What I love about cole is he’s become a father figure in the rap game for those who have come up after him. From my perception, based off what I’ve heard and seen he’s made room for the people around him to grow and shine. A lot of other rappers snake people and use them for personal gain to stay up. Cole on the other hand, seems to be a real example of investing in others and sharing the wealth. You can also tell it’s helped his longevity in his career. Anyways It’s just really cool that a lot our favorite rappers show him that respect and love.
Cole is everything. I'm from Wilmington NC home of Michael Jordan and hour and a half from Fayetteville and I can tell you NC is proud of you Cole. You are one of the coldest producer lyricist and artist period. My favorite ever. Love yours and Grown Simba kept moving.
Jcole is genuinely my role model, I dream of being able to be like him. I grew up listening to his music which taught me so much of what I now know, I learned lessons before I had to go through them in person, like I am a white guy who grew up in a good neighborhood, but the people I grew up with were never as lucky and I realized that after a long time, I had always thought that people lived just as good as I did. When I would listen to cole's music it felt like I was hearing their voice which gave me the ability to use my voice to speak up for my homies yk. I love them fr and Cole helped me catalyze that feeling.
The Revenge of The Dreamer 3 sessions must've been so much fun to be a part of. Definitely would've loved to witness the work they put in during that time
This was a great video. Props to you. Thanks for puttin’ in the work. You can hear the respect in your voice & the editing & clips were on-point. Usually the coverage on something like this is… eh; Well, you know. J. Cole is that guy! Love & peace to all 💚
Can’t wait to see were Cole is at a decade or two from now. I’d love to hear another mixtape of his like the old ones. The reason why his mixtapes were amazing is because he had the creative freedom and didn’t have to work with boundaries.
This was a really fun video to write and work on. I have followed Cole for 10+ years and his humility and hunger for what he does is almost unmatched. Looking forward to whatever The Fall Off is 🙏🏻👀
. .his recent feature run is one of the best in hip-hop ever, & his latest album (the off season) shows his pen game and rapping has improved, while experimenting with new flows which i think are the best of his career. he is now open to features which i personally feel limited the potential of some of his albums especially K.O.D. 2014 FHD is widely considered to be a classic but still argued against amongst some hip-hop heads. .i genuinely think 'the fall off' is going to be that undeniable classic.
Ive cried to a couple of songs but one of the songs ive cried to was "die hard" by kendrick lamar...the second verse literally teared me apart because of the emotion it had...i mean am only 20 at that point and doubting living out my adult years because it feels not worth it am single and i had to quit my 9t5 job which ive worked for 1 year and half i had to quit it for college i got to college and faced alot of changes but i hope every decision ive made so far will put me to the point i wanna be
since that cole saw this video he must come around the comment section. and what I wanna say is bro u got fans all over the world not just us or eu bro we need ur in Africa, morocco specifically anyhows procrastination was for fans i loved it. u are him really
As both a fan of Kendrick and Cole I would’ve love to been present at the Black Friday and HiiiPower session. Shoutout to Jeremy for this video; this has inspired to chase my dream even more in hopes to some day being classed up among the legends
Mockingbird brings tears to my eyes! As a professional and passionate rapper, I listen to many many artists and genres of any sort and personally (in private life) never let out tears or any sort of vulnerable emotion, but when I listen to mockingbird by eminem in solitude it really makes my heart crumble. only song.
Johnny's P Caddy Was in MY OPINION (For the UA-cam Lawyers)😂 , 2nd for verse of the year. Andre 3000 verse in Life Of The Party, DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE SPOKE ABOUT MORE
The constant pursuit to be a master at the craft, a true practitioner never sees themselves as reaching the top but instead sees a endless summit that has to be climbed. This clip should push us to constantly pursue whatever it is we are passionate about.
7:40 Cough Syrup/7 years/Whispers I run the three of them in a row in my playlist and when combined they amplify the ills I be facing with my life from past to present and future and the blurred lines of no seeming bridge
Song that kills me…at least lately: Feels Like Summer…my sons showed me the track when it came out…a few years later, they moved out as young men, and now that song makes me think of those kids when they were young brothas…reminds me of a time where I was much better mentally…it took me a minute to figure out this single father shit, and I was happy once I did…then I had to find myself again after they started their own journeys…and it was hard, because I got to be a young man just for a cup of tea before I was a father at 19…anyways, that’s my joint when I wanna connect with my inner sadness for some emotional relief 🙏
Last song made me cry was Trippie Redd- Underwater Fly Zone. I was goin thru some shit with a female I was dealing wit, and listening to that album all the way thru. Those last few songs had me tearing up and when underwater fly zone came out the tears just started to flow.
I dont think the Fall Off is going to be his last album, I think it will be the start of dropping whenever he wants like Kendrick can do. It's a natural next step for him and one almost every rapper does eventually.
4:00 where I’m at with rap , mimicking rappers tryna find my own sound , no community around me. Just me talking to myself through a mic and listening everyday tryna critique it. 22 I ah be 23 in 2 weeks. The older I get the scarier it is cause I never wanted to be the “30 year old rapper”. I wanted to blow young, leave a mark , and set a tone rappers would have to try n live up to forever. What’s Life Without Music ? What’s Life When you not living how you wanna live ?
For me it would be Em's Arose. But i definetly cried to Aunties Diaries by KDot, Heart Attack by Dave, You Never Know by Immortal Technique, and mb another Em's track, which is When I'm Gone.
What's the one J. Cole studio session that you would have wanted to be in the studio for?
Immortal from 4YEO
