CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Susan Vance (Katharine Hepburn) apologizes to Dr. David Huxley (Cary Grant), but ends up bringing down his precious dinosaur.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant star in this inspired comedy about a madcap heiress with a pet leopard who meets an absent-minded paleontologist and unwittingly makes a fiasco of both their lives. David Huxley (Grant) is the stuffy paleontologist who needs to finish an exhibit on dinosaurs and thus land a $1 million grant for his museum. At a golf outing with his potential benefactors, Huxley is spotted by Susan Vance (Hepburn) who decides that she must have the reserved scientist at all costs. She uses her pet leopard, Baby, to trick him into driving to her Connecticut home, where a dog wanders into Huxley's room and steals the vital last bone that he needs to complete his project. The real trouble begins when another leopard escapes from the local zoo and Baby is mistaken for it, leading Huxley and Susan into a series of harebrained and increasingly more insane schemes to save the cat from the authorities. Inevitably, the two end up in the local jail, where things get even more out of hand: Susan pretends to be the gun moll to David's diabolical, supposedly wanted criminal. Naturally, the mismatched pair falls in love through all the lunacy. Director Howard Hawks delivers a funny, fast-paced, and offbeat story, enlivened by animated performances from the two leads, in what has become a definitive screwball comedy.

I love how he’s more concerned about her safety than the dinosaur. He grabs onto her and, instead of saying immediately, “you’ve destroyed it!” or mentioning it at all, he doesn’t even notice at first that it’s totally collapsed and just says “hold on” and focuses on pulling her up. On the other hand, she totally forgets she’s in danger when she sees it’s fallen and SHE is the one who says “look what happened,” mortified at what she did to something that meant a lot to him. That’s how you know without a doubt that they truly love each other.

i love the his thought of "Now you've done it" then having her keep talking and hug him makes him just give up and be like" yeah i'm probably going to lose my job, but my lifes gunna be interesting, loves you too"
What a couple of superb athletes! Grant, the ex-circus acrobat, hauls her up with one arm, and Hepburn looks like she could have hauled herself up with one arm. Whew!

Peter Bogdanovich's film _What's Up, Doc?_ (1972), starring Barbra Streisand and Ryan O'Neal, was intended as an homage to the film, and has contributed to its reputation. In the commentary track for _Bringing Up Baby_ , Bogdanovich discusses how the coat-ripping scene in _What's Up, Doc?_ was based on the scene in which Grant's coat and Hepburn's dress are torn in _Bringing Up Baby_ .

At least one published report says Harold Lloyd was a consultant on this film and given the ripped clothes joke and some of the physical humor It's possible. Then there's CG's black frame glasses at the film's beginning, a possible nod to HL.

No, this was all Grant and Hepburn!
@@LifeInAConcreteBox I think there is stunt involved. But the edition makes it look very real. And obviosuly Hepburn and Grant did a very nice job at the last part of the falling dinosaur sequence when he grabs her by the hand while she is falling.
