Awesome! Thanks for posting this. Now, how about a video explaining chiggers. My understanding is that chiggers, rather than bite, plant their egg under the skin, and then the itching occurs. If this is correct, then what happens if the egg hatches while you are in your home. Does a little baby chigger, or chigger larvae then jump off you and go looking for the dog? Or vice versa? Thanks again for this informative video.
Oklahoma State Entomology did a bug myth video on chiggers that you can find here: ua-cam.com/video/ksRDnth7rM4/v-deo.html . Doing a segment on chiggers and other nuisance pests in the garden is a great idea! Thanks!
I would say there is no 'known' centipede that is dangerous enough to a person that it does anything more than hurt. I mean... it's a small and fast creature, so... even if you include the possibility that there are new sup-species over the last decade or two... there's always the chance that they are in a distant location that is hard to reach and few people visit.
Yay long brutal Canadian winters for the win!!! I got no problem with them doing their thing, but glad ones we get here are tiny by comparison :) Mostly the centipedes, mill’s I know just ball up, but centipedes even little ones doing that charge freaks me out lol like an elephant and a mouse I guess but still, just instinct to avoid them and I’m happy to do it :)
"centipedes can't put in the hospital" Me: "BABEH THIS THANGS ARE VENOMOUS THEY CAN PUT YOU IN THE HOSPITAL *even though they rarely inject venom into us BUT yeah..*
This was very informative, and straight to the point. I loved learning the difference, thank you.
Thank you for watching!
Oh my goodness, you picked it up! My anxiety just shot sky high. Great information but I just listened to the video (I couldn't watch it)! 😄
Thank you for clarifying this important distinction. Great job.
Thank you, very informative and I enjoy your presentation.
My children and I enjoyed your video! Thank you!

Thank you for the info !
I was looking for a video of them fighting but I found something better.
Thanks for the clear info. Do centipedes eat earthworms?
Excellent
Got bitten by a 14-inch centipede in Orlando. Saw a 7-10 inch-long centipede in my backyard one night, in Wilmington North Carolina, did not bite
Thanks. Interesting

The legs
Millipede has a pair of legs (pede) per millimetre of body segment.
Centipede has a pair of legs (pede) per centimeter of body segment.
