Hi guys, on March 9th 2023 I got an update from Rad Power Bikes that they dropped the price on the RadRunner 3 Plus to $2,299 so I've updated the title and my full written review, and am pinning this comment :)
Court, you are the standard bearer for eBike reviews! Just so good- and it’s cool to watch how you keep refining over time. I’ve been a big fan for years.
Thanks for another comprehensive review. I am a big Rad fan having owned the original Rad Runner 1 and now the Rad City 5, which I love. But it seems to me that of late Rad is one step behind the field with their latest models. Lectric undercut the Rad Trike by $1000 and produced a trike that is a beast at hill climbing. I love Rad support but I hear that Lectric is pretty good on support, their bikes arrive fully assembled and I am questioning if a $1000 difference is worth the support and limited retail locations. I realize their are differences in components but for casual riders $1000 is hard to overlook. Now Lectric and Aventon have come out with cargo bikes, the Expedition and Abound respectively, that also undercut Rad's pricing for this bike. Aventon's Abound has a torque sensor, a color display and blue tooth app, 750 wall motor and many accessories plus a pretty extensive dealer network if one does not want to assemble an ebike. The Abound is $2200 vs $2.5 K for the new Runner 3. And Lectric has introduced their cargo bike with dual battery capability for $1699 and a staggering load capacity. I point this out because I really hope that Rad will regain its former innovation and step up their technology to match a rapidly advancing market. Hopefully the next iteration of Rad's cargo bike will reposition them as leaders in the value field. Just my two cents! Keep up the good work as I really look forward to your reviews.
Was gonna mention Lectric but you beat me to it. RadPower emailed me to say that their Runner 3 will hold a 2nd battery but I see that it's still in the works. Meanwhile, Lectric's XPedition comes in at $1700 and is equipped with 2 batteries claiming a range of up to 150 miles. This Runner 3 is already over $2100 with only 1 battery. What are they gonna charge for a 2nd one? and even with two, it doesn't look as though they'll match Lectric's range. I share your concern, if that's what it is, that RadPower is going off-course a bit. Their appeal to me was the right balance of quality at a reasonable price point. Now, it's beginning to feel as though they're trying to go more upmarket into the Tern bracket of e-bikes which would be a shame, IMO. If RadPower had 2 batteries on this bike it would still be $400 more than the XPedition? How do they justify that?
Wow that price is getting out of control. I still have my Rad Runner 1 which I paid 1199 for a couple of years ago. Upgraded the controller for substantially more power and its been running great for 2500 miles.
Nice! Glad to hear it's holding up. Yeah, I've seen prices all over the place with ebikes in recent years. It takes a while to plan and source these things, especially with supply chain. This model feels a bit pricier, but it's also nicer in a lot of ways. Glad they still sell some of the cheaper RadRunners.
it will be for 2023 ..you got keep in mind development costs of figuring what they want and getting there china partners to build tweak there frame for there needs ...then there new motor here no longer BAFANG deal ....there some other company they have new deal making there new motor or tweaking it for them ... So just like any new hardware and tech ...the newest thing and cost of it often over priced because they need to cover to development cost .. It will come down on price as all Rads have over the years ..... In my opinion Wait till black friday ......always wait buy Ebikes on black friday then your get better value of what it really costs and worth like everything
I've had this bike for a couple of weeks and been learning more and more about it. Your video is so incredibly thorough. I should have watched this first!
Looks good. Im waiting for rad to get out the 20mph speed to something more faster. I love this design, its like my rad expand and the two young men was very nice and helpful in the video. Great review ElectricBikeReview.
Thanks Dan! I agree, they improved a lot of little things for this one. Being able to remove the battery if you have the locking console box. Being able to key that box to match the hardshell locking box and panniers, the longer rear rack that fits the big Ballard Bags, even making the motor climb faster. Lots of attention to detail :)
Fantastic value. I really enjoyed my Rad2 but quickly outgrew it and replaced it with a Trek Allant 7. It's just way too heavy, and it doesn't easily fit my bike carrier. I had to spend extra for a proper seat, suspension post, and hydraulic breaks.
Oh man, it sounds like you manually created your own RadRunner 3 Plus by purchasing the parts yourself! Hope you're enjoying it. The Trek Allant 7 is also a wonderful ebike :)
Glad to hear it! Sounds like you've taken good care of it. Rad has the parts and support in place for these ebikes to last. I'm curious how you use yours?
As a dog owner that bought a RC5+, I'm pretty irritated about it's exclusion from the trailer. So what am I supposed to do? Sell my bike I just bought a year ago to take a loss, buy a new bike, go through all that again, just to take my dog out with me? This really sucks. Doesn't feel good, and makes me really regret buying the bike now. I love my dog and I'd love to take her everywhere with me.
I am a Rad 5 fat tire owner. I LOOOOOOOOOVE it.......While I know it's a new model, it doesn't have enough features over previous Runners to justify that price. I am seeing a real softening in e-bike (and "acoustic" bikes) pricing. At least they haven't jumped as a high as Sondors. Post-Pandemic there has never been more choices with lots of solid entry-level bargains......oh, and don't forget the re-sale market....lots of people bought e-bikes as another toy that turned into a garage queen
@Southcoast Horizon I upgrade my bikes. My plus has about 200 plus miles with my upgrades. This new bike has a weight load of 350.lbs. I can add so much more to it. When I work doing deliveries I can carry more and make more money.
Me too, it's actually a really fun bike to ride around with! Kind of crazy how many mounting options and accessories they have now. I would have loved to have this as a kid before I got a car... but it's still really fun as an adult, and I find that I ride more often and do more with this type of bike :)
I hope it last longer than my Rad Runner 1 and my wife's rad mini. Ours are 3years old and have a little over 3000 miles on them and I've had to replace both main gears in the motors, the chains, her detailer and tires. We have also had 8-10 flat tires. Battery has no where close to 800 cycles, and the range has gone down to around 15 miles. That's just one morning ride. We love the styling of the Rads, they just have not held up.
Oh man, that's really lame. Not what I was expecting. My parents both got RadRovers years ago and my Dad has taken his all over the US on his RV, riding dirt paths, seawalls, city streets, and no problems so far. He got Tanus Armor for his tires and upgraded the handlebar etc. maybe he got lucky with his battery? Here's a video we shot about it, in case you're curious about it. He usually doesn't go on camera ua-cam.com/video/uTOlZz3uOnM/v-deo.html
Oh gosh. I'm slowly approaching that amount of miles, and haven't had to replace anything. Maybe you've got bad luck with bikes, and I've got good luck? Either that, or I'm due! I really should replace my balding tires, but they still grip well enough, so /shrug
Hello Court. I'm shopping for my first eBike, and really enjoyed your review of the Radrunner 3 Plus. This looks like a good choice for my needs/wants. I'm also considering the Aventon Abound. Do you have any plans to review this bike in the near future? Your reviews are so much more detailed and informative than anything else I can find. Thanks.
Hey Court, thanks for this amazing review. I was going to buy the Radrunner Plus and just saw this popping up on the European Onlineshop. Would you say I should invest the extra 500€ to buy the 3 or just stick to the regular one? Thank you!
Howdy! That's a great question. I personally would, because I like the ability to use the longer panniers. The battery design is way better, and I think I'd like to have a USB up front and in the back. Most of the other features are similar enough... though this motor is said to climb 10% faster. As a light weight person, and someone who tends to make the best of cheaper things... I could definitely be happy with the older RadRunner Plus, but I love the refinements they did here, and I could justify the money because I ride a lot and allow myself to spend more money on things that are "healthy" or positive, if that makes sens.
Not in market for new bike ....But the Trailer i would be very interested buying for my current bike ...and interested to see if someone try put the cargo side box on the radrunner 1 to see if can fit if push it to very back .... The range extender was never mentioned i think that might it biggest selling point
Hi Court, does the 750 watt motor rating on this bike refer to its maximum power output or does it put out a higher wattage while under a higher load? I have a Canadian Radmini (2018) with a 500 watt motor, however, when I look at the wattage output while climbing hills, the output only gets to 499 watts. I am wondering why this is. I would be interested in this bike if in fact a 500 watt rated motor would be capable of putting out a maximum of 650 watts or higher. Always enjoy your reviews.
Hi Errol! I suspect it’s peak output. The legal limit in Canada is 500w and 750w in the US. Interesting that it sounds like they set the limit to 499 just to be safe in your example. Peak torque is 64nm from what I understand, and that may be constant from country to country :)
@@ElectricBikeReview If it has 64Nm it's very likely that it is a native 500W motor. All the 750W motors have over 80Nm. But thats again a point, what makes the bike even cheaper to the competition.
Go to any bike shop and they will sell you some hydraulic brakes. This isn't a car with a lot of proprietary parts. all the mechanical parts of this bike, can be replaced with whatever you want.
Great to see a review from cory again, dude was the first ebike and scooter reviewer and the best to do it on UA-cam for years..I been riding these toys in Brooklyn for the last 12 years..I brought all my toys on Cory's advice..great guy..just gave away the new unused 12 year old go motorboard electric scooter I wanted to give to him to give to sam(another first), but dedent no his Brooklyn revisit. Just great to see another review from the best..
Are the battery and battery charger both UL certified? It would be useful if you would discuss this with any review because e-bike battery fires are making the news.
Hmm... I like what @J Coats said. These are great bikes for the money, and you benefit from the many accessories, customer support, and resale value if you move on at some point. The key difference for me with the RadRunner, even the older ones, is that the saddle goes up and down for better pedaling. I would still pay more for the extra gears, so maybe the RadRunner Plus? If you don't need the fat tires or utility setup or fenders or lights... there are many affordable folding electric bikes out there for around $1k, just try to get one from a decent company that has parts. I actually wished I had spent more on my first ebike back in 2011, because I used it so much.
Thank you. You do such a great job with you videos. We have a Radwagon 4 and I'm wondering if a radruner 3 is a good addition. Both have 20 in. wheels. Can they be swooped? It's 20x3 for Rw4 and 20x3.3 for Rr3. I wonder if they can share the same tires. I would also hope that I can install the semi integrated battery on my Rw4. Would be nice if I can swoop batteries too. Rw4 uses the old battery.
Like a person below I was going to give my Rad Runner to my daughter this year and look at buying a shiny new Rad Runner Plus around August but this new model does have me scratching my chin. Yes it is a bit more expensive but you may have noticed that everything you go to buy currently has gone up in price. The thing that is winking at me is that you can carry another battery easily above the rear wheel and double the range. That would be great. However I will watch and need to wait and see what price are they going to ask for that spare/extra battery? 🤔. Any chance they might drop the price here in the UK? A spare battery for either the Rad Runner or the slimmer built in style is £515. Thanks to Brexit 👿 the £ has fallen through the floor so our £ is worth almost the same as the dollar or euro so no need to get a currency converter out 🤣
all good questions .... Keep in mind 2023 .NEW Model bike ...... development costs of figuring what they want and getting there china partners to build tweak there frame for there needs ...then there new motor here no longer BAFANG deal ....there some other company they have new deal making there new motor or tweaking it for them ... So just like any new hardware and tech ...the newest thing and cost of it often over priced because they need to cover to development cost .. It will come down on price as all Rads have over the years ..... In my opinion Wait till black friday ......always wait buy Ebikes on black friday then your get better value of what it really costs and worth like everything My advice to everyone who looking to buy ebike ...WAIT till Black Friday ....promise you that your get what real price of it is as try to clear stocks ....Last black friday it was brand new Classic Rad 1 for £800 ....i brought one 7 months early second hand for £750 .....so i learned lesson ..wait till black friday your get your money worth then
Any reason for concern regarding the 64 Nm of torque? It seemed a lot lower than other bikes in this class. Even the rad mini step thru had 80 Nm. Thanks in advance!
I just saw that! Nice... it looks pretty interesting, I'm curious about the seat post. It looks like a dropper or something? Maybe I will get to cover it, right now I'm actually buried with 10 other bikes and doing a site redesign project. I feel a little behind to be honest. I prioritized the Specialized Tero X and RadRunner 3 Plus since I had covered prior versions and had some insights to bring. Looks like the Aventon Abound is first generation compact cargo/utility. Pretty sweet, I think they do a good job too.
Thank you for all the great info! Curious... how do you think the bike would do on soft and hard beach sand? Also, would it be fine for some fireroad type mountain biking?
I am wondering how loud the motor from the Radrunner is. There is a sale on the RadRhino 6 for 1400€ and the Radrunner 3 Plus goes for 2500€ but I could get the passenger seat for my girlfriend. I think I would spend the extra grand but is the Radrunner that much louder then the RadRhino ? (And like is it as an e scooter loud or is it annoyingly loud? )
Hi Kristen! Yeah, this Plus model comes with the front and rear lights, the fenders, and the suspension fork! The boxes, bags, and trailer would cost extra though. I think the price makes sense for a feature complete bike from a well known company that offers good support. The product is well done and I would not be disappointed buying one for myself... which is why my parents both bought RadRovers a few years back. Both still run great, my Dad has even taken his on off-road trips with his RV! Here's the video we shot ua-cam.com/video/uTOlZz3uOnM/v-deo.html
They are losing the freaking mind to price this bike at $2.5K? especially after the cargo bike quality recall? There are so many under 3K cargo bike out there would eat this for sure.
I think so, I found one by searching online and put a screenshot in the video. Here's what I found: www.radpowerbikes.com/products/electric-bike-kickstands?variant=32606600396896
Hello everyone in the comments i have a question i have no drivers license but i want to consider using a ebike for commuting to work is this a good choice?
The centerscreen is nice but the grip button-screen is horrible why do you need a massive number 5 there? And why the difference in brightness the whole settup would look better one or the other not both. Put the mph on the grip or just have the old buttons? Very odd decision from rad. I like the new frame style and battery 👍
Very well said @Tim Scott. I tried my best to present the hardware objectively, but I've had these same thoughts and always hoped it would become more clear why they separated them. I also dislike that the USB is not built in anymore... but they kind of won me back with the daisy chain dongles. It's really tough to make a beautiful high quality product and have it be profitable. Business is challenging, especially with supply chain, investor demands, and competition. I get mixed feelings on these topics because I think Rad Power Bikes is such an excellent company with a special origin story and history. They are like 15 years old right now (older than my own site by a few years). It's crazy.
The new Mopeds kill ebikes by about 5 times over. Weight the same, but have 100 mile ranges at 32mph, instead of 20 mile ranges at 20mph. etc. Oh, and they cost a tiny fraction of ebikes.
There's no way a 14ah battery on a 76lb bike plus rider and gear is getting a 45 mile range. Cut that in half, at least. I have an 18ah battery with a 750W rear hub motor and I get about 25 in real world conditions. I like the look of this bike. Great utility bike but at $2300, I dont think theres enough here. I bought a 1699 ebike with the specs above. Not as cool design, for sure but does exactly the same thing.
Hi Kevin! I plan to do another video about the trailer and pet carrier a bit later. Basically there's a little metal tube that mounts to the left side of the rear axle. It comes with a replacement nut and that black tube piece acts as a thick washer. Then the trailer arm connects to that tube, so you can remove the trailer easily anytime. It's just like this: amzn.to/3ENV0Zy
Thanks Court. There's so much competition in this space now that Rad is no longer dominating it like it used to. Now there's much more for the consumer to consider. It shows how far the industry has come.
It really does! There are some great options out there now. I wish I could cover every single one them and do comparisons and stuff to be thorough and consistently compare between models and companies... I have more competition now too as a reviewer! It's actually really neat to see the other in-depth videos, and I'm kind of grateful that I've got some help out here :D
There is a reason the used market on these is so hot - the new bikes are just way way overpriced compared to the competition. It’s beyond saturated now
This new radrunner 3 is way too expensive considering my radrunner 1 costed €1199... Really like my radrunner 1 but when it's worn out and needs replacement I'am not returning to rad powerbikes... The price of the radrunner 3 is ridiculous when you compare it with the Lectric Expedition costing only US 1399. Or the Tiido t1 cargo pro with hydraulic brakes and 20 wh battery for €1699...
There was a survey they did on Instagram a few weeks ago with new colour options and they had some nice ones in there. There was a nice mustard yellow and other really good ones too
Should be called rad minus. Downgraded lights, no passenger package, kickstand downgrade, should be color lcd display with volts /percentage options, increased price.mmmmmm……? Nah. Not sure what Rad is thinking. Seems like the other economy range manufacturers like Aventon and Lectric are outpacing and outperforming rad. Rad needs a new design team and stop putting all their eggs in their Customer Service department. If that’s the case then make the warranty a 2 year warranty.
Might be a great bike if it was $16-1700 , but rads are traditionally under powered , and its only a single suspension bike , plus imo , its fairly ugly (looks like something sombody built in their garage) so for $2400 it doesnt even come close to comparing with a cr ovia ( better battery , better range , better fork , better top speed , dual suspension and way better looking) , imo rad needs to step up their game and lower their prices if they want to stay relevent , jmo , just sayin
I like how it's modular... the trailer, bin, and pet insert. There are a lot of little details that I didn't get to cover since this was just meant to be a bike review. Maybe I'll go more in depth with another video. Agree, some of the stuff is getting pricier, but it's also getting nicer :D
I think Rad has above average support, especially with their flagship stores. The vans have gone away, but they still work with Velofix delivery vans. I'd rather have a company adapt and survive to continue selling replacement parts and accessories than go away, and these past couple of years have thrown some curve balls at a lot of companies... I see where you're coming from though, it is more expensive. Nice that they still sell some of the older models for less :)
The motor was a bit louder than I expected, definitely noticeable… but it’s also very powerful. I think they will still be selling the RadRunner 2 and original RadRunner Plus that cost less.
DON’T BUY FROM THEM. total scam of a company. I had the roadrunner plus for a little more than one year and the battery died. Took two months to convince customer service to send a new one (under warranty). Finally they told me they will send it but it’s not in stock and they don’t know when it will be again (!!!). Would not recommend it’s an overpriced piece of garbage.
You can get a blade 2 for the same price which blows this bike out of the water. The only thing this bike has over most is the cargo capacity. 3 grand for a buggy semi-integrated battery, hydraulic brakes and what else over its rr+ predecessor? No thanks.
I am confused as to why anybody would buy this, its way more expensive than the competition for worse specs. for $1900 you can get an Aventon Aventure, or even better an Ariel Rider Kepler. both are faster and have bigger batteries. both have better components, not seeing any real value here. rad doesn't have the reputation or components on it to be considered a premium brand commanding that much of a price gap.
See what that cost you're going up to comparing it to the blix and this is nothing compared to those bikes they carry more they're more well built better brakes why would you buy this bike
Hi guys, on March 9th 2023 I got an update from Rad Power Bikes that they dropped the price on the RadRunner 3 Plus to $2,299 so I've updated the title and my full written review, and am pinning this comment :)

Btw this comment is not pinned

Yup. That price is pretty tough to justify with so much more competition.
For that price you can get a hyper scrambler that has three times the battery range and way more additional things.
Same I paid about $1200. I don't see anything on this new ebike that would justify spending more.
These type of bikes are the
Future if we can get to manufacturing
Them and service them here
Great Videos EBR 🚲👀🥇
Thanks BRAXTON! Hope you're having a good day. On to a bright, friendly future 😎

Hey, thanks @wishbone1231! I do my best. The RadExpand is pretty nice. I agree it would be cool if they started offering Class 3 ebikes someday :D
Good review; thank you. It looks like some nice steady improvements by Rad.
Thanks Dan! I agree, they improved a lot of little things for this one. Being able to remove the battery if you have the locking console box. Being able to key that box to match the hardshell locking box and panniers, the longer rear rack that fits the big Ballard Bags, even making the motor climb faster. Lots of attention to detail :)
Excited about the fat-tire cafe lock! Are there any more details on launch date or specs? I can't find it anywhere on their website
Thank you for putting the weight of the bike at the beginning of the review! I wish more reviewers did that.
Sure thing, I also double checked the weight myself and list a bunch more details at electricbikereview.com/rad-power-bikes/2023-radrunner-3-plus/

I'm still using my RadRunner 1 on a daily basis. Great bike.
They improved so much. I have a rad runner plus and I'm gonna get this bike this summer. I just don't know where I'm going to put it
Why? Keep the plus and just use that
@Southcoast Horizon I upgrade my bikes. My plus has about 200 plus miles with my upgrades. This new bike has a weight load of 350.lbs. I can add so much more to it. When I work doing deliveries I can carry more and make more money.

great to see Radpower increasing the quality of their bikes
And you pay for it
I also prefer these utilitarian bikes for both practicality and functionality.

I really should replace my balding tires, but they still grip well enough, so /shrug
i am so happy with my rad runner plus.
Get the plus instead. More bang for Buck and serviceable battery
Not in market for new bike ....But the Trailer i would be very interested buying for my current bike ...and interested to see if someone try put the cargo side box on the radrunner 1 to see if can fit if push it to very back ....
The range extender was never mentioned i think that might it biggest selling point
Nice just don't know which one to get as for my shopping. The RadRunner 3 or the Radster Rad Power Bike?
Does this have a frame cafe lock? where is the accessory available?
Great review, nice job! By the way, I loooooove the environment you're at, OMG ❤️
Rad should offer a hydraulic brake retrofit kit for the rad runner 1 plus
Go to any bike shop and they will sell you some hydraulic brakes. This isn't a car with a lot of proprietary parts. all the mechanical parts of this bike, can be replaced with whatever you want.
@@Benjamin_Jehne my shop said they would charge me $600 lol. I was like wut
@@disciprine They wanted to gut you.
I asked about this and was told that they exceed UL requirements but have not yet completed certification.
Ordered RADRUNNER 3 plus today. Hoping the weight thing isn’t going to me make feel it I was concerned about that and that put me off the RADRUNNER 4
Rad- Range extender and UL testing certification please!!!
Over my budget. i am looking for a good one but price should be anywhere from 1.5k to 2k max. I would appreciate your advice.
Just get the Rad 2 and buy a used one
Keep in mind
2023 .NEW Model bike ...... development costs of figuring what they want and getting there china partners to build tweak there frame for there needs ...then there new motor here no longer BAFANG deal ....there some other company they have new deal making there new motor or tweaking it for them ...
So just like any new hardware and tech ...the newest thing and cost of it often over priced because they need to cover to development cost ..
It will come down on price as all Rads have over the years .....
In my opinion Wait till black friday ......always wait buy Ebikes on black friday then your get better value of what it really costs and worth like everything
My advice to everyone who looking to buy ebike ...WAIT till Black Friday ....promise you that your get what real price of it is as try to clear stocks ....Last black friday it was brand new Classic Rad 1 for £800 ....i brought one 7 months early second hand for £750 .....so i learned lesson ..wait till black friday your get your money worth then
Any reason for concern regarding the 64 Nm of torque? It seemed a lot lower than other bikes in this class. Even the rad mini step thru had 80 Nm. Thanks in advance!
Nice review, but that price... yikes. I love my RadRunner 2, but currently, Lectric bikes seem to be a much better value.
Are you gonna do a video on the new aventon ebike as well?
I just saw that! Nice... it looks pretty interesting, I'm curious about the seat post. It looks like a dropper or something? Maybe I will get to cover it, right now I'm actually buried with 10 other bikes and doing a site redesign project. I feel a little behind to be honest. I prioritized the Specialized Tero X and RadRunner 3 Plus since I had covered prior versions and had some insights to bring. Looks like the Aventon Abound is first generation compact cargo/utility. Pretty sweet, I think they do a good job too.
Hello. Can you just plug in anywhere and charge the battery ? - Indoors ?
i dont understand why they swapped the kickstand from the radrunner 2 to the rad 3 plus. i love the one o0n the 2!
(And like is it as an e scooter loud or is it annoyingly loud? )
Did the light come with the package, or was it an upgrade? Do you think it's worth this price point?
20:00 From this it seems you can readily peddle up to 12/13mph, even thought it is 75lbs.
awesome review, thanks!
The locking hard shell panniers are nice, as are the hydraulic brakes (finally). But at this price the bike is too expensive
I like the locking boxes a lot too. Got to see a prototype a year or two back and was very excited! Finally get to talk about them :P
They are losing the freaking mind to price this bike at $2.5K? especially after the cargo bike quality recall? There are so many under 3K cargo bike out there would eat this for sure.
The fact there charging only 200 less then hyper scrambler 2 with 3 times the battery is wild
Also, can you get a stand that has 2 legs like on the Radwagon? I though I saw it in the photo with the trailer.
I think so, I found one by searching online and put a screenshot in the video. Here's what I found: www.radpowerbikes.com/products/electric-bike-kickstands?variant=32606600396896
but is it good for wheelies? 🤔
Very nice review. New subscriber. Thanks.
Are the batteries UL approved?
Hello everyone in the comments i have a question i have no drivers license but i want to consider using a ebike for commuting to work is this a good choice?
Check your local laws it's legal where I'm at been using it for a little over a year
The centerscreen is nice but the grip button-screen is horrible why do you need a massive number 5 there?
It's crazy.
Are they shipping to Hawaii yet?
I'm not 100% sure, but I do not think they ship to Alaska or Hawaii.
A boombox?
it's way too expensive for what it actually offers, even in this economy
I think I’ll pass on the price 😅
Very nice review
Check the magicycle deer mini steph thru same price like this but its a beast over all
High quality stuff.
Kawasaki 230 vs this... huh?? Thanks for the review tho, nice.
They stole my box mounting idea 😭 I wanted to see how the trailer mounted. 🤔
It’s beyond saturated now
The price is absurd. Rad has officially lost their mind.
I know right? For an ebike... At this price point I would put that money towards a Honda Ruckus.
Ich think the same. Rad is trying to sell premium, but the bikes are just entry level.
At $2500, I'd have to spend an extra $500 and buy a mid-drive bike which weighs much closer to 50 lbs.
Too expensive. I’m waiting for them to release new colors for the radrunner 2 or a radrunner 3
That's cool! Which colors would you like to see Philippe :D
There was a survey they did on Instagram a few weeks ago with new colour options and they had some nice ones in there. There was a nice mustard yellow and other really good ones too
I just sold my 2 radrunners. This bike does not improve enough. Not for this price.
No rear shock, it’s a big mistake at this price point!
You can buy a whole pet trailer for less than the price of the Rad pet insert. They really need to work on their value.
I like how it's modular... the trailer, bin, and pet insert. There are a lot of little details that I didn't get to cover since this was just meant to be a bike review. Maybe I'll go more in depth with another video. Agree, some of the stuff is getting pricier, but it's also getting nicer :D
2500 for a bike from company with disappearing support? When previous model started at 1300$? Hahahahahahahaha. No.
Hydraulic brakes bro!
@@cvshav I have been riding my radrunner 1 for more then two years with hydraulic brakes. Costed me €70. The price for the radrunner 3 is ridiculous.
Are you even aware of certain global pandemic that started in 2019?
hahaha@u
@@mandrade5611 Are you even aware that that nobody cares and its still stupid expensive?
I like it except for the motor noise and it being $500 over priced
The motor was a bit louder than I expected, definitely noticeable… but it’s also very powerful. I think they will still be selling the RadRunner 2 and original RadRunner Plus that cost less.
6:53 Not sure how you can say that $2500 is "value priced", but I am guessing you are getting paid for this video.
Looks like a toy
DON’T BUY FROM THEM. total scam of a company. I had the roadrunner plus for a little more than one year and the battery died. Took two months to convince customer service to send a new one (under warranty). Finally they told me they will send it but it’s not in stock and they don’t know when it will be again (!!!). Would not recommend it’s an overpriced piece of garbage.
Poor Rad, this is just bad timing and priced way too high considering the competition has really stepped up their game.
You can get a blade 2 for the same price which blows this bike out of the water. The only thing this bike has over most is the cargo capacity. 3 grand for a buggy semi-integrated battery, hydraulic brakes and what else over its rr+ predecessor? No thanks.
Good review, overpriced bike
I am confused as to why anybody would buy this, its way more expensive than the competition for worse specs. for $1900 you can get an Aventon Aventure, or even better an Ariel Rider Kepler. both are faster and have bigger batteries. both have better components, not seeing any real value here. rad doesn't have the reputation or components on it to be considered a premium brand commanding that much of a price gap.
Too bad they will not use a pinion gearbox... Yeah sure, that alone is $1200....
See what that cost you're going up to comparing it to the blix and this is nothing compared to those bikes they carry more they're more well built better brakes why would you buy this bike
