As someone who has the set i would completely recommend to hardcore lego fans. I did get a little bit bored by the last cantina bag but after that i got to the cool side buildings
I bought this around release. The postal system messed up and the parcel got lost in transit. Lego support sent me a new one with express shipping which arrived. Over half a year later the missing one just stood at my door. I got 2 of these for the price of 1😄
Genuinely a great set with a lot of potential to add your own easter eggs/jokes. I have mine displayed with Starkiller and damaged Vader having a drink together
Great idea, I'm going to find a way to put a Minikit in the storage room. Or hidden somewhere in one of the additional buildings that comes with the Cantina.
I just purchased mine, hopefully. I get it, and everything goes through. Now all i need is the LEGO Millennium Falcon™ 75192 and the LEGO Star Wars 75059 Sandcrawler, which is retired but Amazon's my best friend. I have the Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder™ 75341 already, and it's gonna retire this year... Crazy how things retire, fast....
Best set I ever bought. One of the few real complete buildings. Super detailed. Enormous minifig count. Fun build. Reasonable price. I would recommend to any star wars fan.
Just don't use the episode IV characters and stormtroopers in your display then and put an alien behind the bar. The Mos Eisley cantina was already in business during the Clone Wars and it even features briefly in some episodes of the Clone Wars series.
there arent many places in the prequels that could get ucs.. most of the ucs potential in the prequels are ships. the jedi temple is too massive for an ucs, the senate is just as huge. maybe a pode racer stadium, but there isnt much happening there...
Having built a lot of SW sets I'd say the cantina was offered the best building experience. I prefer to build with bricks rather then plates and technic pieces as most SW sets have been reduced to these days. The minifigures were great although could have been improved on by removing C3PO, R2D2 and Chewie (because they get released so often and can't be repurposed) and replacing them with three more stormtroopers.
I own this set and I have to say that it is one of the best legos I have ever assembled, the minifigures are beautiful and it is really nice to display if you have space
I got this set back in December 2021, and I can thoroughly recommend it. The main build is substantial with a lot of extra bits, and the Minifigure collection has not only the key characters but several unique ones thrown in.
Even when this was $350, I felt buyer's remorse for what I got for the price tag. No Greedo arm print and lacking dual molded legs is a huge blow for what should in an adult collector's product. Still a great set, get it before it retires if you want, but know that you're surely paying the SW tax on it.
Pfff, some of you fucking collectors are so lame 💀 “No dual molded legs 🤓”, like that fucking matters. Sure it would’ve been cool if it came with him, but that one thing making you regret buying it is insane
i have this set in my living room and it’s my best set i can’t help but look and smile. you can place all kinds of minifigs in the cantina set up scenarios. beautiful set.
This cantina is genuinely one of, if not my most, favourite sets. It was such a fun build, and an incredibly process to modify a bit. In terms of Star Wars sets it is a very unique one in that is mostly about civilian life, and I wish so much that we would get more things like it. As the set currently sits on a shelf dedicated to only itself, I have given it a sandy ground to sit on, contracted a similar building to fill out the negative space (on the shelf itself) and greatly expanded the dining floor with more tables and figures. It is an incredibly lively set all the way through.
this is exactly how a star wars set should be. A Ton of Minifigs, some of them exclusiv, a great Building, which you can also Moc, and a decent pricepoint on the open market (i bought it for 319 euros in EU).
Not a huge Star Wars fan. Like the movies though. Bought the set some years ago mainly for the vibe it brings. Its just screams old school Star Wars. So, a great movie display set !
Yes. Same here. I’m not a hardcore Star Wars fan per se but I did enjoy all the movies and I just really liked the vibe of the set and minifigures here.
Probably the single best SW display and minifig set yet for cost, even over the Death Star. Adding an Obi-Wan hut house or two just sets it off and it’s fun to design new Mos Eisley buildings if you choose as the huts give plenty of parts.
I bought this set the year it came out and absolutely love it. It was my first UCS/MBS set and the build experience was amazing. Took me like 9 hours and loved every minute. Watching a few Star Wars movies while doing so helped too. 10/10 set
the reason the set isn't considered a ucs set is because it falls under the master builder sub theme. which mainly focuses on large builds of location and mass amounts of minifigures, unfortunately we haven't seen another master builder set. although there are rumors of a ewok village master builder set next year.
This year was rough, I got the UCS ATAT on May 4th since its also retiring this year, and I was planning to get the cantina soon, but then some rumours of Rivendell retiring this year came out of nowhere, and I dont know what to do. If Rivendell is retiring for sure, I'll prioritize it over the Cantina, but if it dont and I buy it because most people will say so, and I dont get the Cantina, I'm gonna be very sad. 😶
Have this set, was my first UCS, and it's great. The main building gets a little boring but the result is great. A must buy before retirement, this will explode in cost after that point.
I feel like this is gonna be an expensive set after it retires. I personally don't have much interest in it but I wouldn't be surprised if it at least doubles in price when it is gone
I got it before the price increase and, vip points for $300 and got the Luke Aunt GWP. For awhile I’ve felt regret and thought about selling, $300 is just stressful for me, but now that it’s going away I’m glad I had the chance to get it
I am with you, lookin at that Jabbas skiff and this together would be a lot of fun, but.... final price tag is a shocker and then where does it end....
Even if I bought ONLY the sets I REALLY want (which are the UCS Millennium Falcon, the UCS AT-AT, 75290 cantina and UCS Jabba's sail barge), it would cost me at least $2550, which is even more than what I paid for my next-gen gaming PC, with 32" 4k 144hz screen, $100 keyboard and $75 assembly included... If I have to chose between Legos and a good gaming PC, or between Legos and a driver licence, well my choice is done. I can't cut back on my primary needs just to buy Legos
This set is fantastic, I grabbed this on the May 4th sale this year. Interesting the part out is $717, however you can buy the build with no figs on Bricklink for around $200.
I really liked this video and I’ve been seriously considering buying this set. What’s funny though is I love that this video implies that we would have the money in the first place to afford it 😂 But anyways great video, I think I should save up for this real quick and get it cause this is the lowest price this thing will ever be
It would've been great to get even more minifigures like the wolfman (original 1977 version), duros, a better greedo (arm printing), but the ones we got were really good.
I obtained it from my grandma but my mother said no. Then I try to convince her to keep but I pay myself (because is getting discontinued). It didnt work , so now I am saving money and praying that is still avaible in any store for 6 months.(I get 50 bucks each month and now I have 100)
Recently bought with a £90 off RRP, bargain. Did notice that there are similarities with the folding design with the Batman Batcave Shadowbox. Another great set in my opinion.
Actually it is on the high side of UCS sets based off of piece count because most Star Wars UCS sets are not over 3,000 pieces. Look at the years past and there are more UCS Star Wars sets that are under 3,000 pieces than over 3,000 pieces.
I got this awesome set initally advertised during a black Friday sale at £241.25 in the UK from John Lewis, as I am a Partner at John Lewis I received a further 25% off the price and picked it up for £193.
I got this when it came out for 220 quid which is 288 dollars today, its a great set but they have bumped the price of it alot over the time of its production.
@@svensantesson2020 at the time i got it, the set was about 288 dollars translated from british pound which at the time was 350 dollars for the same set.

Good question! Hopefully they will run one more sale around Black Friday or during December so keep an eye out. The holiday season is when all the sales run.
This set is absolute gold . The build is amazing but the mini figs are off the charts
Totally agree. Amazing set!
Wrong conjunction
Expect a long hold though. So many "investors" is stacking it.
I own the set. And easily one of the best Lego sets out there.
BETTER than gold!!!!!!1!

Totally agree! This set will probably go down as one of the best sets in the Star Wars LEGO sets lineup.
8:43 this is a droid scanner which was also in the last rendition of the cantina
Oh. Got it. Thanks for letting me know!
Menu holder LOL
@@studebricker2845 😂 I guess I missed that one.
I couldn't watch past "menu holder or check-in screen". Couldn't help wonder how many other cool features might have been overlooked.
Have you ever seen the original Star Wars?
I really want a set like this for the prequel era. Maybe UCS Dexter's Diner?
It's really not as unique as the cantina. Maybe some lower-level coruscant building ?
Just don't use the episode IV characters and stormtroopers in your display then and put an alien behind the bar. The Mos Eisley cantina was already in business during the Clone Wars and it even features briefly in some episodes of the Clone Wars series.
