I'm starting to think they purposefully leave out some guys just to keep us all hooked in to see if they're going to remember them or not. Pretty shrewd
Jolly & Ryan fumbling Cal Raleigh & Pudge at catcher is just insane to me. Even crazier is taking Cal's unfinished 2024 season would be the fourth highest RBI total since 2000
Shout out Jake showing eric chavez some love by putting him on the list! My all time favorite player! Was hoping someone would've put him on their list
Yo Jolly what the heck is going on with that A's knowledge? 2003 moneyball? A's last playoff in 2018? They went in 2019 and 2020 too man! Dont do this to me!!!
Yordan Alvarez career OPS is roughly 17th all time, around the same as Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle and Stan Musial. I know he gets injured but like come onnnnnnnn, we gotta give him a go.
Yeah going with as many Rangers due to their old ballpark would've been the smart play. So many good ones left on the board. (Texeira, Soriano, Young, Blalock, Palmeiro)
Me waiting for ARod to come off the board: Eighth pick, "This guy had a 1 or 2 really good years for a team he signed a big contract with..." Me: Ryan's getting a steal here "...Robinson Cano"
My Lineup C 2005 Jason Kendall - 55 1B 2001 Rafel Palmeiro - 123 2B 2023 Marcus Semien - 100 3B 2021 Kyle Seager - 101 SS 2006 Michael Young -103* OF 2021 Yordan Alvarez - 104 OF 2006 Raul Ibanez - 123 OF 2001 Mike Cameron - 110 DH 2005 Richie Sexson - 121 TOTAL 940 1st Place *2011 Michael Young had 106 but wanted SS eligibility
#JMBaseball your best possible lineup wouldn't be allowed based on the rules you have added to the game. that requires one player from every team. Yall forgot a Astro player
*SPOILERS AHEAD* The lineup I came up with before watching the video C: Ivan Rodriguez, 2000 - 83 RBI 1B: Jason Giambi, 2001 - 120 RBI 2B: Jose Altuve, 2019 - 74 RBI 3B: Troy Glaus, 2001 - 108 RBI SS: Alex Rodriguez, 2001 - 135 RBI OF: Yordan Alvarez, 2022 - 97 RBI OF: Tim Salmon, 2000 - 97 RBI OF: George Springer, 2017 - 85 RBI DH: Edgar Martinez, 2001 - 116 RBI 915 Total RBI. This was a tough loss, knowing that I left a bunch of RBI on the table by getting the years wrong.
Idea: Assemble a lineup with the LEAST number of RBIs. Might get a little mean spirited highlighting bad years. Injured years count, trade years cutting their rbis down count, being part time in the minors counts. They just have to be an active player to some degree that year.
Love this series!! Just an idea... if you want to go "old school" (before 2000) maybe you could choose a year and when you hear the number, you can choose another year or stick with your first choice... Keep up the good work fellas!
2000 is the earliest year you can pick. That's how it works with pretty much all of their draft videos, with a few notable exceptions like the All-Time Stolen Bases Draft or the All-Time WAR Draft.
Alternate video title: Me screaming Edgar Martinez at my screen for 18 minutes
The entire time
I'm starting to think they purposefully leave out some guys just to keep us all hooked in to see if they're going to remember them or not. Pretty shrewd
I was so angered by this I got out a pen and paper and started to write them a very angry-worded letter. I'll be mailing it tomorrow.
These guys are why it took him so long to get into the hall of fame.
😅😅😅😅
2023 Jonah Heim with 95 RBIs is absolutely hilarious, a true Polar Bear in Arlington moment
His stats with RISP last season are absurd
The whole 2023 Rangers offense was magic
everyone talking about lucas's facial expressions makes me need a lucas cam in the corner of these
Please
I would love this.
Jolly & Ryan fumbling Cal Raleigh & Pudge at catcher is just insane to me. Even crazier is taking Cal's unfinished 2024 season would be the fourth highest RBI total since 2000
Teix, Edgar, and Garret Anderson going undrafted is nuts.
If I was doing it GA would have been drafted by me
00' DH Edgar Martinez (145), 05' 1B Richie Sexson (121), 06' LF Raul Ibanez (123) Cuz I am a Mariner faithful!
For what it’s worth you could toss in ‘01 Mike Cameron (110)
A batting average draft would be fun
nice spin on the hits draft.
2004 Ichiro was my first guess for the AL west
would be sick!!!
Would be an awesome twist as you would probably benefit from fewer games! They would have to change the rules a little to accommodate imo.
Would have to have an at bat minimum for that or in the NL draft one could say 2021 Tommy Hunter who went 1-1
Getting the moneyball years wrong AGAIN to waste giambi years should’ve been an auto DQ. Crazy stuff from Jolly there
A Rod at short gotta be a first pick
Griffey,Jr entered the chat
@@dgrblue4162Not in the 2000s.
Boone at 2nd in 2001 should be up there.
@@dgrblue4162He didn't play in the AL West in the 2000s until he was 39 years old.
Ryan Seemed to forget Cruz was a Mariner too.
Edgar Martinez and his 145 RBIs in 2000 could have been the difference for Jake.
Problem is the default year guess would have been 2001
This is by far my favorite draft video cast!
Surprised no one snagged 2023 Marcus Semien for 2B
The fact that the best at every position besides catcher was before 2010 is insane.
I love how it’s actually two contests at once. There’s the RBI’s contest, and always an undercurrent of who can name drop a silly name.
Ohtani was on the angels where no one gets on base. Of course his career high rbi was only 100
Love the series!!! and also like the best possible lineups at the end. GG's
Also some fun names: both Kyle Seager and Mitch Haniger hit 100 RBIs in 2021
im not thinking when i watch so i never remember any players. So great job guys. Im being serious. I bet y'all dont get this often, praise
No Tex or Garrett Anderson is insane lol
Rafael Palmeiro or Juan Gonzalez would've been good picks.
garret anderson disrespect is out of control here
Glad Jake remembers early 2000s studs like pudge and Tejada
biggest misses were Edgar Martinez 2001 with 145 and Mark Teixeira 2005 with 144
Best part of Mondays are JM Drafts Baby!
Seeing jonah heim on here is so cool considering how far he regressed this year after the wrist injury late last year
Shout out Jake showing eric chavez some love by putting him on the list! My all time favorite player! Was hoping someone would've put him on their list
JOLLY!!!!!!!
Doing this myself, my 1.01 without hesitation was Bret Boone 2001. Surprised he wasn't the first 2B off the board.
Something fun to see would be what total each person would have had if they had the best year from each person they drafted
The “best possible lineup” at the end of the video doesn’t have an Astro on it. Therefore not making it the best possible according to the rules.
ACTUAL best possible lineup would have 2019 Bregman at 3rd (112 RBI) and 2000 Giambi at 1st (137 RBI) for a total of 1151 RBI.
15:14
Niiiiiiiccccccce! Bravo! Should have picked 2001 though! 😊
It would be fun to have a team of 3 vs lucas in one of these
Everyone forgets The Big Hurt had one amazing season in Oakland... Which one, who knows, but there is one.
Finally with the Brett Boone. Bout damn time you recognize lol
Jolly not saying Richie Sexaon is weird. Thats his dude.
The amount of times they mess up the moneyball year is crazy
Me simple man, me see Jake, me click
Yo Jolly what the heck is going on with that A's knowledge? 2003 moneyball? A's last playoff in 2018? They went in 2019 and 2020 too man! Dont do this to me!!!
I’m very surprised it took someone that long to grab Albert Pujols.
Jolly with almost a flawless performance
2017 Altuve was a blunder. Marwin Gonzalez led the team in RBIs that season with like 90 and you could put him at any position (including 2B).
I mean, taking altuve over Boone was really the blunder
@@kylen6430 well yeah definitely. I was thinking just in general if any 2017 Astro gets taken it’s gotta be Marwin
Yordan Alvarez career OPS is roughly 17th all time, around the same as Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle and Stan Musial. I know he gets injured but like come onnnnnnnn, we gotta give him a go.
Could have lived with the 2001-2008 Rangers by throwing darts at years and sprinkled in some other teams players and easily won.
Fax I was really hoping for a big Tex or Soriano shot
Yeah going with as many Rangers due to their old ballpark would've been the smart play. So many good ones left on the board. (Texeira, Soriano, Young, Blalock, Palmeiro)
Me waiting for ARod to come off the board:
Eighth pick, "This guy had a 1 or 2 really good years for a team he signed a big contract with..."
Me: Ryan's getting a steal here
"...Robinson Cano"
these three the best lineup
Mark Teixeira had a bajillion seasons in a row of 30 & 100 and got overlooked. I'm sick
16:12
Fuck yeah! That guy was a fucking stud!
Should add up the RBIs from all the drafts to crown a total winner
Draft an all time lineup with players with the most strikeouts
I got 938! This is the first time I've ever even been competitive, haha!
I'm not sure if anyone else realized that they missed a division. They missed the NL East!!
C: 2011 Mike Napoli: 75 1B: 2006 Frank Thomas: 114 2B: 2001 Brett Boone: 141 SS: 2002 Miguel Tejada: 131 3B: 2019 Alex Bregman: 112 OF: 2004 Vlad Sr: 126 OF: 2010 Josh Hamilton: 100 OF: 2017 George Springer: 85 DH: 2014 Kyle Seager: 96 Total: 980
Thomas was DH'ing in 2006.
Rafael Palmeiro had two 120+ and four 100+ seasons left on the table
LETS GO JOLLY RAAAAAHHHHHH
Y'all should do all-time homer draft against a team i.e. drafting players that crushed one particular team. e.x. Jimmie Foxx against the Yankees.
3:00 booooo! How could you forget about ‘01 Boone!!
astros fan waiting for someone to say 2015 evan gattis (catcher)
Haven’t watched yet, but as an As fan, I gotta imagine Tejada at SS and Chavez at 3rd have to be picked.
Jake really should have walked out of the room when he picked Altuve over a Boone.
14:57 Ryan forgetting Pudge played for Texas is embarrassing. A-Rod is a little more understandable. Dude has to learn about Texas baseball lol.
Haven’t watched yet, but as an As fan, I gotta imagine Tejada at SS and Chavez at 3rd have to be picked.
Early 2000s Tim Salmon too
I was thinking Eric chavez as well. Favorite player of all time. Had 114 in 01. A lot of people forget about eric Chavez
Do Gold gloves next!
Jolly took the first shortstop and it wasn’t A-Rod… yikes. Also love the Olerud pull from Jake
Aww man, the glglgast division for the RBI draft! 😂

#JMBaseball your best possible lineup wouldn't be allowed based on the rules you have added to the game. that requires one player from every team. Yall forgot a Astro player
ACTUAL best possible lineup would have 2019 Bregman at 3rd (112 RBI) and 2000 Giambi at 1st (137 RBI) for a total of 1151 RBI.
It's Ivan Rodriguez boys, NOT pudge. That was is and always will be Carlton Fisk
No big dumper?
You should do strike outs but make it like golf it’s whoever has the lowest career strikeouts for hitters
Jolly where did you get that shirt?
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The lineup I came up with before watching the video
C: Ivan Rodriguez, 2000 - 83 RBI
1B: Jason Giambi, 2001 - 120 RBI
2B: Jose Altuve, 2019 - 74 RBI
3B: Troy Glaus, 2001 - 108 RBI
SS: Alex Rodriguez, 2001 - 135 RBI
OF: Yordan Alvarez, 2022 - 97 RBI
OF: Tim Salmon, 2000 - 97 RBI
OF: George Springer, 2017 - 85 RBI
DH: Edgar Martinez, 2001 - 116 RBI
915 Total RBI. This was a tough loss, knowing that I left a bunch of RBI on the table by getting the years wrong.
How do you get the money ball year wrong every time?
Here's food for thought. As putrid as their offense is, Cal Raleigh is on pace to hit 100 RBIs as the Mariner's catcher.
Didn’t Jake meet Guerrero Sr in Pittsburgh Airport
Ohtani sat on the board for a long ass time
Bret Boone 2001, go M's!
Y'ever danced with 2000 Edgar Martinez in the pale moonlight?
I thought Jolly was taking Teixeira when he took Giambi
No Juan Gone or Ruben Sierra?
This is only since the year 2000
How did A-Rod at SS last until when he did and was NOT the first or second SS taken??
Shohei should've won MVP in 2022
im surprised they didn't pick up raleigh for their catcher
Before i watch: im pretty sure this follows the right timeline of the jahmai jones vid jimmy posted
Edit: 3:30 THERE IT IS
The Tejada miss cost Jake this one
The answer when saying the name Altuve is ALWAYS 2016
‘98 Juan Gonzalez
Idea: Assemble a lineup with the LEAST number of RBIs. Might get a little mean spirited highlighting bad years. Injured years count, trade years cutting their rbis down count, being part time in the minors counts. They just have to be an active player to some degree that year.
Could one take 2024 Big Dumper if they so chose? He’s already up to 78 with over a month to play…
The disrespect for the mariners was unreal. Edgar. Jr. Ichrio.
Ichiro would not be a good pick for an RBI draft.
Do a gold glove draft
Love this series!! Just an idea... if you want to go "old school" (before 2000) maybe you could choose a year and when you hear the number, you can choose another year or stick with your first choice...
Keep up the good work fellas!
WE NEED THE HITTER STRIKEOUT DRAFT. CHRIS CARTER 1:1 PICK
i had 1026 before i saw the video
Juan gonzalez, edgar and ken griffey!?
Raul Ibanez
its always a good video when big baby lib isn’t in it
15 minutes in and no one has chosen Griffey Jr or Juan Gonzalez???? Unless I missed it and it’s only after 2000.
2000 is the earliest year you can pick. That's how it works with pretty much all of their draft videos, with a few notable exceptions like the All-Time Stolen Bases Draft or the All-Time WAR Draft.
the disrespect towards the mariners here is out of hand. the teams haven't been great, but they've had a ton of great hitters over the years
how did no one take ken griffey jr
