She was an awesome actress in her time. I watched her acting when I was a little girl. Very talented. She should be given a chance to act in atleast one more movie. At her age is AWESOME. I have read comments below that Hariran is keep interfering but he didn't...he is asking appropriate questions at appropriate times.

Oh my god such a wonderful woman.. i don't know why i became so emotional.. why they all became so old?.. God please take back to us our childhood and please make these actors to stay forever young. I don't like seeing them getting old. Don't like this world where social media is ruling people.. i completely hate today's hereos heroines, the songs, the movies everything. Not even one second i felt bored in this interview. She is hilarious man. Amazing attitude, clear speech, clever thoughts and awesome sense of humour and sooo cute she is. Just love her totally, i am crying. At 28.32 when she said "Theriyadha enaku" oh my god how innocent and cute that is. They have lived life with such a dignity. Sowcar janaki was an above average actor in her hey days.
She used to act in films in just supporting roles unlike her contemporaries like Padmini Savithri, Sarojadevi, etc.. who donned primary roles as heroines in many films.
Yet, her acting would move all of us in whatever roles she took on.
Yet, she could never command charismatic appeal over the viewers like her aforestated contemporaries did.
Yet, we should admire her for her courage & tenacity in building up her career & life, single handedly.
At 88, she seems to be perfect in fine health. Wish her still many more years of life with the same fine health.

Glad to see you in this interview ma @ sowcar janaki. She is one of the senior actresses in Indian film industry. I can able to see how health conscious she is as I watched her cooking videos in UA-cam before and its amazing. That's why she is still energetic and passionate. Can't believe that she married before sowkar movie as she looks very small in that movie. I also remember her excellent acting as blind women in Manchi Manasulu with Savitri & Nageswar Rao. No one will forget her Partha Nyabagam Illayo song, she was so good in that exclusive black saree. She is such a legandry actress. Thanks for the interview.

மனதை வருடும் ஒரு அழகிய செவ்வி. இவரை தேர்ந்தெடுத்தமைக்கு முதலில் நன்றி..என்னவொரு பண்புள்ள,அற்புத நடிகை...இதில் இவர் சொன்ன ஒரு வார்த்தை என்னை மிகவும் கவர்ந்தது.. "மன்னிக்கவும் நான் புதிய படங்கள் பார்ப்பதில்லை" என்று குறள் போல சுருக்கமாக கூறியுள்ளார்..அந்த லட்சணத்தில் தான் இன்றய சினிமா உள்ளது..சபாஷ்.

What an opportunity to see and hear dear legend Madam Sowcar Janaki. From my those childhood days when I first saw her in "Valaiyabathi" (1952?) with Muthukrishnan (songs : 'Kulir thamai malarinai kanndu...' 'Kuligidum poovillelam..') there isn't one movie where where I did not like her acting.
Sowcar Janaki Mam is a very knowledgeable person with a beautiful intellectual qualities. Her English is fluent, eloquent and her command of the English language is awesome.
Sowcar Janaki is a down to earth honest person and she is one of the very very few people in the Indian Film Industry who had set golden rules. May God bless her with long life. Thanks for the interview.

To speak other language, no need to be educated. Language knowledge is different and Education is different. My friends grandma speaking French fluently, who never been to school in Pondicherry.

Anyway I’d like to address the interviewer on his mistakes. He could have allowed her to speak in elaborate details whatever she wanted to convey. Didn’t like the way he cuts her in between speech. My perspective!
