why does the background art always wants to tell me something, it's like every picture in deemo means something far deeper than I thought #NINEPOINTEIGHT
Seconded. It also has other meanings: (Unrequired) love at first sight. Complexity: one that does not favor easy interpretation. Manipulativity: due to it's artificial nature. Unattainableness: which is longed for but destined to remain as a dream, a never-to-be-fulfilled wish. They symbolize new beginnings in life, but also that "some doors should never be opened."
Maybe. It wouldn't be the first time an artist draws something only for the aesthethic. But knowing Deemo's storyline, it makes sense. This goes into spoiler territory, but Deemo's (the friendly shadowy man) got more to him than meets the eye.
Jade Demers He got hit by a truck, it happens to everyone, it doesn't make him so special. But I have a theory: "Alice looks so nice in her blue dress and red cape... Oh wait, the only thing Deemo's wearing is that robe! Oh fuck, it would sure look awkward and bland if the entire picture was red... Oh, I know! I will just make a blue rose so it balances all the red out. *The rose IS ancient anyway.* " And that's how this picture was made.
So much for keeping spoilers out. And wtf, happens to everyone? The dude died, and his sister's in a phantasmagoric coma. I'm sure *that* happens daily in someone's life. You seem pretty intent on the fact there's nothing to the picture, soo... are you the one who made the artwork? Was the artist's vision mentionned somewhere? If that's the case, I understand, but otherwise, why not let people have fun and speculate?

Nah, it's just there because it looks cool. Also, the rose is ancient so why just draw a regular rose?
