Awesome Jason! I'm getting this done now too and pulled up your video just to get more excited while I wait. Mission accomplished. I love all the hand-drawn stuff- very inspiring.
I've been thinking of making a vinyl with my music just for myself just bc it'd be cool to have. And this is such a cool way of going about it! It was very interesting seeing your process!
Yes! I’ve always wanted to try it too. I guess I just needed a little push so I’m thankful my friend wanted one so much. Happy you enjoyed the process!
It was reality one of my favorite projects ever. I was so happy to do it all by hand and make it a little more special. I would totally do more if it didn’t cost so much! 😂
This is awesome! Seeing you put all that together makes me want to get off my butt and make some music again and so I can make some more tapes. (And maybe a video too)
@@jasonelambeth I'm glad to have inspired you! I hope I can get back to some videos soon, I've just been much busier balancing my time after taking over a music theory class and aural skills class at a local community college. I started a new video a while back, but it's taking longer to get the footage. hopefully soon I'll actually get that video put together for you. :)
@@drewmorrismusic No pressure! I totally get it. Every September I have a batch of new kiddos to care for and it completely drains me. It took me until November to have extra energy after work to make stuff.
That's rad Jason! So, are you going to be selling any of the 5 copies? Also wondering if someone like Red Spade would do something like 50 - 100 pressings of an album. I've heard most places that press records won't do less than 500 or 1,000 and that's a lot of money up front.
I’m going to put a couple up for Bandcamp Friday. And yeah, I think I’ve seen places that will do 200. But, since we don’t tour or even play shows, it doesn’t make sense. This was cool just to try it out. Would love to do maybe a run of 20 7” or something in the future.
@@jasonelambeth That would be really cool. So it seems that it's a fairly easy process? I've always heard you have to have your music "specially mastered" for vinyl so that it doesn't make the stylus jump out of the grooves or something. Hope that record sounds awesome. I remember that livestream really well. It seemed like the 424 community was a little bit more active back then too. But hey, here's to a great 2023!
Thank YOU, Jason!
@@redspaderecords8407 this was such a fun project!
Haven’t finished watching yet. And already got my wallet out.
Lol. Thanks to your podcast for introducing me to Robyn!
Living the dream! That is so cool! Jealous right now. Lol!
Lol. Mike, you gotta try it someday! Such a fun project.

Just amazing man
Thanks man!!
Wicked cool Jason! Great vid documenting the process too!
Thanks Joe!!

How epic! (If I were a musician, I would definitely have this on my bucket list, ha ha.)

@@theelectricsplash7384 working Red Spade couldn’t have been easier.
I definitely miss the good ‘ol days of 2019 on the 424 channel! 😭
