Nice. My brother in law owed me some money, but he has a 3500 Chevy cargo van with a 6.0 in it. I just told him to give me the van and we'll call it even and he said yes! I'm swapping it into my 1995 GMC Sierra (c1500) extended cab. I'm going to follow your build, can't wait.
I replaced the motor in my '96 c2500hd with a reman. 5.7L vortec after I cracked the block and I kick myself everyday for not doing a 6.0L LS swap, the motor is so gutless it's not even funny. I'm planning on doing a 0411 PCM swap soon so hopefully I can get some more power out of it.
yes Im doing a ls swap in my 1996 chevy short bed and i could use some help with my old harness removal. Im going with the Holley termanex max system for my 6.0 and 4l80 trans. Im not sure how to remove the harness from the firewall. i would really like to talk to you on the phone. can you give me some help please. Thanks
I'm sure you all about sick of hearing from me,but his truck same as mine ,so that helps alot ..I have everything working, but my speedo,so I'm hoping he can help me with that...what did he do to get into work? I hooked my speedo wire up to output wire and add it to my outputs but it will not work...help please
Man, I have a 96 obs with a ls1 and a terminator x. All hooked up, I just need to figure out the ignition wires. If anyone could help, I’ll be indebted

It wouldn't be cheap. I put in minimum 50-60 hours from the first wrench on the old 5.7 to firing the LS. that 6.0 is nicee!!! i wish i had the funds to do that to my c1500
With the 6.0 ls or the 5.3 can you use the same transmission of the 5.7 ?????
Yes you can. We used Advanced Adapters 712500A on this.
Why not run a different transmission unless is he running it stock?

You can LS swap it forsure. But as far as the suspension goes, I'm not sure.

We dont have smog testing here in Saskatchewan but no this wouldnt pass. The cats and all the emission systems are deleted.
