Amazing car, even old serie was perfect. Also, In my car I always open my top when I stop . Maybe some clutch mechanism can be vibrated and life time can be decreased.

BMW Fan thats funny, in Munich there arent people with those bmw’s, i work there at the dealer.
Limiters are a bit dumb. People who can do the speed (germans) should be able to and people who cant (anywhere else) will never go above 140mph anyway. I know there are some people that a crazy but limiter shouldn't be there imo.
Eurozone including post Brexit Britain will introduce blanket speed limiters on all cars in a couple years. Limiting cars to the speed limit. I hope it blows up in their overfed faces. Meanwhile I need to get a car before this shit happens
Most likely the limiters are for Pollution limiting in some zones

Nothing wrong with the old PS3 Michelins for this sort of car. They were far more rounded than Supersports in their day, the supersports being poor when it got cold and wet. It does make you wonder why they did not put new Michelin 4's on there though.
However that is not as amazing as the weight of this elephant ... 2100kg. That is just stupid.
The rise in car weights is quite sad. They are getting so heavy they have to add bigger wheels, tyres, brakes etc and that adds to the weight also.

The steel around the windscreen adds no rigidity. That's some bullshit. They only put that there in case the car flips it won't crush the passanger.
If you do not own the coupe, you do not feel, that the convertible has a little bit more weight 🤓
