This video spoke to me personally
Watching your tip videos has vastly improved my game. Thanks for the quality content
I'm going to have my high school golf team watch your videos. You have become my favorite instructor on UA-cam. Thank you.
Thank you for the simplicity of the tip. It makes perfect sense. 👍👍
Thanks, Matt! Have a wonderful holiday season!
yo. the way you explain golf is simple and on point. love your content
perfect tip! steep on back swing like with irons then shallow on downswing !!
Shallowing out, wide backswing, has been a GAME CHANGER for me after watching your video. Fairways EVERYTIME. Do you\should you do the same for your irons Matt? Great video so well explained. Onya
Merry Christmas Matt ! and a Happy New Year Keep them video's coming I love them and they are helpful
Thank you for another great video! A lot of good info!
Love it simple straightforward stuff
Great tips boss. MY driver is a work in progress, I have 110-115 swing speed but I hit down on the ball so its always a low piercing ball flight for a good shot or a massive slice as my miss, can't wait to try these tips at the range tomorrow!
great video man this is one of my biggest issues i noticed when going to the range with a trackman. i took a short swing with a good launch angle 14.1 and hit it 5 yrds shorter with more carry than another swing i made with 12 mph more ball speed but low launch angle. im naturally around 6 launch angle when i was trying to make changes got it in 9-11 range but really trying to hit 14 consistently but its going to take more time on the range.
always great content, ty!
Yep!
Another top quality lesson ⛳️
Another great program my friend. Be well. Merry Christmas.
I’m literally on the course right now played 14 (slide city) and couldn’t hit a drive…. I started watching this mid round… I know a terrible idea but there isn’t a soul on the course… I’ve just hit 6 balls on the 15th tee. I had a tee in front of my already tee’d ball to promote hitting up and my head Cover on the inside to emulate the in to out path.
Ball 1 right 1”at cut but a lot straighter
Balls 2-6 longest I’ve ever hit all down the left side with a draw.
I love you 😂
Thanks Matt interesting content
😂🤣😂🤣 if your ball starts way to the left probably swinging down, if your hitting way right slice probably hitting down, if your hitting it high probably swinging down..... check, check, and check. When did you sneak out and watch me play? Haha
Great video, going to watch this one over and over. Club speed for me is 103, 8° lofted driver, average carry 240 with super high flight. Could never find a way to practice that worked for me. Thanks for this video!!!
Awesome advice ! Hopefully, I will remember it. Three months from now when the snow is gone.😂
Good tips coach, I struggle with a low fade using a 10.5’ lofted driver. Knew I didn’t have enough loft angle but been unsure how to fix it. I’ll her a crack 🍻
Phenomenal video
Omg the third thing was literally what ruined my day today, this explanation chefs kiss
Thank you my good Sir.
This video cured my slice.
From 180 yards right to easy 230 straigt as hell
My attack angle is from -5.5 to -8 degrees. I hit the ball straight most times. Club head is around 111mph, 155-165 ball speed. Carry 240 rolling to 270. I am working on this :( One of the more funky things you'll see from my drives is the ball that starts really low and then rises up. Thanks for the video.
Low to high is a stinger
I hit down on the ball with driver with an attack angle of like -3 to -6 degrees and shit like that. And I only swing at like 94 mph max to boot.
Damm I’m pumped!!!!
you're the man
Will and yeah.
Do you use an x stiff driver shaft?
So what is a good or ideal attack angle you should be aiming for (assuming 10.5° loft)?
??
@@ivwshanesupposedly, a great launch angle is about 14 degrees. Attack angle of 3-4 should be just about right for most people assuming you can do it. I'm lucky if my angle of attack isn't negative with about 20 feet of peak ball height.
Much better than the money game episode… great stuff… Mr. SG is back. No more of the other stuff pls… No bueno.
👌👌👌
Here in Atlanta Golfing is not going to be fun for the next week especially this weekend with Temps falling to Single Digit.
Sure beats 3 feet of snow lol
@@jaygillis353 Sure beats -20 in Minnesota.🤣
With regard to attack angle, what is the ideal range of acceptable numbers for this stat with driver?
Ideally 2-5 degrees for most golfers. It really depends on your swing speed. Some pros hit at 0 degrees and some hit -1 but they do that for better launch conditions since their clubhead speed is so high. Drivers these days are so good at keeping spin down so it is key for most golfers to get the ball in the air on a positive attack angle and let the driver take care of the rest.
@@asapherd1879I can't hit up on the ball for nothin.
Watching this with my misses always being a straight left pull or a high spinny weak fade 😂
Tip at 3.30 has changed my life
No matter what I change I still can’t hit the ball more than 185, so frustrating watching older , smaller guys than me hit it past me every time. Always hitting long irons or hybrids into the green which leads to missed greens and too many bogies. How do I increase my swing speed ?
I'm young and not very big but I hit my 3 wood farther than my driver cause im terrible with that big stick. I got no clue about swing speed bud, sorry. I've swung about as fast as I can multiple times and I'd say maybe 95, 96 mph is pretty much all I can do. My problem is I hit the driver 20 feet off the ground.
from 80 yards to 180 thank you
this is money!
Welp, the first tip literally just brought me from forest dweller to fairway finder today. I thought you were supposed to have your hands in front. Who knew.
Can you make a video on do this only without the don’t do this in the same video. Maybe you have. But thanks.
I hit down 2 degree down with driver and I’m furious. It this ain’t works I don’t know 😂
Notoriously bad at hitting down with my driver. Going to try this at a range session and see. I hit my driver about 240 and it is all carry. Sometimes I can even have my ball pop out of its divot and move backwards. LOL
I feel personally attacked by this video. Because its all true. LoL! My 3 iron shot is a masterpiece, but my driver is everywhere but in the fairway.
And my driver is a bunch of super low bullets. (cause I suck with it)
My problem with the driver is I'm not 35 any more.
A large percentage of tour pros hit down with the driver.
No they do not. They launch the ball at like 15 degrees.
Who the heck hits down on their driver?? WTF!
honestly, probably 80% of rec golfers do. it's the reason for this stat..
"Shot Scope has been tracking millions of real golf shots around the world over the last several years. If you look at the distribution of driving distances amongst their users, you'll see that only 29% can hit it more than 250 yards. The largest segment of golfers is driving the ball between 200-224 yards."
I've been working on my attack angle for about 6 months now and I'm probably losing 20+ yards (average 240) of carry simply due to this issue..105 club speed.. I have an Garman R10, so always looking at my numbers
#2 is probably the worst tip I have ever heard! That move will really screw most amateurs up; try for one plane and good rotation if you want to hit it straighter and farther!! Your welcome!
But you’re not that good.
This is so long and boring. Get to the point
The entire video is the point. It’s not one simple thing. You have tik tok brain
