No need for the extra wiring just had to land the positive to accessory + which was just under the one you originally connected , with that the switch only comes on when you push the ignition button

This a 12" light bar.

Where did he install the relay

The relay was zip tied inside the center console with the rest of the extra wiring. Around 9:00 in this video is when the relay and rest of the wiring gets mounted.
