Hey, Lucian! Do i understand it right: that we can build a hosting company through this panel, but we have to do lots of backend stuff (i mean to make a site and connect the ptero)?
Some hosting companies do use Pterodactyl yes, however I've never done that route before so not exactly sure how to set it all up but yes it can be done.
I have everything set up the exact way you’ve described but I’m still having an issue with reaching my ip through the browser to get the initial configuration file. I’m getting a 504 error. Does anyone have any suggestion?
You skipped the SSL part correct? Also according to the Github where the eggs can be found have reached the end of life and looks like they are getting ready for something new. "Pelican".
@@luciandev correct. Would my dns server have any bearing? All the ports that were open with ufw are opened on my router as well. I’ll check the GitHub again and see if I can find anything else
@@luciandev that might be my issue. The first time around I used my internal and I got a different page than you. I assumed I was wrong and completely reinstalled the os and started over using the public ip maybe that’s where I went wrong. Can I change the ip without completely reinstalling?
@@paulklimes5199 I would assume there is, however, I'm unaware of how to do this personally (Without starting fresh). I don't use this software anymore not for awhile so I haven't really kept up with it, and everything had worked for me when I set it up for my personal use & again for the video so I never had to lookup how to do it or anything.
i love you , now show me how to run 2 game servers using the same files , like cs2 game uses 50 gb space on disk i wanna use multiple servers using the same files using pterodactyl
Ez-Pz :) Other then needing the resources to run 2 servers, all you need to do is change up the ports each server uses. For example: Server 1 use: 25565 Server 2 use: 25567 Server 3 user: 25569 You can do this as many times as you want as long as you have the resources.

@@paulklimes5199 Also you are using the machines local ip address to access the web panel correct and not your public ip address.

Could anyone explain why the ip takes me to a "welcome to nginx" page
That happens when the site isn't setup correctly so probably something broke during the installation.
