Are the hardwiring kits road angel provide universal or do you need different kits for different models?
It varies based on the model, that is because certain models have different usb connections so you have to get the one that matches your dashcam.
The actual wiring side that goes into the car will be the same.

The ultra would require the usb-c hard wire kit.

Just done a quick search on that, looks like a good alternative especially given it has a rear camera and expandable storage.
It is of course a bit more expensive, but then again much cheaper than the Audi dash cam.
I think you'll like the halo pro, although 2k it does pack in a lot functionality for the same price. (Same price as the ultra) but has front and rear. It also is one of the better looking range.

I've not heard of that personally myself, and did not experience it. However I did not have hardwired. I used the 12v socket which naturally powers down.

Hey bud, only one app would be able to connect at a time over WiFi.
But nothing stopping you connecting from both phones. You'll just have to turn off the WiFi and reconnect with your other phone.
That is a really good deal, not sure I'll get to hardwire it to show the parking mode.

hi,i just bought the halo ultra,did hard wire, the only issue I'm facing is the Blue led stays on in parking mode,is that normal?

So there’s no electrostatic screen for the windscreen, you have to stick it straight on ? Little things like this shouldn’t be missed.
I definitely saw it for a few of the dashcams, but never used them.
Can't remember off the top of my head which one had it though as it's been a while.
Hi bro. Yeah the best view yet as I can tell. So far I’m torn. Really want front and back cams and defo more storage than 64gb so altho the best pic I think I can rule this one out. One to go can’t wait. Maybe you could review the audio front back one if you manage to get a cradle for it ( still waiting on mines ). I’d love to tell Audi to stuff them and be refunded my £640.

Hey bro, totally agree would have been lovely to have front and back. But even then it's a pretty good overall package. The app works really well and the camera is sleek.
All of them have parking mode if hard wired. Not sure yet if I'll get a chance to show that as I'll have to wire it into my Mrs car which she's not too keen on hahaha 🤦🏽♂️
@@CRD90 I know it's an old post but even today there isn't a rear camera as part of the same range...I wanted the 4k detail so I've bought the same camera for the rear as well.
I have noticed car battery drain with 2 running hardwired though, even to the point my car wouldn't start after not using the car for a few days. This must be the result of running two at the same time as my wife's single camera is not draining her car battery...so my plan is to adjust the parking mode shut down from 24 hours to something smaller on the front and turn parking mode off completely on the rear to see how that goes car battery wise.
Can we connect camera in back with 4k dash cam ??
Unfortunately not this was the trade off for me. I would recommend looking at the halo Pro it is 2k, but more than clear enough

Anyone had issues with hardwired installation and parking mode? Halfords have struggled to get parking mode live on my bmw. Is it the dashcam or a bmw safety feature?
Good video but am not impressed really as no way to attach rear view camera nor to increase the memory and the WiFi is terrible as if I want to view live data whilest in my house it does not work but if am in my car it's OK.. Personally I'd not buy this but it was given as a gift so am unable to return for a refund.
