Ive been looking to get a kayak, I want a peddle one. Its the windy days like this on the pond that scare me and might make it not so enjoyable although I think an anchor might have solved some problems! I really liked this video and how just real it is fishing on the banks and in ponds in Texas. Solid video and very relatable for me!
The pedal drive is nice! Only problem is that the kayak is way heavier and usually longer. I got tired of lugging mine around, so I switched over to the catch 100. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Im gonna be in the saginaw area this weekend. I live near plano so I dont go to that side often. What are some good honey holes. Not looking for size. Looking for quanity.
I think a lot of your fans probably like that you shore fish a lot, and kayak.Getting a boat may change that, although, I’d rather fish out of boat then a kayak any day!
What kind of a boat you looking to get? I just bought a 20ft Stratos for 3k. I did put about 7k into it with livescope/trolling motor and humminbird graphs and lithium batteries.
Probably something similar to what you did. I think just a little aluminum boat that I can hit the lakes with and bring a friend/ my wife. Nothing too fancy to start. What I really need is a place to store it!
I’m lucky enough to fit it in my garage. I’ve been seeing alot of lowes and bass tracker boats for sale. Even bass pro/cabelas will have some new (2022) for crazy deals off. My friend picked up a triton for 16k off.
But I will say this, aluminum is more forgiving on stumps and beaching the boat… But fiberglass rides better, handles wind better but hates stumps lol. What part of Dfw are you located at? It looks like Keller or southlake in some of the videos. One of my friends had/has a Cajun bass boat with a 150 on it. It needs to be redecked but I’m sure he can work out a deal with you. He’s by Eagle mountain lake.
I fish Forth Worth area ponds as well! Super stoked for the spawn season to start up! Nice vid, new sub here! 🤙
Thank you for the sub!
Great video! Would love to see more kayak fishing 😉.
I’ve been wanting to do more kayaking too
That's a nice one for that little pond. Nothing like a chatterbait or lipless bite. I appreciate what you do.
Thank you!
I am so ready to get out. Always enjoy the trip. Nicely done.
Thank you! Weather has been great for fishing lately! I did get a crazy sunburn on my legs though!
@@thesouthwes That kayak will get you.
great vid, gave ya a sub. Ft worth and out west of the metro are my favorite locations to fish so many opportunities.
Thank you for the sub! There’s endless ponds in that area

Good luck! Are you going out on a kayak or hitting the banks?
