That's why safety precautions should be taken. Living with a spouse while having an affair is not wise, especially when the husband shows signs of potential violence. After almost getting strangled, it's way past time to move out. This seems like common sense, but those are precisely how those statistics are as high as they are. It would be best to spread education in order to help people understand how to handle themselves in situations like this.
The first minutes of this video are extremely difficult to listen to. Not because of the always stellar narration but, rather the horrific acting of the “distraught” husband.
About 6 years ago I would binge Forensic Files non-stop, and I would come across these kinds of cases all the time. After learning about the differences between real hysterics versus putting it is getting increasingly easier to differentiate between the two.

We were able to get over it easily because we had moved away from our family and home state. Mom was comical after they had a fight. I knew by the music she played.

What he did might even be a crime worthy of 20 years, but with only the details in the video I'm comfortable putting it at 10 years. He was going to let a murderer walk because he was lazy? If that is true that would have been absolutely devastating for the victim's loved ones. Plus the dire urgency to get a dangerous murderer in prison to protect the community should be the top priority always. That shit just sort of went right by most people in this vireo in all likelihood, but what the pathologist did is not only criminally insane, it's the height of incompetence when the victim had over 30 bruises all over her body, a completely obvious and clear sign of a struggle unless suicide victims have a standard method to beat themselves in a way that somehow perfectly imitates wounds sustained in a physical confrontation with someone. What in the f()ck is wrong with the pathologist? That is totally unacceptable and many would rightly feel is evil. I really hope the victim's family at the very least sues the pathologist so hard 1000 generations later when his descendents are living in a space station or on Mars, they are still paying what this bastard did to the victim's family. When I was considering divorcing my husband, I was broke as hell. I don't think that that applies here. I don't know why she didn't or wasn't able to split; maybe if she was physically able to get away, her life might have been spared. Also, I haven't finished watching yet. RIP to her. 😢
I don't know the law in that state but I some areas if you move out you could be seen as abandoning the marriage which can affect the division of assets.
Just before leaving my ex BF, I suffered a massive back/hip fracture, so while the emotions haven't changed, the circumstances certainly did. I was no longer able to live independently and had to require much assistance - and no, I also do not have family support nor extra income to float me aside from my savings. I made it through, and am now attempting to rebuild my financial/professional standings while making an appropriate escape route I didn't want this post to be about me, but others that regard situations such as intensely black and white details are either naive, judgemental, or inexperienced with real life
For her.. most likely trauma bonding / intermittent reinforcement / push pull / FOG : fear obligation guilt / codependency / people pleaser .. Normal rational thinking after that close encounter means someone would have stayed away. She didn’t showing “emotional damage” to ever go back there without law enforcement to grab things. A hyper rational person would have hired a moving crew to box belongings and have them relocated. Ask me. I’ve been in an abusive relationship that I thought I’d be stabbed in my sleep. I've often heard of lawyers telling people to stay to establish rights to the home. But it seems crazy. Surely the years they have lived there will do that. Its not safe to stay with an estranged spouse.
I am so glad that the Judge in the case gave a whole life sentence, and was so clear about what this man was like and what he did, in his pre sentencing remarks. It was good to hear that the children stood up for their mother, unlike the children of Tammy Daybell who treated their mother so cruelly.

For some that reads as shock for others it's crying denials but whatever this guy was doing was neither. The heavy crying comes a bit later (for some it doesn't come at all) but initially? No, initially he'd be in denial of plain facts or convinced the person could be 'saved' (even if it's clear they cannot).

When I was considering divorcing my husband, I was broke as hell.

I don't know why she didn't or wasn't able to split; maybe if she was physically able to get away, her life might have been spared.

I don't know the law in that state but I some areas if you move out you could be seen as abandoning the marriage which can affect the division of assets.
Just before leaving my ex BF, I suffered a massive back/hip fracture, so while the emotions haven't changed, the circumstances certainly did. I was no longer able to live independently and had to require much assistance - and no, I also do not have family support nor extra income to float me aside from my savings. I made it through, and am now attempting to rebuild my financial/professional standings while making an appropriate escape route
I didn't want this post to be about me, but others that regard situations such as intensely black and white details are either naive, judgemental, or inexperienced with real life
For her.. most likely trauma bonding / intermittent reinforcement / push pull / FOG : fear obligation guilt / codependency / people pleaser ..
Normal rational thinking after that close encounter means someone would have stayed away. She didn’t showing “emotional damage” to ever go back there without law enforcement to grab things. A hyper rational person would have hired a moving crew to box belongings and have them relocated.

alright sure, its bullshit theatrics........however, people react to grief differently, some laugh, some cry, some carry on as normal, some go into shock and so forth. there is not a "correct" way to deeal with this kind of grief (when its real) and so to state that "you would simply be in overwhelming shock" is absolutely not true

For some that reads as shock for others it's crying denials but whatever this guy was doing was neither. The heavy crying comes a bit later (for some it doesn't come at all) but initially? No, initially he'd be in denial of plain facts or convinced the person could be 'saved' (even if it's clear they cannot).
