I have these in direct sun.I live in south, mostly warm to hot weather.Does not like much water.Blooms from early spring to winter.January I prune then two feet from the grown.Beautiful.Easy to maintain.
Great video! I am from the San Luis Obispo area and now reside in the South in Mississippi on the Gulf Coast. These do well on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. They do die back when we freeze but grow right back during spring and summer. Takes our Monsoon Summer rains well also.
I have one in my garden in Vista, California. It flowers multiple times a year here because we have a mild winter I cut it back vigorously every six months to keep it in a nice bushy shape.
Great job on your gardening techniques and information, thank you! We just bought two large plants and wondered if they'd do well with our Texas weather. We'll be keeping them in large pots and now know they'll do wonderfully! Absolutely beautiful flowers indeed!
Thank you for this: I live in a rented place in the Var (France) and there is one in the garden, I love the flowers, so pretty. But it doesn't look very well at the moment and I don't know why. I've cut off a lot of dead wood, hoping that will help, it'd be a shame if it died.
u talk about plants like hank hill talks about propane, i consider that a big compliment

Is this same thing as Chinese Plumbago?
Are these flowers edible and sweet?
Ceratostigma willmottianum is Chinese Plumbago,Plumbago auriculata is Cape plumbago.

I read in a garden care article these plants are highly toxic to touch.
They share the same name, but not the genus.
