I have had good results using folding tray stands to get wedges off (narrow) stages. Puts them out front at a good height to the stage and can easily be mover left or right as needed.
@@inthemixls Nothing specific. Metal folding tray stands sold at restaurant supply stores. About $25 each. They handle all the weight, are light and small in the trailer too.
Thanks for sharing these videos - as somone just getting into providing Sound/Lighting for events, you have been so helpful and encouraging to just go out and do it. A couple of questions: How are you setting up front lighting? Can you do a video on gain staging on this XM32 + DL32 setup? Example - gain to -18dbfs, except this, except that, this is a tip that has helped me, etc. Thanks!!
For this festival, and for most small events, I'll usually just program an amber or white wash in the front lighting fixture itself. Occasionally I'll run DMX, but usually the front lights are on all the time. I have another video coming out next week where I'll show some of the front lighting setup. For gain staging, I always try to stay around -18dbfs (essentially the green light just turning to yellow) for all channels. Of course, I may have to regain throughout a show due different circumstances. If I'm running monitors and FoH from the same board, the Mixing Station app has an awesome regain feature that as you change the gain, it can automatically change your sends (to monitors, gate, compression) at the same time. So for example, if I need to lower the gain on a channel, it will actually raise the send to say a monitor. To the artist, it won't change their monitor levels at all. Thank you for watching!
Great mix and intelligibility. What were your thoughts in going with IG3’s over the x40’s ? Have you done a comparison one on one between IG3T and x40? Great video!
For my larger events, I go with Doubled up IG3T's flown per side. I do not have flyware for the X40's other than a pole mount. I haven't tested it, but anecdotally I feel 2 IGs arrayed have more SPL than a single X40. Thank you for watching!

I run sound at a church and we use the Behringer X32 full-size board for our main soundboard.
