You forgot to mention how catdog has to poo - deciding whether to go to the litter-box or the neighbor’s lawn is the least of all concerns.
There was a German scientist who fused two dogs together. So it's in Thoery possible but that also brings up nutrition questions. Cats and dogs have very different diets. So while it might be possible fuse things like stomach or nerves if they similar enough it might hit a wall as you have to try account for diet. Cats are more carnivorous than dogs.

Just came back from watching Rocko's modern life and it's pretty good once you get used to some of the adult humor and jokes and not to mention the announcement of him joining Nickelodeon All Star Brawl, but otherwise the show still holds up.
If you were somehow able to make fully working, functional time machine and you go back in time to when cats and dogs were fully evolved but their DNA were still closely related just enough to be able to make a hybrid then maybe you could get a CatDog that was or maybe of you were able to make a machine that allowed you to fuse ANYTHING together (no matter if it's an object or DNA) then you could grab either dog DNA or entire dog and either cat DNA or an entire cat, put them into the machine and fuse them together like that to get a CatDog like that, but you'd have to be like Rick Sanchez level of smart to do that

Hi! It's me! Isaac! I realize that wording it that way makes it seem like we've interacted in some way before, but really I just wanted to make a reference to how Austin does all of his videos. In fact, I'll be putting in a few more references, so keep an eye out for them! (A clap and a half to any theorist who spots them all). Anyway, getting on topic, this is the first UA-cam comment I’ve ever written and I’m writing it because I have a HUGE favour to ask. Like, the number of possible Mario Maker levels to the power of the cost of building a Death Star multiplied by the number of digits in pi huge. I have a game that I've loved for a long time, but I’ve always had trouble putting the lore together, so I decided to ask some professionals. Since I couldn't find any, I'll ask you guys instead. (Kidding!) The game in question is by the same people who created the "Kingdom Hearts" series. The characters in the game have appeared as side characters in one or more “Kingdom Hearts” games (I’m not sure which one/ones), but I want to know what actually happens in the game that focuses on THEIR story, called "The World Ends With You" (original Japanese title; "It's A Wonderful World"). The gameplay itself is fairly straightforward, and makes full use of the Nintendo DS’s features, such as battling across both screens and using the touchscreen really well for literally everything you do from battle to dialogue to using the menu. Additionally, there’s now a remake for iPhones called “The World Ends With You; Solo Remix”, but I haven’t played that, so I don’t know the differences, if there are any. (Also, there’s another remake on the way for the Nintendo Switch. “The World Ends With You: Final Remix”.) Unfortunately, the lore makes NO GOD DAMN SENSE to me. It’s like Scott Cawthon and Toby Fox teamed up to make the rageiest lore they possibly could. Or at least, that’s what it feels like for me. Except, they weren’t on the gaming scene at the time, so maybe that analogy doesn’t work… I dunno… Anyway, please, please, PLEASE, for the love of all that is cold, sweet and hard to flip (and may or may not sound like “Riot Smoke”) help me with this issue or I swear to Moana I will copy this into the comments section of every Game Theory, Film Theory and GT Live video you guys post until I see it happen!

I'm surprised, Matt, that you didn't touch on how evolution alone has already sorta created the closet thing we're gonna get to Catdogs: Foxes and Hyenas. They're what happens when each family tries to fill in the niche of an environment that's lacking the other. Basically, Foxes are dogs (canines) that decided they should cat and evolved in order to better cat, and Hyenas are cats (felines) that decided they should dog, and thus evolved in order to better dog.

Hold on a second. So, I know you can't fuse them together after birth, or breed em, or irradiate em. But, here's a hypothetical, what if they're really one organism. People have theorised about making their own creatures without other genes splicing. What if they used inspiration from dog and cat, created the DNA themselves without splicing, and then grew it in a lab jurassic park style?

You didn’t consider the possibility that “cat dog” weren’t actually a cat and a dog. Sure they may look like a cat and a dog they also look VERY similar, they have the same fur color+pattern and they have similar shaped eyes, noses, and legs. They could possibly be a totally different species from some alien planet and they could be a very closely related species. They could be named “catdog” because they LOOK like a cat and dog. I know this probably isn’t true but I thought I was a cool idea.

For anyone thinking they poop by throwing up, that’s not true. The digestive tract functions as a one-way pass out of the tunnel. Most food is digested in the small intestine so the stomach from both or either side will empty into their respective small intestine. The smooth (involuntary) muscles that push food “down and out” CANNOT push food back up. It will attempt to empty into the other’s digestive tract but the other’s tract can’t push the food up either. The dog or cat head will only throw up if the fecal matter has started filling the stomach, which is inevitable. Eventually the intestines will rupture and both animals will die. It is a gruesome, horrifying death full of nothing but suffering.

The most likely option for CatDog existing and the show is being sewn together after both animals being tranquilized or unconscious because when it shows in the opening of the show they both woke up and try to run away from each other so they were both in an unfamiliar situation and the cat and dog wouldn't have been aggressive to each other if they were together from the beginning of their life.

Funny story: (important info- me and my brother where IN LOVE with the show cat-dog we watch it at my grandmas house cause we did not have cable at our house) have When I was about 7 and my brother was 4 or 5 we lived in small town in Missouri and me and my neighbors kids where have a little camp out in their backyard. So my brother was scared of the dark when we where little so he stayed home but as me and my neighbor where walking him home in the dark he say something run across the street and screamed "CATDOG!!!" and me and my neighbor both got scared and for the longest time we all thought their really was a catdog in our neighborhood, until my neighbors dad found what brother yelled about and it turned out to just be a fox. so this is kinda related to Billy Totten's comment.
