Is JAPAN the CHEAPEST & BEST F1 RACE?

- What makes the Japanese GP one of the best F1 races on the F1 schedule? The 2024 Japanese gp at the Suzuka circuit is one of the most amazing and cheapest F1 races on the 2024 F1 calendar. This old school F1 circuit presents real racing to die hard F1 fans. But is the Japanese GP the best F1 race to attend?

The crazy thing for me is, in the south west of England, it makes a great deal of financial sense to go to Suzuka to watch the gp, rather than silverstone in the U.K.
after you’ve accounted for ticket prices, you can justify the plane fare, and you’d have to eat sleep and drink around the track wherever you are anyway.
My partner and I are planning to go next year as my man maths has convinced her that it’s effectively a free trip to Japan in cherry blossom season!
i'll catch you there! (hopefully)
all hail our lord and saviour, maths man.
Got our tickets, my nephew is a huge F1 fan so this is his Christmas gift for a few years. 😊
Good to see the behind the scenes of Suzuka!
Last year the insect hotels at 'Buzzin Corner' were at turn 2. This year they've moved to their new permanent location at Yamada Bee Farm in Okayama.
I went to Suzuka in 1995 and the last race in Adelaide as part of a trip from the UK along with a trip to Perth which is where I grew up. There was an earth quake in Kobe early in the year and this meant the Pacific GP was postponed to a week prior to the Japanese GP. I extended my trip for another week.
You should have a look at the parking areas around the track. There are lovely JDM cars everywhere! Love the video 🫶
I'll check it out!
My favorite circuit of all time. I hope you enjoy this racing weekend, Kym.
Thanks, you too!
Suzuka is great. Enjoy the positive vibes from fans, travel a bit afterwards... I knew why there was a 2 week gap between Australia - all the drivers were in early, skiing in Hokkaido hanging out in Tokyo etc
Thanks Kim, great informative video, this race is definitely on my bucket list and your insights are a real treat, enjoy the race.
Thanks for the great vid Kim! I totally agree with you.
Suzuka Circuit is a good family oriented racetrack. Women can also safely watch the race alone. Fans do not get drunk and cause a commotion, so you can enjoy watching races with people who really like racing. Even after the race, there is almost no trash on the grandstands.
Lots of F1 videos, but yours are much better quality of content and editing. You guys keep getting better! Thanks!
Glad you like them!
my dream is to go to Japan- it feels like a family friendly safe enjoyable event. Thanks for this one Kym.
It really is!
Indeed it is. I went there in 1995 for the Pacific and then the Japanese GPs. At Aids they did not need security at the stands but they did so at Suzuka.
Some guys wanted me to swap seats but I had a decent view at turn 1 and they wanted me to move lower down. At Suzuka I was towards the back of the small first stand. My seat was the one closest to the first turn with just a walk way to my right. Some guy decided to sit on the walk way blocking my view. He got a tug on his coat along with a gesture to move away.
Don’t dream, do! It’s not as expensive as people think and the exchange rate is excellent. 😊
Desperate to get to Japan and with the new timing, tail end of ski season and cherry blossoms! Going to make it a a couple of week adventure!
You are a hard working man😀 Thank you for your videos😀
Thanks, I never stop
It looks like others involved in the F1 world enjoy your videos as well as getting in them.
Was just there. So true on the amateur photographers. Felt left out only using my smartphone. 😂
Got our tickets for 2005, so this is very useful thanks. 😊
Thank you Kym, as always, you make our enjoyment of F1 and life itself, much more enjoyable. Awesome. And Passionate.
Glad you enjoy it!
Have a fantastic weekend Kym 👏👍😀🏍
I think it is for the Legends Package that gives you a 1 day pass to the F1 Paddock itself, priority access to the podium ceremony in three days in the paddock club. At Suzuka it costs $8699. At every race I’m aware of it’s more expensive than that. At many other races it is much more expensive than that.
Paddock Club is $6399 which again is just about as low as it gets these days in F1 - not that that’s cheap but it’s a lot more money in some other races.
Similarly, less expensive for grandstand seats
Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark? I haven't heard that song in a long time.
Japan needs 2 races one at Suzuka start of the year & one at Fuji end of the year near Singapore and scrap bloody Miami USA doesn't need 3 races the fans are so much better in Japan
It's gonna be difficult because the F1 group is so biased toward the western hemisphere.
Back in 1995 there was a Pacific GP at Aida early in the year and the Japanese GP later in the year. There was an earthquake in Kobe and they postponed the race to a week before the Japanese GP. I had a trip planned for the Japanese and Australian GPs (the last race in Adelaide) so I extended my trip by a week to take in all three races in a trip from the UK that also includes a stop in Perth the city I grew up in.
Baku is up there on cheapest.....at least for Paddock Club
Bottas cycle on the same brand bike as the World Champion cycling Van der Poel.
Was that lance passing by when he was in catering😂💀 4:30
It was
Imola isn’t sold out this year. Canada is. Don’t go to Canada without a grandstand seat. GA isn’t worth the hassle.
Canada is cheap but yes, the general admission areas have too many trees obscuring vision as the cars are just blurs shooting past.
ur meme use is on point! hahahaa
Is there a way to get those white Red Bull caps? They are gorgeous
Hello Kym, can you do a POV video of your photography session during the race?
Current video from the track
Technically best race track
Another great video, dinner entertainment sorted.
Glad you enjoyed it
Imola is €90 for 3day general admission. Suzuka is an epic track but the transportation getting there if staying in Nagoya is a bit of a joke
Do NOT stay in Nagoya!
@@KymIllmanwhere do you recommend to stay then?
Where do you recommend staying if I were to watch the race?
When I went back in the noughties, it was a great weekend great value for money, but I think it’s too early in the year you could do with being in May ⁉️🤔
Thanks for sharing!
kym loves japan confirmed
Absolutely!
I thought Hungary was the cheapest ticket - no?
Lily is sooooo pretty!
How far is Twin Ring Motegi from Suzuka? Does Suzuka have a Honda museum?
Yes Honda racing museum but you had to have "reserve" your tickets beforehand.
Charles, Daniel, Carlos + 2024 = 🏆🏆🏆
John Travolta vibes 😆
Just a small comment Estabon pronunciation ... my Spanish friend is telling me "please tell Kym no B to be pronounced" he's not banned 😂
Who is Estabon?
Cheapest race is available globally. Sit back and legs up in a recliner. Full f1 coverage replays commentary from sky sports. Lights out and away we go....no weather issues crowds and missed action. Pit action and radio calls. Slomo. Pause for a loo break...Been to track and its not even close.
Depends where you are when I was I went to the Australian grand Prix I was standing just before turn 9 where almost every overtake happened there was a loudspeaker in front of me with commentary. the vibe and atmosphere where amazing after max dnf'ed.
Sure, if you want to hear the commentary of the boots kissing of Hamilton. 🤮
Nah F1tv is better than sky sports.
I would agree but being there in person is a completely different experience. The cars are so loud and raw in person. TV just doesn’t capture that.
OR attend the race then watch the weekend on replay when you get home and relive it.
is daniel washed up?
It’s simply too far away, otherwise I’d love to go.
Crazy traffic on roads and trains. You've been warned.
The lineup at the train station today to get away was mega. God knows how long those people had to wait.
Enola gay is the name of the plane that dropped the nuclear bomb little boy on Hiroshima.
Well, is it?
Did you watch the video?
Is that your son at the back? White shirt long hair!
It is
Great video except when George Russel is in it.
no support races... it gets very boring between the F1 outings ....
I was on the verge of a last minute purchase of a plane ticket from Perth to Japan but chickened out at the last minute when I saw the lines for transport from Nagoya to Suzuka are two hours BEFORE you get on the train, then it’s an hour to the track. Basically a day consists of 6 hours waiting in line or travelling and 4-5 hours at the track! Hmmmm…
Yep, we didn't have much of a wait for the Kintetsu from Nagoya to Shiroko. Just mainly the long wait for the shuttle to the track is what happened to us last year. But hopefully they improve it this year. 🤞
Omg, Enola Gay 💀
Horrible outfit Georgey
3rd!!!
Best ? Really ? So many other tracks are way better ,in my opinion spa is the best. cheap ? Really ? The ticket to go to Japan is so expensive ,that alone can buy me tickets in Miami
Maybe for you, but others located elsewhere it would make sense
the city of Suzuka is horrible, there is nothing there and the train station is a joke 😖
The most over rated GP it’s so dull yes a great track but lacks atmosphere
First !! I think the Japanese race is always eventful
