I’m so mad at you Jen. You’re the one who made me decide to try the SK II essence, and after 5 bottles and over $600 later, I’m still addicted to it and my skin sucks without it! Like WHY IS IT SO ESSPENSIVE!!?!??! But its sooooo good to slap on my face after I wash it and before I moisturize! 🖤🖤
I used up the whole whipped cream drunk elephant cream and I have oily combo skin. For those of you who have oily combo skin, you can totally use this! Even though it’s a thicker consistency, the cream is actually mattifying and I LOVED it. It’s not sticky or gooey super THICK cream !
Essence is the only thing worth trying in my opinion - i tried their serums, creams and toner - nothing special, but the essence is the best, I'm using amorepacific one now but will definetely go back to SK-II
I’m actually the opposite as you ^. I like all of the other skii products but not the essence. It didn’t do anything for any skin and I noticed I was even more congested. I tried it for 6 months so yeah, definitely try it first before buying the full size or larger bottle.
The MAC brush cleanser is a spot treatment for sure to me. I love it when I just need to get a specific color out of a brush and have it dry in 10 minutes or less. I much prefer something sudsy for my deep clean!
For my hair, I used to buy strictly KeraCare products, but I find that if you read the labels carefully, you can find decent dupes in the Tresemme lineup. My hair is multi-ethnic, thick, long, wavy, and can get very dry. I’m not a fan of greasy oily moisturizers in my hair, and Tresemme fits the bill at a less expensive price!
High end: Sunday Riley Good Genes treatment is something I keep going back to, and is worth every penny! The scent has a licorice quality when I put it on, but that doesn’t last. Low end: Pixi Glow Tonic is a consistent repurchase I enjoy. I have sebborrheic dermatitis that acts up during the cold months, and it gives me a mild daily exfoliation, when scrubbing manual exfoliation is far too irritating.
For rinse-off masks, I’m repurchasing Andalou Naturals in Clarity. It comes in single-use pods, so every time I go to Whole Foods, I pick up a few. It feels cool and refreshing when it goes on, and my skin looks clearer and brighter immediately! All natural and great for angry skin days (hormones 🙄). The entire Andalou product line-up is all natural, and I’m excited to try more!
I also LOVE LOVE LOVE lavender-scented products, so I really recommend the Aveeno Active Naturals Stress Relief Moisturizing Lotion with lavender, chamomile, and ylang-ylang. I use it as a daily body lotion, and it is heavenly.
Hi Jen - I love Sunday Riley's Luna Sleeping Night Oil coupled with Good Genes. I'm Asian (also originally from KS!) with hyperpigmentation, and these products have really lightened up my spots. They're retinol/acid products, so not great for those with sensitive skin. Thanks for all of your insightful videos!

I also have had a hard time with acne scars. I'm almost 30 and recently started using the Shiseido Ibuki Sleeping Mask. It's literally become my holy grail now and I can totally feel my face appear fresher and cleaner than before! Best of all, it's one of those masks where you pop on after washing your face and then you can go to sleep with it on. The next morning, my face looks totally revitalized and my acne scars have now started to fade away too! You should totally give it a try and let us know what you think!

The C-Firma drunk elephant stuff is REALLY good to put on sunburns. It helped (before aloe) the super bad burn that I got on my face in Peru.

You're using the MC Brush cleaner wrong. It a fast-drying spot cleaner, not a deep cleaner like shampoo or brush soap.

sweetiramisu21 vitamin c can cause breakouts in acne sensitive skin so it’s probably not the C Firma specifically, but vitamin c products in general.
