ok so HOW do i create my complete own server, not thrugh someone else sites etc, I want to make my own game, with my own server.. I have no idea what I am looking for and what I would need? all help would be great :)
Love it when sudo knowledgeable people make claims without specifics: I have multiple Windows 8.1 and 10 running 24x7, for years now and without more than rebooting when applying updates. I also run Unix and Linux servers 24x7 and do not find much difference in their uptimes.
Win 10 is trash. Full of useless services running in the background, when running servers like this you don’t want x amount of memory or cpu lost to running all the extras GUI comes with. Stop being so pedantic...
@@mrhacker99999 seeing as you can run windows core which doesn't have UI your comment doesn't make too much sense. Linux defininitely has it's advantages in some use cases especially when running on limited hardware such as a rasberry pie (depending on the distro). Also windows server is rather different from the average win 10 consumer system, for example windows server allows a lot more control regarding updates. Each system should be used for wherever it is the best option, neither linux or windows is objectively better at everything.
@@Malekthegreat AMP doesn’t run on Windows core and Win server is the same with all its services. You’re ignorant af to think that Windows is good at all. It’s a cluster fuck of feature strapped together since XP and hanging by a thread. An example of it ruining stuff for people is updates bricking the installation it’s all documented online. 🤷♂️
Windows has a few technical limitations that make Linux more suitable for game servers. For example on Windows you can't start a process as a user other than yourself, even if you're Administrator. The exception to this is non-interactive services, but unless you want to use a built-in user like NETWORK SERVICE (and there are good reasons not to want to do this) then you have to have the users credentials stored, which is not ideal.
The reason for that comment is from personal experience. I (currently) run 2 systems that should be 24/7 systems running Windows 10. They restart at will despite my update policy and PowerShell script to remove the telemetry and update controls. The number of times I've had to remote into one of them to press the "no I don't want a Microsoft account" button for the hundredth time just to let it boot. I'm glad your experience is better, but that doesn't discount mine.

i created instance but could not where to edit server files like .cfg
You can also put the server in a DMZ (de-militarized zone) on the router.

AMP is not a great panel. Just use Pterodactyl.
I have never seen a childish explanation of docker ever, but as this is for gamers I guess you don't need to know too much about it.
