FATHER ALAR, THANK YOU 🙏🏻 SO MUCH FOR THIS MUCH MUCH NEEDED TALK ….
I drove back from my 3 hour road trip last evening Father, (includes the 0-20 mile per hour drive on the LA freeways) and eagerly stopped by at the Adoration of The Blessed Sacrament Chapel in my local Church before heading home (it closes at 8PM) and I felt instantly the PEACE🕊 AND LOVE ❤️ & JOY from OUR LORD CHRIST YESHUA 🤍 as I sat there for an hour ….
(Just as your story here when you go in to see Him at midnight when you are famished & exhausted…..)
Praying for RUSSIA, UKRAINE, CANADA, and the USA 🇺🇸 😢💔

Thank Fr Chris for your lectures. Icons and statues, and sacramental help me to pray 🙏
As a retired teacher, I always used an eclectic approach to teach which uses ALL senses.😇
You have given us a very thorough understanding of Icons and Graven Images, their value and usefulness. Thank you for your time and effort in making this beautiful presentation, Fr. Chris, my deepest gratitude. Yesterday, a storm hit in Belgium in 2 provinces, one was in our province. Before it started, I placed the Image of the Divine Mercy on the glass window facing the street of my neighbours houses. The windspeed was very devastating that destroyed many houses in some places and 2 persons died in the other province. There was no report of calamities in our province. Thanks to Jesus Divine Mercy and Jesus, I Trust In You, miraculous and powerful.
Thank you and God bless you. I appreciate you supporting our mission of Divine Mercy
I've been listening to The yearlong diary of St. Faustina, she wrote how Jesus had flowers for her and providing her a private room in the infirmary when she was suffering with TB.
Last week i've been sick with a terrible cough, one morning around 3am I woke up to a strong floral scent surrounding me!
If you mix two bulb smash garlic with a slice of two three inch ginger and tablespoon honey in a cup boiling water cool down a little and drink it might help a lot and never stop the rosary
Thank you for sharing about icons and their history and how they help keep our faith by seeing and remembering . To pray in our busy lives . And to acknowledge that holiness is about our house . Peace and love of God also. Our heavenly family .
Thank Fr Chris Alar, for your incredible teaching. God bless you and your best ministry.
Thank you for supporting our Divine Mercy ministry
Fr. Chris, Being a Dual Catholic, I have both icons and statues. I really enjoy your discussions. Br Sean Francis TaylorFSD
I am blown away. Beginning after mass, God had a friend get me in touch with the Shrine of St. Faustina near Memphis so I can begin praying for the actively dying. Thus has been on my heart for a few weeks. Also, my Bible reading was Collosians and it said not to worship angels, and before I could ask, I saw this playing live and I watched it. Question answered (Fr. Rob will be thankful). And I am blow away about the picture of the Divine Mercy matches the Shroud of Turrin. Wow!
Thank you.
Thank you for sharing
I am so grateful you are putting this out! And so easy to find it this way. Thank you Father Chris God bless you
Wow!! really so….a-mazing and so…in-credible !! Father Chris for this very meaningful talk of “Icons and graven images” I just love it and learned so much, father you are a great gift from God. Thanks ! Thanks! and lots of thanks…God bless you and all MIC.
Thank you Evelyn so much for taking the time to join us and God bless you!
Thank you father Chris!
💕🙏🏻🌴🕊️🌷Thank you very much Father Alar. I have been questioned so much by protestants and sadly by Catholics about all that you are teaching us in this presentation. Now, I can give them a good answer. God bless you and keep you safe.💕🕊️🙏🏻🌴🌷
Thank you for being willing to learn about your faith and to help share it. God bless
At the beginning of the pandemic Father had a video about putting the blessed Divine Mercy image on our front door. I did - and was grateful to God that I did not get the virus until early this year (that lasted only 3 days - just a few body aches and chills - that was it). Then 2 weeks ago someone took it off the inside of my unlocked storm door (odd, since boxes are sometimes left by that door and no takes them and they are left, literally, 3 feet from a public sidewalk). Anyway, I'm not sure if they wanted the image for themselves or got tired of seeing it on my door - but either way, I'll be putting another one back up soon! :-) It gave me comfort every time I'd go out to get my mail.
Thank Father Chris Alar for this talk on icons. I have learned so much and appreciate the clarity of this subject . As allows this teaching strengthen my faith in Divine Mercy and its importance to the world
today. GIving thanks to the entire efforts of all at the Shrine of Divine Mercy Art in making available these canvas images to everyone to place in our homes after getting them blessed by a priest. A tiny suggestion could they be blessed by a shrine of Divine Mercy then send ? Especially for those unable to get to church due to illness or transportation issues or in nursing homes ? 🙏
Yes, if you contact Peter at Peterjames@Marian.org then I can bless them before they are shipped. God bless!
Thank you fr Chris

DO CATHOLICS WORSHIP STATUES?
INTRODUCTION
THE ACCUSATION
Seeing Catholics Kneeling before statues and other Sacred art, some have accused them of idolatry-the giving to another creature or object the worship due to God alone. Some even claim that the Catholic church removed the second commandment, "You shall not make for yourself a graven (loosely defined as "Carved or etched") Image", So that statue worship would seen permissible.
How true are these accusations?
TOWARDS THE SOLUTION These are serious charges, but are completely unfounded.
THE CATECHISM
First, let's be clear : Catholics absolutely DO NOT worship statues or images in any form. Worship is reserved for God alone. Idolatry in ANY from absolutely condemned. The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 2110-2114) spells this out clearly. Anyone Who suggest otherwise is mistaken and seriously misrepresents Catholic teaching.
THE POWER OF SACRED ART
Sacred art is used to evangelize, Catechize and inspire it is also used to show reverence and honor for God and His Saints. When a Catholic kneels or bows in prayer before a statue they are not worshiping it in anyway whatsoever. They are using it as a person might use a picture of his family-to recall them, even pray for them, when he is not with them. He obviously does not consider a picture of his children as being his actual children, but simply a reminder of them. And so it is with Sacred Art in any form. It is used ultimately to raise our hearts and minds to God-to aid us in prayer.
HISTORICAL EVIDENCE
Catholics do not worship idols, but have a long tradition of using statues in our Churches, because thousand years ago, people were not able to read and write. The average person could not read and understand the stories in the Bible for themselves, until the early 1900's Priests and Scribes were the only people in the Church who were educated enough to read and understand the Bible. Therefore, Church used statues, paintings and Stained glass windows to visually poetry the stories in the Bible and show what people from that time period may have looked like. The stained glass windows in a Church often depicted the stories from Jesus life visually, so that everyone, including little children, could understand who Jesus was.
BIBLICAL SUPPORT
In fact shortly after giving the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20, God commands Moses to make two large golden statues of cherubim for the Ark of the Covenant (Exodus 25: 1-8, and similarly for the temple in 1 Chronicles 28: 8-19 Moses was also commanded to make "a bronze serpent, and set it on a pole; and if a serpent bit any man, he would look at bronze serpent and live " (Numbers 21: 8-9 centuries, later when some began to worship it as god (Netushtan), King Hezekiah destroyed it 2 Kings 18: 4.
CONCLUSION
Our Holy Family statues of JESUS, MARY JOSEPH and the SAINTS are ways that Catholics honor and preserve their memory. Through visual means in our everyday life. Remember the expression, "out if sight, out of mind?" As Catholics, we never want our Holy Family Jesus Mary Joseph and the example of the Saints to be out of sight or out of mind but be forever enduring in our hearts and in our everyday lives.
Thanks for explanation ..Fr ChrisI got better and deeper understanding of our faith

Thank you 🙏 so much Father. My house is fully decorated with icons and statues (a total of 7 statues of the Blessed Mother) and I pray to all of them. They are not “idols” but sacred objects for prayer and protection. Can’t count how many times Our Lady of Guadeloupe replied to my petitions on behalf of others. Can’t count how many times St. Peregrine answered to a cure for cancer praying for other people, can’t count how many times St. Anthony of Padua help me locate my car key 🔑 that vanished as I am getting ready to go to church, can’t count how many orchids bloom that couldn’t give any flowers at all,
placing the plants next to St. Francis of Assisi, and the list is long. Amazingly so many criticisms about our Catholic statues. I have never heard criticisms about the Orthodox Church and the Coptic Church.

Father Chris, we need to get this video out to every priest and seminarian. It is sad when Marian Associates purchase a large Divine Mercy image and the priest ‘graciously’ allows it to be placed in the gathering space or hallway, not properly honored. And Divine Mercy Sunday so minimized…Jesus weeps. I love the image matched to the shroud of Turin, the three D model is awe inspiring. Thank you for this video, you are all In my prayers.
Thank you Barb and God bless you. Yes, Jesus said he wants it in all churches and homes. Thank you for helping us spread that message
Have anyone else noticed? To me, Fr Chris haircut, as he bow his head down, looks like Divine Mercy image ❤️
????? Just looks like a military haircut. That's quite an imagination to compare his haircut to the image of Divine Mercy.
