- Hey friends! We are back with another #vlog. Thanks to my boo thang for participating in my shenanigans but I couldn’t have done my hair without her. Listen this wasn’t easy by far. My arms definitely got a workout. I’m so happy they are now done 👏🏾👏🏾
It’s been one year (one year anniversary in March) since my daughters have had microlocs. I’ve enjoyed learning about the maintenance and the daily upkeep. It hasn’t been easy because it was new territory but we’re here. After the new year I found myself saying that I wanted locs in my hair. I wanted to pop out for my 38th birthday with a new do but to my surprise I was able to get it done before then.
I honestly can’t wait to learn more about microlocs and enjoy having a new natural hairstyle. I’m in love 😍

Great job on your DIY. I wasn’t as confident and paid for my micro braid Locs. With my curly ends, I don’t want bunching before the loving process and she told me to braid it up at night to make sure the bunching does not occur. I love it her! The simplicity of hair care; getting ready in the morning is amazing. My first wash day with microlocs took no time at all and I can still use my black hair rinse. Braids did not unravel and scalp feels great! She did a 3 point rotation and I have my first consultations with local locticians this weekend! I will not maintain them myself even though I want to learn how to! I consider going to get my retires a form of solitude and self-care….it will be a treat to myself!
Beautiful work!!! I love how you stay calm with your little ones! As a mom it is not easy to do anything for yourself without the little bosses of the house demanding your time and attention. Great job on mommying and hair! 👏🏾

Congrats on your loc journey as well!! Yes my friend that parted my hair is a loctician so she will maintain them for me but I definitely want to learn to do them myself. Yes it’s so easy to get ready in the mornings now I don’t how to act 😂

You stayed calm cool and collective and you remained joyful throughout the whole process which the outcome was flawless and so is yourself 🥰. I wish there were more people like you in the world and you seem like a very fun person to be around. I know this is 3 months from the start process but I can’t wait to see your hair flourish overtime and be a new member to the crew. Also I wanted to add that your video inspired me to maybe start micro locs in the near future because you and your friend really did yalls thang✨
