infantry so that personal carries like the Bradley can have more use
The only bad thing about it is the depression, otherwise this thing can kill those pzr2's and 3's you found, pzr 4's, Jagdtigers, and Ferdinand. The problemis that you kept shooting to break top armor, when you really want to be shooting low. If you get the chance try to aim for like the third sprocket, and by aim i mean rock the vehicle so that it momentarily lines up with where you wanna send it and take your shot
Hello, Mr. Bawz I have a video suggestion. While I agree with most players that realistic battles are better than arcade, I recently tried some arcade at BR 1.3 in my T35 heavy tank. The result was an absolute curb stomp for the enemy team. I played six games getting no less than 10 kills per game while using only the T35 with backups. I know it's a little dirty to go seal clubbing, but I had a lot of fun and made about 30k lions per game. I think you should give it a try because it's truly a ridiculously powerful vehicle in arcade battles.
I gotta say, the overpressure system is one of the most stupid game mechanics I've seen in 2 decades. Maybe not the MOST stupid, but it's REALLY up there.
I love yours and Defyn's videos, I wonder could you do some sort of Disection video like he released recently showing how you wallop enemies in GRB, considerations, use of cover things that might not come naturally to some players but maybe helps them improve their skills.
Absolutely 100% gotta be bots. I'll often setup custom battles and just play against bots and their behavior here is very similar; they can spot you through cover/buildings (and WILL act on that info even if it means shooting into the building attempting to shoot through it), though they also have blind spots or a randomization of their spotting ability that may or may not be proximity related, and they have difficulty navigating terrain and you'll often roll up on them stuck in clusters.

You see, Ivan, you can sneak up on their open tops if proper targets are too busy laughing at your pathetic penetration. -Dimitry, 1943. Jokes aside, this vehicle could be easily fixed by splitting bottom and top parts of the rail into two different "guns", increasing reload rate at a cap, giving it RBS-82 and TRS-82 rockets as well as proper combined impact-time fuze. This way you'd get earliest introduction into several shenanigans while pure annoyance of the system use along with it's physical model would keep it from being bane of the low tier.
I think low tier sweden has so many players because it's the least amount of research you have to do to get to higher tiers. Whether that actually works out, dunno, but when people look at the tree and realize they have to relaize 5-6 tanks for most countries and 2-3 for sweden, they go sweden
You know a vehicle is shit when you have it in both a game like Enlisted (With Infantry!) and its crap. But then you put it in a game with only (playable) vehicles? Yeah. That's horrid! :'D
It strikes me that maybe War Thunder could use a class of Logistics Support vehicles; mobile rearming points to reload stuff like this, make it less onerous to use. Of course, such vehicles would be almost entirely useless in a direct fight so you'd need some kind of EXP or Silver bonus for people who run them instead of a combat vehicle. Maybe give 'em more utility like repairing friendly units faster or being able to do some kind of battlefield rez of a recently destroyed vehicle. Yanno, sort of like how Engineers/Medics work in Planetside 2. Only with less firepower.

The silly pos was meant to perform area bombardment against things like infantry and trucks. Hell, I doubt it even had the ability to adjust the aim of the rockets fast enough to engage a moving tank.

At least some of the Stuarts you killed were actually what I call "Stewies" - M2A4s that look a lot like the Stuart, but aren't. They're the crap ones you showed at the start with only 6mm of roof armour, while the Stuart has double that.
As for the "p2w" guy... christ, he was corner-camping the entire match! And he has the fucking gall to complain that he gets killed by something he had every ability to kill first given that his gun was pointed at you the moment you rounded the corner... If he had even the slightest number of braincells, he would've moved 20 meters off to one side and killed you when you peeked. Fire and relocate, how hard is that!

@@foczastafomka5502 Yeah, most reserve-tier tanks have around 10mm of roof armour, but American reserve and 1.3 vehicles only have 6mm of roof armour.
You'd think with a premium tank, you wouldn't find yourself in many situations where you have to back away from an engagement because you can't damage something, but you'd be wrong with this lol
Well the vehicle is meant to be used in groups to launch attacks into groups of targets en masse. It was never meant to be used like a "tank". It's technically artillery.
About the P2W guy, I once ran into a similar player who hadn't played over rank 2 and I want to say he had something like 20k kills to only a few thousand deaths in an M2A4. He had several other 7 or 8/1 ratioed vehicles as well.
WT should create indirect fire capabilities for vehicles like this one. Not only would it solve problems like we see here, but it would also allow them to introduce a whole new line of vehicles like the Hummel, Wespe, M7 Priest, Sexton, M12, etc.

It's not enjoyable in the slightest though, since most of it is either light tanks rushing caps and then just wanking off using half their brain and the space bar, and 70% of ground vehicles can't do shit to defend themselves, or it's you getting revenge bombed because someone got pissed that they got outplayed on the ground.
Aircraft also don't do anything to protect/attack points, except for the few seconds there is a bomb in there (Okay some CAS can do sweeps with autocannons, but most don't cuz reasons), meaning aircraft, when spawned before you have a big ground advantage *will* lose you the game.
The AA meta is pretty shit. At low tiers, AA is best used against directly incoming or directly outgoing aircraft, since the purpose of AA back then was volume of fire, and you're never going to get that level of teamwork in WT. The other use is against tanks, and since most tanks have far worse gun handling than AA, and a lot of the time armour doesn't matter, the SPAA becomes better at ground battle than ground battle vehicles for some strange reason.
Up at top tier, the meta changes a bit. Now, extremely high altitude bombers dominate with choppers. The bombers stay above the radar, and since WT can't get their head around what they want to do with radar, you're more likely to invent a new form of penicillin than get reliable results with a radar. And don't mind the choppers, they just stay out of range of your radar anyways.
The way they have designed ground battles does not cope well with aircraft, since the maps are either too small for a proper breakthrough, or the points are put in strategically disadvantageous places meaning they only matter at the end of the game anyways. If WT was more like Heroes and Generals, aircraft would have a perfect place in GB, but with how the game works now they only become frustrating, and often game-losing.
It's 2022, give us a proper ground battles gamemode already. There is already an aircraft only gamemode.

They guy has a 2012-2013 account, and has next to no games above tier 3.
This vehicle really needs an indirect fire mode.
Check out the reserve Sweden reserve vehicles. Strv M 31 and the reserve vehicle Strv M 38. They both have a sabot round with 105 mm of pen.. Its a damn reserve tank lol. Great video my guy

it would be cool if they had some sort of randomly generated map systems like same map but all the building and routes are random, I also see how that could be a terrible idea.
You can actually figure out in which BR you are by checking the spawn points before you spawn. If its 150 that means full down tier, 130 means like 0.3 BR highter than yours, 120 means 0.7 BR highter than yours and 100 means full up tier

I bought this during the Katyusha event way back when and it was unironically the most fun I've ever had to date in war thunder. 10-15 of these things running around every match trying to get kills was hilarious.

Playing low tier kills your faith in humanity exactly for “no one can be this bad not to able to drive out of spawn” reasons. And this guy with 1000+ low tier matches, still being bad at it… He is a living proof that humanity is done.
I remember recieving this thing as a test drive one day and absolutely loved it, I was a level 16 at the time and I had so much fun in it. I was even sad when the test drive ended. Now looking back at it I still would buy the damn thing.

That M8 that hit you may not have had you rendered on his screen. There is a bug that happens once in a while on console where you will spawn in and no vehicles aside from your own render in for a few seconds, I have run into many teammates by accident while playing on my ps4 because of it.
So strange to see this vehicle being use for something it was never intended.
Map rotations been a bit wonky lately. The other day i got Karelia twice in a row. Went to eat. Came back and got Karelia again. And today i got Campania 4 times in a row.

Idk man, sometimes I'm put in battles that are clearly on Asian servers (based on player names) and there are many usernames that are just long strings of numbers, those are probably bots. There's no way so many players have just random numbers and letters as their username.

A mechanic I am pretty sure they will add in the future is armor plates getting weaker and weaker the more hits it takes. This would make HE vehicles more viable.. but yeah this thing will always suck.
I bought it for the lulz. It's basically a sacrificial cow to help the team. Everyone nearby on the other team races to kill it thinking it's dangerous. In 10 or so matches I probably have 3 kills (I've been playing WT for 3+ years) but 10+ hits per game. You'll get your hits in, but you won't kill much except for scout cars and AA guns.

WT so needs to introduce technicals - pickup trucks with 50 cals mounted in the back. The could give them shoulder launched AT weapons or drones.
I used to be very into World of Tanks before coming to War Thunder. We used to call people that never went above rank 5 stat padders. All they'd care about was good stats. In this game, who knows maybe they only like ww2 Era things and have 0 interest in newer vehicles. But then again he definitely seemed the type to only care about having good stats.

i think what it is with low br is its either new people rage quiting at rb cause its too hard and they get bots to replace them and use their tanks etc or they just populate with bots as less than 2.0 is freshies and the game isnt fun if you get wiped constantly so they make new players have more fun and stick to it more
honestly i think this thing atleast is alot better due to overpressure. i dont wanna imagine how bad it was when it came out.

That's clearly UA-camr bias. When I play reserves I always get enemy teams full of level 100s, meanwhile Odd gets teams full of bots :D

I wish they added a mode where you use personal carriers to deploy trops to the points and then the points need to be cleared to be of infantry so that personal carries like the Bradley can have more use
The only bad thing about it is the depression, otherwise this thing can kill those pzr2's and 3's you found, pzr 4's, Jagdtigers, and Ferdinand. The problemis that you kept shooting to break top armor, when you really want to be shooting low. If you get the chance try to aim for like the third sprocket, and by aim i mean rock the vehicle so that it momentarily lines up with where you wanna send it and take your shot
Hello, Mr. Bawz I have a video suggestion. While I agree with most players that realistic battles are better than arcade, I recently tried some arcade at BR 1.3 in my T35 heavy tank. The result was an absolute curb stomp for the enemy team. I played six games getting no less than 10 kills per game while using only the T35 with backups. I know it's a little dirty to go seal clubbing, but I had a lot of fun and made about 30k lions per game. I think you should give it a try because it's truly a ridiculously powerful vehicle in arcade battles.
I gotta say, the overpressure system is one of the most stupid game mechanics I've seen in 2 decades. Maybe not the MOST stupid, but it's REALLY up there.
I love yours and Defyn's videos, I wonder could you do some sort of Disection video like he released recently showing how you wallop enemies in GRB, considerations, use of cover things that might not come naturally to some players but maybe helps them improve their skills.
Absolutely 100% gotta be bots. I'll often setup custom battles and just play against bots and their behavior here is very similar; they can spot you through cover/buildings (and WILL act on that info even if it means shooting into the building attempting to shoot through it), though they also have blind spots or a randomization of their spotting ability that may or may not be proximity related, and they have difficulty navigating terrain and you'll often roll up on them stuck in clusters.
Oh, and bots NEVER use their MGs.

Jokes aside, this vehicle could be easily fixed by splitting bottom and top parts of the rail into two different "guns", increasing reload rate at a cap, giving it RBS-82 and TRS-82 rockets as well as proper combined impact-time fuze. This way you'd get earliest introduction into several shenanigans while pure annoyance of the system use along with it's physical model would keep it from being bane of the low tier.
I think low tier sweden has so many players because it's the least amount of research you have to do to get to higher tiers.
Whether that actually works out, dunno, but when people look at the tree and realize they have to relaize 5-6 tanks for most countries and 2-3 for sweden, they go sweden

It strikes me that maybe War Thunder could use a class of Logistics Support vehicles; mobile rearming points to reload stuff like this, make it less onerous to use. Of course, such vehicles would be almost entirely useless in a direct fight so you'd need some kind of EXP or Silver bonus for people who run them instead of a combat vehicle. Maybe give 'em more utility like repairing friendly units faster or being able to do some kind of battlefield rez of a recently destroyed vehicle. Yanno, sort of like how Engineers/Medics work in Planetside 2. Only with less firepower.
