Thanks for having me on. It's an honor for sure!
having a change to work along side Traversy Media is always an honor.
We're trying to reach there as well. Staying strong💪
My pleasure, thanks for taking the time to create content for the channel :) great stuff
Sweet I get Gary in two places today
Don't mind me.
Am just here to check on these legends thread..
😏
thanks for having me here in your conversation to watch and more ... ! great content and well ... , !
2:02 "It is horribly ugly"
Me: *Sweating because I made something very similar yesterday and was proud of the UI*
Guess this tutorial REALLY is needed for people like me
Don't be to harsh to yourself. It is not only about how it looks but also about your personal growth. You made something that last week you probably wasn't able to. Also with the things you are learning today, you will know and see the potential for in the future.
There will alway's be someone who is better, makes something nicer, is quicker, or whatever. Be inspired and get motivated.
:D
@@jhvhest wow you are very kind...you are real though..not like Alen degeneress 😀😀😀😀😀...thanks man❤️❤️❤️
Best crossover in web dev history no cap !
Exactly, hahahahha Who's next? The Web Dev Simplified?
Exactly! What a time to be alive!

I want to take some time to just appreciate the incredible work Brad does and his immense dedication to giving us useful/education content. I've seen many UA-camrs take a break without even mentioning leaving, they just disappear. Yet Brad took the time to be open and honest(like always) about his current situation and how he needs a break. On top of this, he continues to provide quality content by hosting other amazing UA-camrs.
Without Brad, I wouldn't have the knowledge or love for coding as I do now. Without Brad, I would not have found other great UA-camrs like DesignCourse.
Take all the time you need to feel better Brad. I look forward to your return and feel better.
Thanks buddy, I really appreciate that 😊
As eminem said in space bound :
“It's not a contest and I ain't on no conquest for no mate
I wasn't looking when I stumbled onto you, must've been fate”
And we always love you BRAD.
Take rest.
This is super awesone, Traversy you're inspiring us a lot in making project based videos as well. Thank you for the hard work.
yes Traversy Media is super awesome
Already hyped to watch the video. You and Gary are one of my inspirations so I couldn't be happier!
Good
This is actually really important topic in a well put together video. Us, coders generally lack in design and marketing skills. So if you make a marketing version of that, it would be amazing as well !
If you're talking about marketing ourselves as freelancers, I'd check out RealToughCandy. Some really useful tips
Almost an hour got done without me noticing. Thank you Traversy. Please make more of such videos.
This is pretty good! I always wanted to see UI/UX channel! Thanks guys!
This is awesome! A whole new way of collaboration and delivery of optimal value to the audience. My favourites now on same channel😃
Gary's coursetro was one of initial tutorials I watched for angular when I just started, when I was in my job's first day...I joined as a Java dev at my first job after University, didn't knew a thing about angular, but my position required to learn frontend as well...so Gary's videos did help me in my baby steps ...so happy for this cross over ...would love to have one with academind's Maxmilian and Mosh hamedani...I love their way of teaching ♥️
OMG!! The best collab, always praying to see these guys. Thanks!!
God damn! I was aware Brad had taken a break but I sure was delighted to hear your voice.. In my head I was like, yo! It's Gary! Great to have you on here.. 😆
Thanks brad for always inspiring us, i literally learnt everything i know from you❣️
I really appreciate your work and dedication brad.
Thank you for coming back from break.
Thanks Gary Simons...
I thought I never would be good enough in front end...
During this period , I accidentally found your design fundemental free course...that course gave me confidence, and I still can't believe that I have improved a lot...and my friends are amazed by my change now...
Bt unfortunately I am unable to take ur course on scrimba...
Bcs it's too expensive for me... it's more than my monthly income...
Anyway thanks a lot
Thanks a lot...
Great Brad and Gary . I follow you both for over an year now and it really is amazing content !
Keep it up !
I really want to make the combination of design and coding and that is perfect
This is exactly what I always wanted. I follow both of you, I have been following Design Course for UI UX advices. And I am primary a back-end developer this is the PERFECT amalgamation.
This is such an awesome video!! Thank you so much Brad and Gary! We will be waiting for you Brad!!
Really enjoyed the video, this is extremely inspiring. What I learned : no need to get ultra fancy, focus on basics. I was pretty amazed seeing how much a difference you made by simply shifting things here and there, with a little bit of resizing and space management. Looking forward to my next challenge as I will definately apply this way of thinking. Thanks again !
that 2nd design tho 🔥
Thank you Brad and Gary... Its been always fun and productive following you guys. Really appreciated!❤️
I need to step back through this and take notes. This is great stuff. As someone who is working to freelance in the field, the amount of things to master is huge. Thankfully, in the past, I've been complimented on some of the UI work I did (hundred years ago) and also in regards to presentations, etc... However, having some "rules" and understanding some of the concepts laid forth is very useful. This, is gold. Nice work. Thank you, subscribing to your channel. Brad, once again, you are the man, great guest star on today's show! ;-)
Great developer (Brad) and great designer (Gary) all in one channel! This is too good 👍🏽👌 you nailed it with the fundamentals as params to make a great design function concept. Well put my friend 🙌🏽
Brad this is a masterstroke, I really enjoyed this. Wishing you the best too. Get back better than ever.
Awesome 😎 I’ve learned a lot from both you guys. 👍 Looking forward to completed this tonight after work.
I've watched a few of Gary's videos before. I might have even gone through a paid course or two. Gary Simons is a class act. For somebody to be an expert at both coding and design is super rare. I cannot think of anyone else who has quite the same skillset as Gary. Great video! Thank you, Brad and Gary.
This tutorial is fantastic! Very simple concepts yet very powerful. The best part is it gives you a framework to work with. Before I didn't even know where to begin. Thank you!
That's an awesome video, thanks, Brad and Gary!
CRAZY GOOD video Gary! Thanks for the project and let's keep the crossovers coming Brad 💪
I remember days when I was learning angular basics from Gary and mean stack from Traversy media. Both are my favorite. Infact I consider Brad as my programming dad.
This is amazing and I also like Gary's content. Thank you Brad for not quiting UA-cam as some awesome UA-camrs do.
Thank you Brad! Thank you Gary for this amazing content. Wasn't sure what to look for when designing UI/layouts, but now I do. I appreciate this so much.
Subscribed to you both long time ago. And you guys are bringing great value to this platform. Keep it up 👍
The best collaboration EVER!

This came at the right time for me. Thanks, Brad and a great first choice.
as a backend developer this has always been my desire to have such knowledge. thank you both!
I really like this combination on one channel. You may have a great new focus for a channel - combining different talents in a single channel. Super!!
Lets learn from another legend on another legends channel. Awesome. I follow you both guys.
Awesome bros.
Lots of love to @traversy @coursetro
Brad, thanks for keeping true to your word. Quality. I don't think in all of my searches I've ever come across DesignCourse, if you hadn't asked him here.
This is cool as hell! Love the idea, and you get a nice break :D
Wow. This was a great start. I was already a subscriber of his, but darn, if this is the quality that you were talking about, you nailed it.

Awesome. Good to have you here Sir. Blessings
These two great youtubers/developers are the reason why I am now a Web Designer. No crap. Since college, I am watching them especially Traversy. I started subscribing to him since 2017 when he has around 100k subs at that time.
great content respect for both for sharing the knowledge which we even cannot get from Universities. May God bless you and your family. ❤
Hey Brad thank you for all your work! You’ve helped millions of people become better programmers. You deserve some time off!

Quite happy for Gary that he can grab some audience with that content. Both channels are awesome.
Great choice for your first guest!!
Thanks so much for this one! Glad to see it!
Am gonna miss you Traversy, you my motivation. Thanks bro
Great choice for the first guest. Gary is the best UI guy in YT.
I've never seen Brad's face, so when i saw this was a ui design video I thought, whaaat, Brad can do UI too?
Brad is a genius programmer, but as a dev myself, I know that coders are bad designers.
This video was awesome, thank you having this guest. I've learned a lot.
You're really killing me with units like 37, 41, 23, etc
That was surprising to see too. I like to use units divisible by 8. Yourself?
@@Evikeuklavier Ohh man! You just opened a whole new world/perspective for me! Thanks man!
Aziz Kaukawala It makes styling much easier! I use it at work and everything just looks good. You should look that up (8 point grid system)!
I'm a huge fan of them both (brad & gary). Damn I learnt so much from them & still learning.
If you are looking to get yourself a degree in Front End, all you need is right here. Take Brad's courses for all the "back end" stuff...and take Gary's for all UI/UX front end stuff. Then head over to your local University and you'll have no problems getting that diploma or certificate. You could even skip university completely and apply for job positions, but most employers do prefer a degree or certification in the tehcnology.
Great content, Brad and Gary! Really appreciate it!
Fantastic combination this is gold for both of U, really hope Brad is hanging in there..:-)!
Very cool to see this type of content crossover!
I love this, am new to programming and Traversy Media is building me
You are best Traversy Media. But your this action to have guests and collaborate is also kind gesture. Respect from Pakistan 🇵🇰. Thanks Traversy & DesignCourse
Brad, like you said in your last video you are wanting to touch on things that you might not cover. This is great. Thank you for this video.
