Forest Road 44A, El Rito, New Mexico

This is a group of dispersed sites in the Carson National Forest that I found after plans of camping and filming the El Rito Campground changed due to a road closure. Turned out to be some nice sites. The area is popular with climbers (El Rito Sport Climbing Area) and hikers and the stay limit is 14 days. No trash pickup or toilets, so pack everything out.

Been up there, not many people camp up there. Isn't there a park close to El Rito with a bunch of art statues?? Enjoy the video, love New Mexico

I’m not sure about the sculptures- the only thing I can think of is that Mars Polar lander as you drive thru town 🤷🏻
