Each time in the end of one of your videos I find myself sitting for a very long time thinking of best words of gratitude that could describe how they make me feel....all I find is to say: I hope you know how much you give and how happy you make some of us!
Thank you Karineh! Your comment today brings much light to my day. I hope you know that watching my videos and leaving such beautiful comments also encourages me to keep creating them. Sending a warm hug all the way from Canada.
Fabiola, you are a gem of a human. Thank you for being true to yourself and inspiring the rest of us to rest for the depth and reaches of who we are too.
Thank you so much for your beautiful tutorials. I love watching the peacefulness you always display while sharing your beautiful work Thank you for your kindness.xx
Thank you so much for your kind words Sharon. I abhor having to talk on my videos but so many people keep requesting it…I hope this was enjoyable to watch even though the voice is all over the place ;-)
I bought the little fig pattern from her Etsy shop And thru my own fault I could not get it to down load, I was not signed in when I ordered, anyway she fixed it. And personally emailed it to me. I love it is so good. The instructions are easy to follow and understand how to do this doll a little treasure. I have read it thru about 3 times as I am making a doll from a pattern/ kit I bought from amazon. It was not as clear how to follow. I have finished that doll waiting on hair. Anyway. Just to say again she is great love it.
So happy you are happy with your little fig Paula! As a side note, I just published a little online course on dressmaking with patterns that fit that little doll. If you want to check it out, please visit us here: dollmakingacademy.thinkific.com/courses/doll-dressmaking-course-little-fig
Thank you I love your tutorials soooo much! I am new to this but so excited to create these little personalities. I cant wait to view all of your videos. I love your tutorial style as well. It is so calming. What a gift
Thank you Mary. I am glad to hear that. I don't publish that many tutorials here because I do that twice a month on Patreon, so not enough time. But I do make sure to come and post at least a video every now and then. I hope you enjoy dollmaking.
Hello thank you so much 🙏🏼I just begin to make Dolls for 6 months and your vidéos are so helpful. I’m French and I don’t speak fluently english but I can understand . For me making dolls is also like a healing and each doll has her own personnality. Will follow your good advices and hope some day my dolls will be as lovely yours.Best regards.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent and instructions. I love making dolls. I'm looking forward to trying your doll hair techniques. Again thank you ❤
Your video is beautiful. I absolutely love all of the doll hair you have given your dolls. They are lucky to have such a wonderful mother. I love the peaceful quality of your videos, your sweet voice and the perfect music. Always a delight.
Crazy time doesn't even begin to describe it Cheryl, I feel we have entered the twilight zone and everything is upside down. Madness at every corner. Be well and keep your family close! Thank you for watching my little videos. xo
Lord in Heaven !!!! I feel like I found a GOLD MINE today !!! Did not know you were on youtube. I just watched your video "Dolls Of 2021" Brilliant !!! I am just a beginning felter, but am amazed how it all seems oddly familiar and natural to me. My first piece was a rabbit, which was suppose to take 3 hours. but took me 7. !!!! I worked till 4 in the morning. But it was worth it. Like you, I am also a Naturalist, and teach fishing, foraging and earth appreciation. I find you as a kindred soul !! I already have specific questions about parts of your doll felting process. Is there anywhere I can post my questions to you ??? I already have my doll series drawn and have been looking for years for the right way to put them in FORM. I finally found it and plan to put you and your gracious gifts in my Gratitude Journal TODAY. Hope to write again. The End for NOW.
Hi, that's nice that you teach those things, I think the world needs to regain contact with the Earth and its magical processes. If you need to get in touch with me, feel free to email me via my website. There's a contact page there.
I want to make Dolls SOOO bad! I haven’t looked up any videos yet-just searched books! I’m so happy to find your channel. Your Dolls truly look so real. Like, you CAN see their soul! They are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I have to go check out your Etsy shop! And I’m just learning about Patreon. I’ll check for you there as well! ☺️
@@Figandme I can tell !! I have made Santa’s for many years using wool from my sheep for hair . People go nuts over them . My Santa’s look like child’s play next to your dolls ❤️😂
I have a lot of soft alpaca fiber yarn. I will try dyeing that into the color orangey red. I also have lots of wool as I used to needle felt. I liked making 2D paintings with wool fiber mostly however I did make an armature and it became a bearded man in a red sweater and blue jeans. I also made a 12 inch doll made in the likeness of a boy my granddaughter was best friends with in 3rd grade. He was killed in a car accident with his mom as the driver of the car that was hit by a drunk driver. It was a beautiful blond haired doll made of good cotton knit interlock fabric. I then Got into another hobby and gave my granddaughter all my supplies. Long story short it was not taken care of so all was lost and im out the supplies. Do you know where i could purchase some decent cotton interlock fabric in a caucasian skin tone? Im 74. I have been longing to get back into doll making once more before im gone. Im so so sorry this is so very long. Thank you for your contribution to the doll art world. You are magnificently talented. A gift. I appreciate being able to learn from you. More than appreciate really. Blessings from whomever you believe in.
Sure! You can buy it from The Olive Sparrow on Etsy. She has very affordable shipping. Hoping you get back into dollmaking real soon and thank you for sharing your story.
I'm very curious about making knotted yarn doll hair. That style of hair seems to consist of knotting yarn into a thick almost curly cap for the doll. I've seen it a few times on dolls for small children but have never come across a tutorial for it. It doesn't look like it's very common. Have you heard of it and do you know how to do it?
It’s exactly the same technique as I shared with Gretel strands. Except the yarn is different, not mohair straight but boucle. I think this is what you are talking about.
Or… when you use yarn strands, knot them, and sew them down all over the head, to make it look as if curly short hair. I taught a workshop on that last year but it’s not my favourite hairstyle nor one I do very often because I prefer mohair yarn for my baby dolls 🥰
Well, reborn dolls are made of vinyl, these dolls are made of fabric so you can sew the weft to the head. You can if you want to, but you will have to use glue and I have no experience there to help you.
Sorry about that. A lot of people do love the music I choose and is also a very important part of creating my videos. The music inspires me as I edit and sets me in the mood for creating the video, it's as much part of the creative process as what I have to say or the clips and photos I choose. So I guess for me even though I now know some people really dislike it, it's a sacrifice I am willing to make because it's very important to my creative process.
My goodness, I love your dolls hair, all of them. Each of them are so lovely, natural and suit the doll perfectly.😊❤
You are so kind, thank you!

Hello! Please, is there a video or a more detailed explanation of the rotating-head technique? I am beyond curious!!
Hi Rebecca, I do not teach the technique I use for this style of head, sorry.

Not, it's not there either. Like I said, I do not teach this technique.
