Most diverse songwriter ever .. legend!!!!,
i think this concert should be remastered and still admit donations... it's a cultural treasure
💯 bob geldof was underrated then 😂
You're right
I love the Style Council... for me its soulful, fun and ever deeper music from Wellar... with a message.
Brilliant lyrics never more relevant than today as we face worldwide threats, pandemic, climate change, and our state governments are failing us, they must be put aside, power to the people
Their live aid set is tight AF
I wonder what they would think if they saw my two kids, 5 and 8, dancing and singing along almost 40 years later. They should be a proud bunch!
Beautiful.
I watched a lot of Live aid in 1985 but never got to see the whole concert. Can´t remember seeing this.
Camille Hinds great line of bass. He's a great bassist.
THAT'S a bassline!
My favorite song of this band
really?
BabyBoomerChannel was about to say the same, they had much better songs than this.
Really? This one never did it for me, though I've always appreciated it.
@@Eleventhearlofmars anche se fosse?
Thanks for posting. Interesting song by a short lived band by Paul Weller.
The STYLE Councils...too funny. This BAND was in the Originals 1976 a tad 'ambitious' PLAY. Cool Lee O! xxx
I adore Paul Weller.. ❤️
I've got the full concert on DVD, it came out in the 90s it's better to watch in full,
Yep watching it in full is fun
That’s not the actual full concert
Songs were taken out
And the dvd only came out in 2004
The guy in the back us rocking short shorts and a tambourine.
Don't you feel he's just pointless, his tambourine wasn't linked to a microphone. He must have been a mate tagging along. Otherwise why is he there ?
@@deanwarde7126 he's got a bunch of percussion instruments in front of him so I don't think he just popped in to shake the tammy for a couple of minutes. As for the shorts, well, we all had a pair of those in 1985
The Organ is lit

Paul Weller My brother in law loved you…
Wow
Love Weller but still can't get into TSC. Tight band though!
As a kid...I would hear THE STYLE COUNCIL name being thrown about and thinking it sounded like people were going on about some kind of counsil of stylist that were made up to tell people how to dress...Like some sort of PSA commercial..."BROUGHT TO YOU, BY THE STYLE COUNCIL!" 😂😂😂
Advising you to wear stay-pres trousers, nice jumpers, gold chains, and loafers, and white jeans. And Fred Perry shirts. And white socks, for fucks sake.
Well he has been a uk fashion icon
@@thiscorrosion900 What's it like being a shallow fool?
1:49… It's DC time😄
I swear I have Paul Weller dwelling inside me....mmmmm sounds naughty😇🙏😁
That brief moment communism seemed like a COOL idea
Weller's a chief

Stalin was certainly an internationalist
@@strontiumdog3344 Not as described in the lyrics of this song.
Marcus Miller on bass. Niiiice.
No, the bassist was actually Camille Hinds, originally part of UK soul band Central Line.
@@mojo-media ha - never realised he used to be in Central Line! A great Brit Funk band. Lol @ the Marcus Miller comment 😂
I think Lenny henry was a guest vocalist on our favourite shop album I bet Weller regret it after his stupid comments in the media this week I preferred the singles the album had too much experimental format too many guest vocalists not like the jam albums
Paul rulez.

佐野さんのが先なのでこちらがパ○リですね。
How I wish The Jam were still together by this point. That would have been one hell of a gig. Love Weller but TSC was not a strong point in his career IMO.
If he had stayed in the Jam he would not have grown as a musician. I also loved the Jam but he had a lot more success with TSC and had some very strong lyrics (like all the songs he played at Live Aid) which got an audience that would otherwise never have listened to songs with an overtly political message. Ofc you can argue many of TSC fans didn't really listen to the lyrics anyway but that's true of any band.
I'm glad he did it, but also glad he has kept moving. Still creating awesome music in 2020.
Thankfully, no one gives a toss about what you think.
If only the Jam did Live aid instead of this pap. Fucking awful group, I reckon Foxton and Buckler were shaking their heads at this.
Idiot
haha
A mess of a song.
A little bit
Where the hell is Steve's snare in this? That would go along way in adding definition. 🥁
Nah, that's just your sad, wretched, little life.
Rubbish record
Generic left wing band
Style council sucked
Then scroll on
No, that's just you. Off you f**k...

The champagne socialist Council ... singing to miners and Africans in shoes that cost more than they earn in a week or a year... 😅
Better a champagne socialist than a sucker cons or racist fascist fanatic who wears boots Dr Martens Bomber and Lonsdale “ a la mode”and swastikas tattooed on the chest!
