    They use a force gauge to see how much force is needed to open the door after the crash.
    After you have survived the crash, I'd bet you would want to be able to get out of the car. That's what they're testing with those things.

    Manager: 'Right team - any ideas for a new way we can wreck our cars today?' Team Member: 'Well we could drop them from a crane...' (and yes Volvo did do that...although that was primarily to help train the emergency services, however some of the cars seemed to hold out quite well!). Other Team Member: 'Well I was watching the Fast & Furious franchise last night and I suppose we could do...'

    they're not testing brakes, they're seeing what happens when a car crashes so they're not stopping them from happening but they're stopping people from dying

    hand?

    this is pretty cool the cars may get destroyed bur its for the sake of safety and likely one of the few and maybe the only motor company that does it themselves

    I think a glass surface would affect the pressure of the impact compared with a natural surface of asphalt or cement, because tires are more likely to skid in the smooth surface of the glass rather than in the rough surface of the asphalt or cement. Does anyone had thought on that?

    It is alittle bit hard to explain why that comment is wrong, because volvo is developed in sweden and notchina, volvo china makes thier own cars and develop themself, for example, if a chinese man starts to work on volvo he has to be watched all the day to look that he don't steal information and secret Project that volvo can use in china.
    Just because volvo is owned b chinese does not mean that it has been worse quality. It is Swedish and it will Always be Swedish high quality cars.

    • @ELValenin
      @ELValenin 4 роки тому +1

      There really is no point in that as 1. You break before an accident and 2. There really is not much chance of survival at 50+ as the G forces are just too high..
