The fact is until he signs, nobody knows. He would be a fool not to sign with the Dodgers, the team that can meet every one of his wishes. But that is only am opinion at the moment. The Padres are in chaos and cannot guarantee him any of what he wants except to play with Yu Darvish which is a very short term deal at best. San Diego has done nothing this year to improve their team and their ownership is in disarray. But if that is where he signs he can kiss goodbye any idea of him being the best ever because it won't happen San Diego, a team that has never won a World Series Championship, EVER !!!

You all are delusional if you bet isn’t on the Dodgers. They are the next dynasty and the team, the field/stadium, the weather, the other Japanese players, the 6 man rotation, the money, all can’t be beat.. He is a Dodger.
Hope he joins the Boston red Sox
There is NO QUESTION! 1 Billion differed!!! MLB's need to expand baseball to asia for revenue. We are watching a design play for a Dodgers dynasty. Long term contract to anyone at this point are not happening. Owners will not spend. I want to be wrong but after reading the tea leaves I doubt it.
Does roesenthenal and joe Davis have it in their contract to blow the dodgers every chance they get to full fill their contracts
This fool has every intention of signing with the Dodgers. Its not a coincidence that Ohtanti used other team to jack up his price, than he helped Yamamoto do the same. Now its the same old song with Sasaki. Its called tampering and its illegal.
It’s great that Toronto is a finalist but will also really suck if he doesn’t go there. This one is even further out of torontos control of signing him compared to other players. Either way. He will be added to the list of the big free agents Toronto missed out on.
I think Roki is a bit over his head. He's not Shohei.
DARVISH 38 YEARS OLD BRADDA HE ANCIENT
And yet he’s still putting on a clinic
@christophercamacho3383 that's not the point is it. The point is why go hang out with a 38 year old when you can hang out with the goat lol
Why be in the shadows of Ohtani and Yamamoto.
Jays have a great community for the Asian community.
Weather in Toronto is actually nice. 4 seasons. No earthquakes
Yu darvish does not like doger. He said he would cry if sasaki goes there
Of course he goes Dodgers, cmon.
I’d like to see Toronto get him just to witness all of the Toronto critics’ heads exploding with confusion…. Hey,.. maybe he’ll just walk the streets each city to catch a vibe…and then decide…
I could even see Cardinals trading Erick Fedde, he's dirt cheap and they could get some good prospects.
MLB better hope that he signs with the Padres or Blue Jays. It's the only way to save this off season. This off season started out with a bang with Juan Soto going to the Mets. It's been super BORING ever since.
Dodgers all the way
i'm tired of the dodgers getting everybody i rather see him in SD/TOR help those teams the dodgers don't need anymore help. it's disappointing Sasaki burned the Yankees and i don't get why besides location the Yankees yearly are winners. great opportunity to win a title and compete plus you're winning but i get it other factors Sasaki are looking at.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think Sasaki is going to the Jays.
Nomo is the godfather.
How is Yu Darvish the "Godfather"? Hideo Nomo, even Daisuke Matsuzaka came before Darvish right?
It's his relationship with other Japanese pitchers. Shohei Ohtani, Kohdai Senga, Masahiro Tanaka, Yusei Kikuchi...all highly respect Darvish. Matsuzaka was impressive during highschool. He just got really fat in Boston and became irrelevant. Nomo is from a different generation of players.
Ken- he might go to the dodgers, but I’m not sure. He might go to the padres, who knows. But what we do know is that he will go to one of the three final teams, that is a guarantee. 😂😂😂 😅😅
Roberto Osuna was a teammate of his in Japan as well. He was here when baseball was lively. Potential Osuna talked up Toronto in his ear
I don't imagine Osuna was left with a great impression of Toronto either right or wrong...
The same Roberto Osuna who was busted for domestic violence?
Japanese players have been moving to MLB at least as far back as Hideo Nomo, so how is Yu Darvish "the godfather of all Japanese players"?
Nick’s prediction is he’s not going to the Yankees.
Watch hi, sign with none of these teams. Nobody even knows.
If he decides to go to SD Dodgers will get to light him up for the next 6 years just like the rest of the Padre staff. Would be a really stupid decision for him to go there.
if Sasaki goes to the Dodgers, I might be done with MLB baseball forever. It's practically dead anyways.
This 1000000%. It's not even competitive anymore. There needs to be a floor and ceiling. And stop this deferring bullshit.
Whaahh!!! You sound like a little crying ...stop it!!
He would probably make the most in endorsements with Toronto…..
Over LA?
@@johndavies5582 yes over LA, because he will be shadowed by Ohtani, Yamamoto, and the other stars on LA. While Toronto has a super super high Japanese population and a whole country
@FocalplayzTV yep and a powerhouse telecommunications coming behind him….
Now I understand why many GMs are not wasting their time with Japanese players anymore because it's the same stupid dance they do, they don't wanna tap dance and roll out the red carpet for Japanese players to always end up going to Japan Dodgers. So when the Dodgers don't want them because they can't afford them or the dodgers are rebuilding I hope all the GMs remember how they all got played.
didn't kim sign with the dodgers why is he on this list?
Watch, if Sasaki signs with the Padres cue Dodger fans shitting on him and saying they never really wanted him anyway and hes a bum compared to ohtani... Just a prediction.
That goes both ways. If he picks the Dodgers, padre fans would say the same thing.
Watch that he signs with Toronto and both other fans bases say that they never wanted him
@@garrettokelly5357 watch that he does something even crazier and signs with Oakland... er, Sacramento
@@Jose-gl1ix No they won't. You don't know what you're talking about
@garrettokelly5357 Dream on.
He’s going to the blue jays
Deductive reasonings leads to Dodgers.
BTW, Asian players like math lol.
And numbers don’t lie. Dodgers have numbers with a $ sign.
Giants will go Dinger Crazy on Roki.
Light him up.
Blue Jays, wish Cardinals would sign him but that would never happen in a million years!
Hopefully Sasaki realizes that children play at San Diego
Your mom is here in San Diego playing with us
ntvega3747 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaha have the madres fix their issues first. Roki and your mom will be at Dodgers stadium
Gee theres three teams left way to go out on a LIMB BOYS. LOLOL
I wonder if the fires would have any effect on Sasaki's decision making. He would want to completely focus on baseball and not have to worry about his house burning down.
All the media dose is brag up LA or New York. Bash all other clubs. Why would any star want to play anywhere but these places. Then bash the teams and say they don't spend money.
LA is on fire(and I don’t say that to gloat, or rub it in). God bless all those with family list and hopefully the city recovers better than ever. But it certainly would make a free agent pause and consider. Do I want to live in this city half of my life going forward?
Padres ownership in shambles. I legitimately wonder how much of a factor those things are in his mind. It might not be just that the Jays made a good pitch. But, that he had first decided upon SoCal and possibly through circumstances been more or less forced to reconsider?
SD has wildfires too. Maybe more than LA.
Less than 1% of L.A. was affected. That's how big L.A. is.
@@edwardw92Yet we're always out here clearing out dry brush and preparing for fire season ...
Los Angeles county is huge. Y’all act like the fire affected everyone. Just northern LA.
I live in La and the fire is like 1 hour drive from my place. Almost same drive as me going to SD.
Why would we listen to him? He seemingly hates the Padres
Orioles ar a sleeper team in on Sasaki.
Damn… Kershaw isn’t a top free agent haha
He is going to the Padres F the Dodgers. Rosenthal knows how shady the Dodgers are. He is just biased against the Padres.
Shady?
@ That’s right. Shady.
@jennifertimlin1371 how?
welcome to toronto
Dodgers is Roki’s destiny
Roki and Yu are besties. Poverty has n Philly was always the guy with a million dollar arm and 5$ brain
I'm a Dodger fan and I think he goes to the Padres.
I’m a Dodger fan and I think he signs here. All the infighting with San Diego would be a red flag for me
@@nowtheworld138 So how many pitcher injuries did the Dodgers have last year? You think Roki wants his arm destroyed?
@@hopespringseternal2624 you mean how Yu always goes on the IL at some point during the season or even better JOE MUSGROVE! With say it with me TOMMY JOHN SURGERY!!!!!! Yes why choose the consensus best ran team and organization in the sport by a mile the reigning defending World Series Champions and I don’t know the team that has the best chance of winning it all again in 2025. And all the infighting within the team looks foolish. Bad take dude. Bad take
@hopespringseternal2624 which team solved that problem? None. He wants to join a 6 pitcher rotation so he doesn't wear out his arm. Padres can't do that. Dodgers already said they are doing it.
@@laartwork I’ve never understood the San Diego is a better option than the Dodgers and I’m not being a homer I’m being honest. If he prefers San Diego more power to him but if you’re using a check list Dodgers check every box outside of Yu Darvish
These predictions are nothing but their opinions.
