Josh, I got a question for you. What happens if you end up in Jail or Prison with braces on? Do you remove them completely regardless of how far you are into your realignment? Or will then send you to medical to have them readjusted. I was curious since you can’t just leave them on indefinitely. Did you ever encounter this?

I always heard about the basic rules of prison and jail:
-Do not borrow anything from ANYONE
-Do not get in debt
-Show respect to others if they show respect to you
-Be prepared to unleash violence if necessary
this is what ive heard too, my cousin went and thats what he always told me if it ever happened to me. The main one, dont borrow, accept, gamble ANYTHING with ANYONE, because it automatically puts you in their debt and opens all the predation up. You will still have times someone will end up messing with you, and you gotta fight even if you get beat up if you dont back down it helps you from not becoming a constant target. It also depends where in the country you are, different problems slightly different rules.
It’s not “…if necessary” it’s WHEN necessary
You forgot:
-Mind your own damn business
-Don’t gamble (if you can’t pay)
-Don’t be telling
-DON’T STEAL (#1 Rule)
The number one reason I saw someone get smashed out was for being a jailhouse thief. I personally had to “check” a few of homies for stealing.
@@davemccage7918 good point, I for some reason thought it was common sense not to steal from anyone in prison but you are exactly right. Stealing anything from another inmate is the easiest way to get yourself killed in there.

Every teenager should watch this video. There is nothing cool about getting in trouble. It's a tragedy for someone to go young into the prison system.
Yeah it might seem cool to them but once they get to their mid 20s they realize it's really not that cool because it might be too late since they might be locked up for the rest of their lives.

I tell my students when they speak on someone being home on parole, n how they talk about what they did in prison (How cool it was). Ask them why they paroled out then, rather then maxing out if it was so cool, chill, n fun!!

Never except "gifts" or "favors" from strangers(we learned this at a young age ppl. Lol) with no strings attached. No, don't get that confused with your homie (or relative) that has been for a while, and they send you a little care package. Soaps, shampoo, razors extra tp ect... You're safe to except that. That's family looking out. But big bad Bubba just being "nice" is a hell fucking no.

When I was in prison in Oregon there was a guy name angel and he was a lifer locked up since the 70s and known as a bad ass golden glove boxer. He was always known for being a predator and he would make advances on people and if they said no he would knock them out and take it

After visiting the local pen on a high school trip many years ago I knew it was a place I never wanted to see again.
Scare them, bribe them, do whatever it takes to keep your kids out of that life.
The department of corrections didnt correct shit when I was there I just learned how to be a better criminal amongst my peers 😂

I've been following your channel for a while now a lot of what you post is raw and reality there's no sugar coating it. I showed my little brother this video because he's starting to go down a road I went down with gangs,drugs, violence the works. I'm thankful I never did any serious time but how he's moving it's only a matter of time before I get the call he's dead or locked up. I showed him this video and a few others and coming from someone who lived that life opened his eyes a little bit. So I just wanted to show love and say thank you what your channel represents is more then just entertainment it's reality you may not see it but your really making an impact out here. Honestly, there is some genuine insight in your videos. Your the substitute for people who didnt have dads that taught them how to act in these situations. Literally sometimes your qouting my pops almost word for word. And when that information eventually was needed i was grateful, for sure. #1 rule: the 1st people that try to make friends, arent friends..

This is some helpful stuff Josh, seriously, you might just save someones life. I moved to an area that was rougher than i thought many years ago... I was out of shape with skinny arms and legs due to a back injury, i also had a pronounced accent that sounded intelligent to ex-cons that also attended this gym. One huge one started gradually trying to get in my head, creating physical obstacles in the locker room by blocking my path, making sly remarks, even this growling noise in an attempt to intimidate me no doubt. I was about ready to bring a steel bar in to the gym to attack this guy with when i decided that then i would be the one going to jail if i did that - so i altered the time i went to the gym but then just quit that place.... Its sad that people like that are out there, but I'll be damned if i throw my life away just teaching this guy a lesson.

I grew up in Buffalo and Jamestown NY. From all of my uncles and homies that have been locked I’ve heard of stabbings, jumpings, murder rape torture.
All of it. But there are people who never went through anything. I’ve had people say it ain’t nothing like that. And then I’ve heard all the other stuff. But yeah many homies have come out with new scars from jumpings, beat with weapons, stabbed etc

I did 2 years in TN when I was 24-26, Thank God I knew a guy from the streets who showed me the ropes, when he got out, I started playing softball, poker & actually met some guys from where I was from but damnit man, watching these videos brings back memories. Stay Free ppl, it’s been 13years but I remember the compound like it was yesterday
I was 18 in 1996 when i went to visit Bangkok, I ended up dealing in yaba and for about 3 years i made roughly 30 million bah. I was arrested, pled guilty as my Thai lawyer told me I’d get a better sentence by accepting guilt, needless to say he was wrong. I ended up serving 20 years(2000-2020) of a 45 year sentence at Klong Prem Central. Words cannot describe the hell it was, luckily since i had money i could buy protection from inmates and guards. I was able to buy food from the outside and share with others to curry favor. I was given a royal pardon when covid was racing around the globe…

You mentioned people laughing about this topic early in the video. It's so commonplace in the comments section below crime-related videos that I'm disgusted with my fellow Americans. Foreigners will express their incredulity at it there, and their reaction is human and compassionate; unlike so many of my countrymen.
To think how society would react to people joking about the SA of females; nobody deserves to be violated. The prison sentence, loss of freedom and hard living is the punishment - not SA. Inmates with a proclivity for that need to be housed in a supermax like facility where they can't victimize others.
Sometimes people are revolting. I can't imagine how our creator feels about those who derive pleasure from others' pain like this; spectator and participant alike.

Many years ago. I was 21 first time in jail. went in naked to the showers in Rikers Island. Big mistake. I knew 0. Suddenly some Greek guy walked into the shower area fully dressed. Making like Mr.Friendly. He kept looking down at my family jewels. I got the message immediately. That night I laid down my law to the Greek.
