And how did he get such a short sentence ? That recent case where the guy got 50 years but was later proven innocent because of a dog that they found had no murders in it . But this sicko gets just 20 years for multiple molestations and MURDER of a child WTF ?

    • @theoriginaleb9616

Agreed! But I think the Jacob Wetterling case ended with the best resolution possible, considering the circumstances. The family was able to give him a proper burial, and his killer will likely die in prison.
Personally, I think if someone killed my child, IF NECESSARY, I’d be willing to let them off completely if it meant finding my child’s body. Then I’d have to trust that karma, God, or some other higher power would make the killer pay for what he did. (And by “higher power,” I mean me, in the bushes, outside the guy’s house with a high-powered rifle.) I couldn’t bear the thought of my child’s body being left somewhere unknown to me, especially if there were a person who could tell me where it was. I’d do whatever I’d have to in order to put my child at rest properly.
But if locating my child’s body was not needed or not possible, I’d want the most severe punishment for the murderer. I think we should allow ‘an eye for an eye’ in our criminal justice system. But thanks to our 8th amendment, this isn’t possible, because it forbids cruel and unusual punishment. This is absolutely ridiculous, imo. If someone rapes, tortures, and/or murders another human being (especially a child!!), they should have the exact same thing done to them! Instead, they get to drift off peacefully if they’re given the death penalty. If not, they get a roof over their heads, three meals a day, medical care, and privileges such as television and family visits - all paid for by the taxpayers, i.e., the victims and their families! How is this justice?!?
Since ‘an eye for an eye’ isn’t possible in our system, I’d make damn sure the killer’s fellow inmates knew what he did to my child. They might even end up with extra money in their commissary. Child molesters and child murderers do not fare well behind bars.
Sorry for the rant. I get quite upset and angry with our “justice” system. It doesn’t work, proven by the high recidivism rates. We need harsher punishments and intensive rehabilitation programs.

That's what i was thinking tout myself. Statue of limitation is dangerous for felons like these, because those monsters would do it again for sure. It's extremely dangerous to let them walk away free after raping/killing kids and teenagers.

He was kidnapped 30 years ago but his body was just found in 2016 and only because the sickening pervert who murdered him finally confessed! I remember where I was when the news came on the tv that his body had finally been found after all of those years. Imagine how his family felt not knowing where he was or what had happened to him all of that time. I hope they have found some peace now somehow. At least they were finally able to bring him home and give him a proper burial. Rest in peace, Jacob. 😞😢💜

With the Jacob Wetterling case, the home owned by the confessed killer, where all the child porn was found, was purchased for $100,000 by a man from the Twin Cities for the sole purpose of demolishing it because if it was left standing, every time the neighbors came home, they would be reminded of the monster who lived in that house.

@@isael5992 in iraq, baghdad, on the year 2004, my dad and his friend went out, and my dad was pronounced missing. then, a day later, his friend showed up saying that he has been shot in his arm but he’s okay and my dad has been shot in his torso and leg as both were shot by the american army at that time in baghdad, so they thought they were some type of enemies but they got mistaken and even said that the americans soldiers apologized themselves for the mistake they had done. afterwards, my dad and him were transported by a helicopter to a hospital, and he said my dad was very fine, he was laughing and even stating he needed a ciggerate to calm him down. his friend and my dad got treated for their wounds and they were okay. but for some “reason” his friend said they took my dad to prison but they would release him afterwards. so we waited for him to come back and he never did, his car was found filled with bullets and blood. my uncle is a chief in the baghdad army, and he searched every prison with my dads name and photo and nothing was ever found and he eventually gave up because he said it was dangerous and his life would be in danger if he continued searching for my dad due to iraqs circumstances at that time. but imagine this a woman, seeing bloody corpses, war, going to red zones areas, and very much dangerous iraq, going to the most threatening places at the time that a police chief said he can’t go to, and she is my mom, she spend 4 years going to every prison showing photos and identification to see if he was there, and nothing was found, my dad has 3 brothers which NEVER moved a finger to search for him because they were too “scared”. my mom also never gave up too, we went on live televisions and broadcasts demanding for his comeback, and nothing was found. it’s 2021, my comment was from 1 year ago so i think it’s a sign to not lose hope that you commented. it has been 17 years of him being missing, and sadly i no longer live in iraq, so we might never know what happened to him, i just always wonder why was my dads friend was able to come back but not him is probably a question i will never find out the answer to

I was raised with Death as a regular part of my life from a far back as I could remember as a child. I was also taught to respect women and children with an extra measure of care to ensure their safety and look out for others.
My father also hammered the ideals of right and wrong into my mind daily by constant lessons and experience.
That said, I was taught to protect all women and children with immeasurable power if necessary. I have thankfully only once ever had to physically defend one woman from would be killers/rapists. I cannot even describe the amount of power that flowed through me that one night in 1997.
But I will always remember that defining moment of my life, when I exercised my decision to never be the watching bystander, but ACT the very second I see someone make a wrong move on any child or woman I am around. Even if things go bad for me. My wife supports my decision 100%, and always will.

Some detail missing from the second story (the two police officers that were shot & killed):
After shooting at, and hitting both officers, the "Guilty Grandpa" (in his early twenties at the time) drove off in a speedy frenzy.
One of the officers who was still conscious, fell on the ground, and fired several rounds at the car, before succumbing to his injuries.
In a perfect example of a marksman, all of the fired rounds found their mark- with one bullet actually piercing the bench seat, and entering the guy's back.
All through the years, investigators knew that the guilty person must have an injury/scar on their back. When the investigators finally came up with an individual, the very first thing they checked for was for a serious scar in the guy's back- which they promptly found- from the murdered officer's last thing he did while he was alive: Marking his murderer for life.

There is _so_ much more to the Maria Ridulph case, and based on all that I have read and seen, I believe Tessier _was/is_ the most likely suspect. His timeline of events was/is dubious at best, and, yes, it was more than possible to make that drive back within the allocated time frame; the driving conditions were _not_ bad enough to prevent it.
The prosecution's egregious mistake was that, while they had mountains of circumstantial evidence, they had no "smoking gun," so to speak, and when they decided to take a gamble and proceed anyway, for some reason, crucial evidence such as the spurious, unused military-issued train ticket, was never presented. I cannot remember _why_ so much was left out of the trial; whether it was suppressed by the powers that be, etc., but the prosecution wound up hamstrung, and even though Tessier was/is the most viable suspect, there was simply too much room for reasonable doubt.
Theirs was a gamble lost, and they should _never_ have went to trial. Unfortunately, given Tessier's advanced age, and the ludicrous/antiquated law of "double jeopardy," Maria Ridulph's abduction and subsequent murder, will most likely never see justice served this side of Judgement Day.
Tessier has also been implicated in more than a few reports sexual assault/rape throughout the years, and fwiw, Tessier's own daughter, Christine Marie Tessier, went missing without a trace in 2005, and has neither been seen, nor heard from, since. Tessier's current wife claims he hadn't been in contact with his daughter in years, and since she was last seen with a boyfriend, _he_ is prime suspect; other evidence, however, seems to contradict this claim. Make of that what you will.
As for me, I'm convinced he's guilty of Maria Ridulph's murder, and echo the sentiment of Charles Ridulph (brother to Maria; 11 at the time of her abduction): _"I think it's a sad, sad situation that he was not arrested and confined long before this, because I am certain there are other victims over these many years."_

The Double Jeopardy Law is not ANTIQUATED. It is one of the few checks and balances that keeps the legal system from frivolously charging people and wasting tax dollars on years and years of tedious grudge hearings.

    • @AutomaticDuck300
      @AutomaticDuck300 5 років тому

I agree. The evidence says that he's likely the perpetrator: subsequent track record of sexual assault on minors, the name of the abductor being "Johnny", the fact that he would have been familiar with the local area, etc. It might have been someone else, but Tessier fits the profile perfectly.
Also, if the boyfriend was the last person to see Tessier's daughter alive, was he not questioned?

    • @GeoffreyPitman523
      @GeoffreyPitman523 5 років тому

Seriously?? "ludicrous/antiquated law of "double jeopardy." Are you nuts? The entire point is that the government gets one chance to try someone. They can take as long as they want, there's no statute of limitations on murder. If double jeopardy was not in effect they could keep on re-trying over and over until they get a conviction, and defendants could appeal over and over etc... this way when a Not Guilty verdict is returned, it's over. In this case, the state had ample opportunity to retry and declined to do so:
Following a March 2016 court hearing,[48] on April 15, 2016 Judge William P. Brady of the Illinois Circuit Court vacated McCullough's original conviction and sentence and ordered a new trial. McCullough, who remained charged with the crime, was released on bond that day pending the new trial.[7][49] A week later, Judge Brady dismissed the charges against McCullough; however, the dismissal of the murder charge was without prejudice, meaning that McCullough could be tried again for the murder of Maria Ridulph should a prosecutor wish to do so. Brady postponed ruling on a request by Maria's brother Charles Ridulph, backed by the signatures of hundreds of Sycamore citizens including the city's mayor, that a special prosecutor be appointed to replace Schmack on McCullough's case.[5] On August 5, 2016, Judge Brady denied the motion for a special prosecutor; Charles Ridulph then stated that he would not appeal the ruling.[50]
McCullough was declared actually innocent of the crime by the DeKalb County Circuit Court on April 12, 2017.[10]

May i just note that she had to call from a PAYPHONE. Which implies that she did not have a cell phone. Which means that even if her parents were worried/concerned they would be unable to reach her. Plus and i could be completely mistaken but i don't think many people owned cellphones then, as they would have been newer and i assume costly. Again i was born in the 90's and i know my sister and brother who are 15yrs older than me did not recieve a cellphone until they were Juniors in highschool and the phone they had was a flip one and that was considered new. Smart phones weren't available until the 2000's. I guess what i am trying to explain is that the parents would be unable to reach their missing child once she left the residence of the party. Now as to why she didn't call her parents, idk but pretty dumb move IMO.

I live in the town where Daniel Heinrich, Jacob Wetterling's killer, was caught. The entire town was SHOOK, and everybody was mortified and disgusted. His home was not even a block away from the MIDDLE SCHOOL, and I know for a fact he had neighbors with children: one of these being my two oldest nephews' father. My nephews' father lived 2 HOUSES AWAY at the time, and they would see him on the weekends. After hearing that Heinrich had "homemade KP" in his home, my heart and stomach sunk, think about what that could've meant for my nephews.
After he was taken away, the town had cloud over it of guilt because how could we not know?? The town was pretty swift in completely demolishing the house. There was talks of putting up some sort of little park or memorial for Jacob, but as of yet, It's still just a bare lot of grass. 😕

Erica Draven Foster Ugh, here has been around 100 this entire week. It's raining now, but not even the rain can make the heat go away. I love the cold as well. I come from Madrid, Spain, a place where right now is hotter than ever before. It's the reason why I moved to the Netherlands then here to the US.

Adam Brühl Sinner I am glad I'm not the only one longing for cold and snow!! I can't stand the heat anymore, I wish it was wintertime with lots of snow! Take care and may you find some snow!

Geezus! Holy shit people! So what if he re-uploaded a video? Maybe he deleted it in error! He's human, people make mistakes!

As if it's such a horrible thing to ask "why?". So sick of hyper-sensitive fanboys whining about every fucking post that isn't fanatical praise. Comment sections aren't safe-spaces so maybe you should just stay out of them.

Parents who don't worry when their 15-year-old is out all night at a party? And it happened often? When the parents get worried b/c their daughter's FRIENDS don't know where she is....that's real bad parenting.
