Paint job looks excellent. However, Good size nicks, in the helmet. How deformed is the foam inside? I wouldn’t wear it. Use it for cosmetic purpose. Unless you have a $10.00 head.
Thank you! Helmet is very old, more than 30 years old, but really strong. Foam is native in excellent condition.Helmet was made for my client and he is using it now.

I spent a few years as a super bike racer, and was told that good advice.
“Spend on your helmet what you think your head is worth.” I said “mines worth $150.”😂🤘🏻

Thanks! Yes, I agree with you, the helmet is not suitable for use. But I sold it and that guy wanted to use the helmet for its intended purpose ☺️
Hi! Hope Im not too late with this comment, but what do you use for the final coating? Resin? Plastic coating? It looks so nice and shiny! Would surely be helpful for my guitar project! Thanks
Hi! Of course not too late. The final coat is a ceramic auto clear coat (jeta pro high gloss 5517) and I also like how it looks
Jurian, I build and mod guitars,
and if you have a gun I’ve had great luck with that Duplicolor auto clear coat lacquer you get from Auto Zone. It’s ready to shoot without mixing or thinning, and it acts right if you want to mix in some candy or pearl pigment, which is the only reason I use that. Otherwise, I just use regular old rattle can lacquer.
Side note,
The biggest hurdle I’ve had to date is making absolutely sure your paints are compatible with each other. Between primer, base, whatever mid paints, and final clear, I’ve learned the hard way, if one of those doesn’t like any of the others, the whole thing goes tits up.

wow), I am very pleased to hear that)!!. I specially covered everything with a primer. A thick layer to hide any irregularities on the surface, and then I sanded
