it's actually nice to see this especially with mitch not having much pve experience, most people now a days wouldn't give others the light of day who are unfamiliar with whats going on. Having someone explain the encounters but also go through the logs with you and trying to give you insight on why you're not at your best potential. It's motivating.
Idk man, I played Vanilla - Wrath og and it was like this back then until that GS addon came out during ICC. Starting around the end of wrath / cataclysm it seems like the game pop shifted to only wanting to spare their time and effort on people who were equal skill level, for example guilds recruiting back during the end of wrath required gear scores that could only be reached by having a full set of ICC gear. Pugs for normal mode would want gearscores that required some heroic pieces. I came back a couple of times during panda and legion and the issue seems even worse with that "beat content while it is current" achievement they added a couple of xpacks ago. @@ambridge6645

The thing that Mitch doesn't realize about raid damage competition is that positioning is 75% of the whole deal. He's so often trailing the plays and figuring it out as he goes. Literally, Hyped is always in the right place to do maximum damage and avoid negative mechanics without moving.
Yeah that makes sense, as a mage it seems like you need all the time you can get to drink up, if you then on top of things have noob positioning you re wasting critical time
exactly, mitch is moving and not casting which is the number one no no for casters, gotta have as much uptime as possible. being in the right place for more uptime is always better.

Wish you'd realize Hyped played original classic during parse culture, THEN speedran. He has the whole instance down to muscle memory and knows these fights super well. There will simply be no competing Mitch, need to watch him and just do what he does!
Yup, a huge part of it is definitely positioning. Gotta know where to be so you can free-cast without moving due to mechanics as often and consistently as possible.
