Thanks Randy ! 👍🏻👊🏻🏍
Thanks again for another great video, after doing the entire process I have a soft brake lever, does this suggest I still have air in the system?
You might want to check the the dust seals, mine were pushing up and made the lever feel soft
@@johnharvey5338 what are the dust seals? Is it the dust caps??
@@TheRealRayzor no the dust seal is in the calliper, take the calliper off,, then the pads and push the pistons out a bit to clean, if you can push the back with your hand they are fine, if not it could be the dust seals pushing up against the piston, had this problem on mine which is why I know about this issue.
@@johnharvey5338 ok I understand, I will have a look at them.. I did remove the piston to clean them and the rubber seals so you might be correct. Thanks John
Hi, when your brake lever feels soft their is some air trapped in the system. Just check the 3 (!) Air screws and keep on pumping brake fluid through the system. Remember that air allways goes to the highest point. Sometimes it works by leaning the bike over 😉
Great video! Are Professional rights on the MotoScan App sufficient to do this procedure ?
Yes, absolutely
@@TheOldMechanic I see you own the Ultimate rights on-top.
Well let's see what is possible.
😊 thank you
You’re welcome 😊
Is there an option to check trouble codes/fault codes for the whole bike or does this have to be done section by section?
You won't see any bubbles because you only need to do this if you changed out the fluid from dry, like if you replaced your hoses. If you don't let air in through normal fluid changes this will not require ever being done.
The Motoscan App indicated both front and rear options 4min 28 sec into the video...any reason you chose to purge the ABS module on only one caliper on the front? Though I am confused why the option to do both front and rear option is indicated as there is only one ABS module. Maybe you would be good enough to unconfuse me?
There is one abs module for both circuits (front and rear) but I think they operate free of each other. Yeah you would probably have to do left/right side so double the work. But Ithink this bleeding is more for the ait trapped in the module itself and for the brake lines. Even the app tells you that the module bleed is not neccessary when only changing the fluid. Good luck
1 module with 2 pumps inside probably, it's quite big so makes sense
Ik heb de motoscan app voor me bmw hp4 maar hij werkt maar niet heb vanalles geprobeerd maar hij blijft steeds zeggen van no connection to control unit
if there is air in the hydraulic system, it does not solve this procedure, the air needs to leave the system
the abs seals off, that's why you bleed it more than once.
