Best brisket in TX, ribs were up there too. Most everything else was just average. Great experience though. Interstellar, Goldees and Barbs are the best overall.

I live in Austin and have stood in line 3 times a Franklin's and that brisket is absolute perfection and consistent exact flavor every time. I've tried most of great bbq spots in town to and one that shines brighter is Leroy & Lewis who have mastered smoking bbq but it also the variety as they are butchers so monthly they are trying dif types of meats that you've never heard of before and making them near perfect. Because of using the whole pig they even make a bacon rib which you can't buy from a butcher and it's exactly what you think an over the top rib that will make you slap your mama. I'm freaking stoked cause they are moving from their food truck into a brick & mortar that is 9 mins from my place.... I just did a bbq backflip..back-flip... can't wait... CHEERS GUYS🍻
Real bbq takes a lot of time. The meats and wood are expensive as well. The prices for good bbq are completely reasonable. High end places aren't that much more than than bad ones.
TBH, the pork ribs and the potato salad look fire. However, I just can't, with the way they purposely keep the line as part of the experience, because without that part of the hype, people would actually just judge the food as it is.
He didn't "keep the line." They sell out every day with 5, 1000 gallon smokers. He is cooking hundreds of briskets. It is that good. That's why there is a line. If you don't know what you are talking about it's better to remain silent.

If you have been, then you should have known the line experience isn't for you on top of just being wrong. All of the top places in TX have a line, not just Franklin.
