Love it! I feel, but that may be just me, that we have now 2 fixed gear dirt category: gravel fixed gear and Tracklocross. But that's just a detail 😁😁 A fixed gear in the dirt is always the funniest thing. Regarding tubeless, I tried on my steamroller and went back just because of the maintenance that it requires vs tubes
Regarding tubeless, to each his own. All of my bikes have tubes. I haven't had a flat in 3 or 4 years. If I was tubeless, it would have added a ton of maintenance hours over those years from toping off the juice. Since tubeless tires need to be topped off twice a year, it seems that when you get three or more flats per year it becomes worth considering. Most of my bikes are steel so the turbo weight weenee factor does not apply to me. I am fussy about tube weight though. Thanks for the vid, the scenery is always a nice change of pace.
You might consider getting a wider bar (yours looks a bit too narrow for you) and add a set of Fixed Gear Faux/Track bike hoods for a better hand position and support.
Do you feel that you have gotten weaker in Fla since there are no real hills to climb? I do not run tubeless on any of my bikes. Dont feel the need to and like you, I have not gotten any flats. Honestly I almost never get a flat.
tbh not too bad! I surprisingly do have fairly decent hills, but the overall power is going as fast as possible so I'm still pushing hard! Plus all the sandy areas lol. Thanks again for watching!
Yeah but, yeah but, nah. I don't like sand at all, its horrible to live on & horrible on the drive train. Ditto mud, rocks, & all other imperfect surfaces.

Thanks for watching! That actually is a good point, I can get behind that!

Fantastic video! what saddle are you riding?
Thank you so much! I’m riding the Pro Stealth Saddle! Not the carbon version just the steel rail version.
🔥🔥🔥
Do you think you can link the water bottle cages?
What do you think is the minimum tire size required to conquer all this sand out here?
You see Gravel Cyclist's video from tour of quilt country? One of our local guys did the full 100 miles on his Soma fixie
@@lincolnlu9869 I wound up checking out the vid after reading your comment, it was awesome! Thanks for the recommendation!
Tracklocross seems to be as cool as it is scary
100% Luckily I'm riding my gravel bike conversion now offroad and made this a bit more road oriented

Yea it kind of kills me hearing the crunchiness coming from the chain, cog, and chaining
