Now if this doesn't bring back some memories of high school.....WOW! This group was underrated then and still today. RIP Larry Hoppen....Great job Lance.
What a freaking unbelievable incredible great band. I love them back in the day but man I'm not sure I really knew just how good they were. No words can say how much I miss those days!
This is my favourite song by this fabulous band. They have inspired me as a musician since their first big hit " Dance with me " . I miss Larry Hoppen, he had the most wonderful soulful voice and his brother Lance does this justice in his memory. The whole band are such great musicians, long may they continue ! x
I LOOOOOOVE this song!!!!!!! I can't believe the original singer, Larry Hoppen, is dead 😢 & that this is his own brother Lance Hoppen singing! Does anyone realize how high a part this is for a guy to sing? And it's so rare to find a singer who's this age & can still hit those notes--WOW! Apparently, vocal talent runs in the Hoppen family. Lance, you did your brother proud! I adore this group! They all still sound soooo good!❤
Memories of a summer in 1979 at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh and listening to "Orleans" during batting practice. Six weeks later the Pirates would be World Series Champions.
I hold a torch up to this awesome.amazing.great men.how they play their instruments and ohhh my their voices lance!!!!i love listening to them ohhh hiz voice lance their voices just makez me wanna cry!i love you orleans...the memories i have with thid song and my favorite..dance with me my god. My favourite song from Orleans. Underrated group. I love how this live version sounds just as wonderful as the original recording. These gentlemen are fabulously charismatic. Hi from Toronto.
This clip needs more views!!! Oh my goodness. Great harmony, great instrumentation, and last but not least- wonderful, clear, sweet sounding lead vocals by Lance!!! Love it.
Make your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews... everyone you know listen to this, and it will live on SHARE, SHARE, SHARE you owe it to the next generations who think Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce Adele awful grande and the pseudo trash of today's so called music....
Recuerdo mi vida de estudiante 1982 iba hacia la universidad en un Bus Blue Bird aquí cancion a todo volumen. Nunca olvidaré aquel momento que me sentía en la Gloria 😂❤
This is a spectacular performance of a beautiful, amazing feel-good song. RIP Larry, but I think Lance does an even better rendition. You do tribute to your brother.
Agree with ya 💯% This band is still the one !!🎶🎵🎼💙 The harmonies are just perfect no other word to describe it!! Lance you did an awesome performance in tribute to your late brother Larry i know he's proud of you !!RIP larry
Loved some Orleans, John Hall , Wells Kelly and the Hoppen Bros. I think sometime in the mid to late 80’s the John Hall band had a good hit “Crazy “ Damn good tune
Most impressive considering how much harder it is to sing as you get older. Well done indeed. Absolutely love this song. I was 12 and it always reminds me of summer camp that year.
8-track thats what im talkin about I think it shows our age, Lol I miss those Record stores can spend hours inside them!! You guys are still the one and Lance you have a gifted singing voice from our Lord above keep it up guys!!RIP Larry you are missed!!
Just beauiful!!!Is that another Hoppen brother on the keyboard? Looks a bit like Larry..who we miss, greatly. The drummer must be given propps...he is handling this set with great panache!!This.... is still one of my favorites from Orleans.
I used to see Orleans at "A Salty Dog" in Ithaca 50-51 years ago....Larry and his brother were Music students at Ithaca College. Peter Giansante was Larry's roommate and a drummer from my neighborhood in Seneca Falls. I saw Larry, his brother, Dave Jenkins (Pablo Cruise) and Charley Morgan on drums back in the late 90's early 2000's at Universal Studios "Red White & Blues" concert series on Friday Nights...I went up introduced myself to Larry, he introduced me to Charley Morgan (I am a drummer playing for 55 years this year) and Larry and spoke about Peter Giansante and his band " Boffalongo" ...I heard Larry passed, RIP.
I love this song. Makes my heart happy that Lance carries on Larry's legacy

Don't know that I've ever seen a left-handed man play a right-handed guitar so well. Amazing!
I think Dan Seals played a right handed guitar upside down as well.
